9 -11 Romans 9 - 11 Written to the JEWISH REMNANT and Gentiles saved during Tribulation
- Revelation 14:6-7: "And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters."
This verse directly depicts the gospel's global dissemination via an angel during the tribulation's judgments, fulfilling the universal "sound" and "words" Paul mentions, right before further end-time events unfold.
- Zechariah 12:10: "And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn."
This foretells Israel's national repentance and recognition of the Messiah during the tribulation, tying into the gospel's redemptive message going out as in Romans 10:18. - Zechariah 13:8-9: "And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the Lord, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein. And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The Lord is my God."
Here, the prophet outlines the severe testing and purification of Israel (the "third part" remnant), mirroring the distress of Jacob's Trouble while promising salvation— a process where the divine "words" of calling and response echo Paul's universal theme. - Zechariah 14:1-5: "Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee. For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city. Then shall the Lord go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle. And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south. And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the Lord my God shall come, and all the saints with thee."
This passage details the climactic siege of Jerusalem by all nations, the Lord's direct intervention, and the dramatic deliverance—illustrating the global scale of end-times conflict and resolution, akin to the worldwide reach in Romans 10:18.
- Jeremiah 30:7: "Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble, but he shall be saved out of it."
This defines the period as one of unique anguish for Israel (Jacob), yet with assured salvation, setting the stage for the prophetic fulfillments in Revelation and Zechariah. - Daniel 12:1: "And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book."
Daniel echoes Jeremiah's "time of trouble," emphasizing angelic protection, unprecedented suffering, and deliverance for God's people—aligning with the tribulation's global judgments and the gospel's reach to the ends of the earth.
