“And in this mountain shall the Lord of hosts make unto all people a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined.
And He will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all peoples, and the veil that is spread over all nations,” Isaiah 25:6-7.

Introduction

This Scripture text in Isaiah is just one of the three passages in the prophecies of God’s Word which explicitly speak of the Lord God preparing a “feast” or “supper.”   It is my intention in this study to point out the importance of this often overlooked or neglected prophecy.  I invite our readers to join us for a Bible study which I pray will be enlightening to every true believer…..

Where will this Supper be prepared?

Our text passage makes it plain that the “feast” the Lord God is preparing will be held “in this mountain.”   Notice that this is stated twice in these two verses of Scripture.   Therefore we can conclude that the location of the “feast” or “supper” the Lord is preparing will be in the city of Jerusalem in the land of Israel.  Is there any further proof of this in the Scriptures?  Indeed there is!
The Kidron Valley…..I call our reader’s attention to the Kidron Valley in Jerusalem.  The Kidron Valley is located on the east side of Jerusalem between the actual city and the Mount of Olives.   Look at a Bible map to acquaint yourself with the city and area around Jerusalem.   When Christ left the Temple in Jerusalem and went to the upper room in Bethany shortly before His arrest and crucifixion, He had to cross the Kidron Valley to get there, Matthew 26:17-30..  When His disciples assembled on  the Mount of Olives just before His ascension back to the Father, they had to cross the Kidron Valley to get there, Acts 1:4-12.   When the Lord God returns to Jerusalem at the end of the Tribulation, He will come from the east passing over the Mount of Olives and crossing the Kidron Valley to reenter the city of Jerusalem, Zechariah 14:3-4. I am emphasizing this because the Kidron Valley has always played a prominent role  in the history of Israel and the Jewish people.   Look up the references to it in God’s Word, and see what has occurred there in the past.  It is this valley which is yet to play a prominent role in the future when the Lord God makes “a feast” or “supper.”
Isaiah 63:1-6…..In these Scriptures are one of the most vivid descriptions of the bodily, visible, return of the Lord to be found in all of God’s Word.   Notice in this passage that the Lord God explicitly states, “I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the peoples there was none with Me: for I will tread them in Mine anger, and trample them in My fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon My garments, and I will stain all My raiment.  For the day of vengeance is in Mine heart, and the year of My redeemed is come,” 63:3-4.   Again notice verse 6, “…I will tread down the peoples in Mine anger, and make them drunk in My fury, and I will bring down their strength to the earth.”   Now compare this passage with Zechariah 14:1-5 and Revelation 14:18-20.  This latter passage is speaking of God’s “angel” [messenger] thrusting a sickle into the earth and reaping “the vine of the earth.”  Notice that it is cast into “the great winepress of the wrath of God,” 14:19.  According to the next Scripture this “winepress” is located outside the city of Jerusalem, 14:20.   This Scripture explicitly states that “blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.”  This means that the blood will be approximately four feet deep for a distance of some two hundred miles.
Quite significantly, this is the distance from the Kidron Valley on the east side of Jerusalem to the plains of Megiddo, [Armageddon] taking the measurement through the connecting valleys of
1
Jehoshaphat, Achor [Achan], and Megiddo.  The blood of the slain of the Lord God in that day will be a depth of approximately four feet reaching “unto the horse bridles.”   This means that millions of unsaved, God hating, Christ rejecting,  rebellious, incorrigible wicked, people out of all the nations on the earth will come against the Lord God and His chosen Jewish brethren, and will be slaughtered on that terrible last day of the Tribulation period.
This is the “feast” or “supper” that the Lord God is preparing even as I write today.   No, there is no mistake about this.   This is not simply my “interpretation.”   Notice that Isaiah 25:6 specifically refers to “fat things full of marrow.”  Folks, “marrow” is the substance that fills the interior of the  bones of living creatures; both human and animal.   Let this truth soak in!

Who is this Supper prepared for?

