The Cross and The Stone

When we truly come to the cross of Christ Jesus, We immediately discover most profoundly that we are naked and  wretched and helplessly, hopelessly lost.   It's precisely at that moment we surrender our life gladly and agree with God's word and admit we are lost sinners, we confess and weep, we repent, saying we are so sorry and so undeserving.  And then we ask like a child would ask, we ask Jesus to have mercy on us and save us, to be our savior .   And at that moment we are saved, born again and are new creations in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Following our conversion we soon find we must bear that cross, living out by faith the many trials that beset us each and every day.  We are saved, we are justified and are being sanctified (made holy) every day on this earth in our new, redeemed lives. Yes we've changed so much. But yet there are still so many nagging little sins that seem to hang onto us. For some it's drinking, for others it may be pride or the love of this world holding onto our position or money.  And then, it comes we find ourselves standing before that stone Christ spoke of.  And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken    It is here we find our cognitive dissonance (our inner drive that wants to hold all our beliefs in harmony) is completely and utterly destroyed. Here we must either willingly fall on that stone and are broken or that stone will grind us to powder. One way or the other, God will have his way with us.

DEAR LORD OUR PRAYER IS IN THE NAME OF JESUS SEPARATE US, MAKE US READY FOR OUR BRIDEGROOM. MAY WE BE AS THE 5 WISE VIRGINS.  MAY WE FALL ON THAT STONE AND BE BROKEN OF ANYTHING THAT WOULD HINDER OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH YOU.   AMEN!!!

"Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear My voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me." (Revelation 3:20)
That's about where we are right now.  About three verses away from the Rapture. . .
"After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter." (Revelation 4:1)
Maranatha!
