My Son's Funeral

Original Post November 19, 2019

Sensei says funerals are not really for the dead. "They are for those left behind. The dead are long gone by the time a funeral is held."

It's necessary for me spiritually as both a witness and a testimony to comment on my son's private funeral. The ceremony which I was not invited to attend and the public memorial  service which I was advised it better for all concerned if I not attend.

Why?

Sophisticated Pagans grounded in the loftiest vain philosophy along with the religious practitioners honed in the finest traditions of men > both sides steeped in the rudiments of this world were there gathered in one accord at my son's funeral. All like-minded in union sharing in love and in great comfort. Knowing my dear son is at home with them in altruistic pluralism.

These kinds felt me undesirable.  Praise God!

2 Corinthians 2:16 King James Version (KJV)

16 To the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things?

And my final comment:

Matthew 8:22 King James Version (KJV)

22 But Jesus said unto him, Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead.

Amen! Maranatha!
