Jesus' 2 missions are also mine
The servant is not above his master John 15:20
An email I sent my sister in Christ this morning:
Praise God! You know Sarah, I just, this morning had a major revelation from the Holy Spirit. Just as our Lord is both the lamb of God and the Lion of Judah (lamb and king) , We also are here looked upon by grievous wolves as lambs and in the age to come we shall serve our Lord Jesus as kings and judges over the age to come Revelation 1:5-6. Romans 8:14-17; 1 Corinthians 2:9
When I woke this morning there were some things on my mind that were very disturbing when reviewing events of this past year. Then, the Holy Spirit told me, "The reason these things upset you is because you still have much "love for this world" in your heart. (1st John 1:15-17) Let go of these things, do not be concerned about the wrongs done to you but ensure you've done no wrong. Cast your cares upon Jesus, set you mind on the things of Christ which is in essence, Seek ye first the kingdom of God... and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you>'" Amen!
In other words we are NOT to focus on these temporal things (2 Corinthians 2:14) as far as setting our hearts on them, but to remember we are in the world, not of it...(John 17:14,15; Romans 12:2.) We are to focus on the unseen, the age to come... Praise God.. Hallelujah!
I think the acid test of a Christian is the question of "where is our heart? What things matter most to you?" Amen! We all need to ask ourselves this question: "What things concern me most?"
May God grant us by His great grace and empower us by the Holy Spirit Through Jesus Christ to be in the world but NOT of it and to SEEK FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD... AMEN!
Amen, yes Praise God I am coming into focus on the age to come in a greater way! And for you and the saints also. Praise God. I've never looked at the whole Bible being about God restoring what was lost in the garden of Eden, but now since you mentioned it, it makes so much sense. Amazing. Yes, had a meeting this evening and all I could think about was how this world truly holds no future for me and yes I share your thoughts Sarah, I want so much to be with our Lord Jesus. Thank you for your thoughts. Thank you for your insight and encouragement that strengthens the saints in these last days. God bless you. Randy