[1]   Who is this “feast” or “supper” being made for?   In one sense of the Word, we might say that it is being made for the benefit and blessing of the redeemed survivors of the Tribulation upon the earth.   After this terrible judgment is over, the redeemed survivors of the Tribulation, both Jew and Gentile, upon the earth will no longer have to put up with the wickedness of the wicked, for all of the incorrigible wicked will be destroyed from off the face of the earth at the end of the Tribulation, Psalm 37:1-2; 37:9-10; 104:35; Isaiah 13:9.  Not one unsaved person will be left alive on the earth to enter the glorious Millennial Kingdom of the Lord God.  Compare the Judgment of the Gentiles following the Tribulation as set forth in Matthew 25:31-46.
I should not have to remind the serious student of God’s Word that when Noah and his family came forth from the Ark in Genesis 8:16-19, there was not a single lost person left alive on the face of the earth.   Even so it will be when the Judgment of the Tribulation is concluded following the visible, bodily, return of the Lord Jesus Christ back to this earth.   Praise the Lord!   Glory to God!   Hallelujah!  Thank you precious Lord Jesus!
[2]   But the Scriptures reveal that the Lord God is making this “feast” or “supper” for a special group of living creatures.   In Ezekiel 39:17-20 we read, “And, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord God; Speak unto every feathered fowl, and to every beast of the field, Assemble yourselves and come; gather yourselves on every side to My sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you, even a great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, that ye may eat flesh, and drink blood.   Ye shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of rams, of lambs, and of goats, of bullocks, all of them fatlings of Bashan.  And ye shall eat fat till ye be full, and drink blood till ye be drunken, of My sacrifice which I have sacrificed for you.  Thus ye shall be filled at My table with horses and chariots, with mighty men, and with all men of war, saith the Lord God.”   Notice that it is specifically stated that the Lord God is making this “sacrifice” for “every feathered fowl, and every beast of the field.”   Why is this specifically stated?
For the past 4,400 years since the flood in the days of Noah, mankind has been an eater of meat, Genesis 9:3.   This is not what God intended for mankind, or even for the animals and birds in the beginning, Genesis 1:29-30.   The Lord God permitted mankind to become meat eaters following the flood in the days of Noah, because He knew the wickedness of man upon the earth, Genesis 6:5.  Mankind before the flood had violated and cast aside every commandment of God.  I highly suspect that many people had become meat eaters before the flood in direct violation of God’s commands.  Regardless, the Lord God decreed that mankind would be permitted to become meat eaters after the flood.  So for the past 4,400 years men have hunted and killed, raised and slaughtered, the animals and birds, which were totally innocent of the transgression which Adam’s disobedience brought upon the whole creation, Romans 5:12; 8:19-23.   All through these centuries the birds and animals have had to pay with their lives for a transgression against God for which they were totally innocent.
Folks, at the end of the Tribulation it will be “payback time” for the birds of the air and the beasts of the earth, as the Lord God makes for them a great “sacrifice.”   Why was Ezekiel inspired of God to describe this event as a “sacrifice” being made by the Lord God Himself on behalf of “the fowls of the air, and the beasts of the earth?”   Sacrifices were made as the price of, or in view of redemption.   Hello!  Does this mean that the Lord God is redeeming the birds of the air and the beasts of the earth
2
from the curse brought upon the whole creation through the transgression of Adam?  I don’t know!  But it appears to me that it does, and it is certainly worth considering!
What I do know is that the birds and animals will no longer be meat for mankind upon the earth following the Tribulation period.   Read it for yourself in Hosea 2:18, Isaiah 11:6-9, and 65:25. From that time forward men, animals, and birds will co-exist in peace and harmony upon the earth.   The “wild” nature will be removed from the animals and birds, and all flesh upon the earth will live together in harmony and peace. Both man and animals upon the earth will revert back to eating the green herbs of the earth for their food.  Glory to God!   Hallelujah!   Praise the Lord!

When will this Supper come to pass?

I hope every reader has been paying attention up to this point, for now I want to make a Scriptural connection that is both prophetic and important.   Read on…..
In Matthew 24:32-35 the Lord Himself explicitly stated that the “generation”  living on the earth which sees the things prophesied by the Lord in the first 31 verses of Matthew 24 come to pass, would “know” that the coming of the Lord is near, even at the doors,” 24:33.  Notice that 24:30 includes the Lord’s return to the earth at the end of the Tribulation.  From what we have already studied, we KNOW that this will include “the feast” and “supper,” even though this event is not described in the prophecies given by the Lord in Matthew 24.
Folks, most serious students of Bible prophecy believe that humanity is living in “the last generation” of this present dispensation prophesied by the Lord RIGHT NOW; and that the “generation” is framed by and around the nation and people of Israel. Request my Bible study entitled “Why?  Here is why!”which is an exposition of “The Parable of the Fig Tree.” This study will give our readers a more in-depth look into this parable, including “this generation.”
There may be disagreement over when this “last generation” began, but few disagree that we are living in it and drawing close to the end of it RIGHT NOW.  Folks, we who are living today have seen all “the signs” predicted in God’s Word appearing to mark or signal that we are indeed living in the final “generation” of humanity which will see the Lord’s return.  This then would have to mean that “the feast” and “supper” of the Lord will be included in this final “generation.”   So why is this significant?   I’m so glad you asked…..
Keep in mind exactly what is explicitly stated in the Scriptures about the “feast” and “supper” in the Scriptures we studied in Isaiah 25:6-7, 63:1-6, and Ezekiel 39:17-20.   Now let’s turn and read a portion of Scripture in Proverbs 30:11-14 which is commonly overlooked or ignored by “prophecy teachers.”
There is a generation that curseth their father, and doth not bless their mother.
There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness.
There is a generation, O how lofty are their eyes!  And their eyelids are lifted up.
There is a generation, whose teeth are as swords, and their jaw teeth as knives, to devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men.”
It is obvious that Solomon was speaking of one specific “generationwho would live on the earth.   Folks, are we who claim to be true believers today so spiritually dense that we cannot [or will not] see that Solomon was describing the “generation” we believers are living in today in exact detail?   Every detail that Solomon set forth in these Scriptures “fits” this present end-time “generation” perfectly.   But Solomon not only described this present “generation.”   He told us what was going to happen to it!
Drop down in the chapter to 30:17, “The eye that mocketh at his father, and despiseth to obey his mother, the ravens of the valley shall pluck it out, and the young eagles shall eat it.”   Did you hear it?  Are you paying attention to the Word?   Isn’t this exactly the same thing described in Ezekiel 39:17-20 where the Lord God invites the fowls of the air and the beasts of the earth to His “sacrifice” which He is going to make for them?   Those who would deal honestly with the Word of God know that it is.
But in neither passage in Isaiah 25:6-7 or Ezekiel 39:17-20 is the word “supper” used.   So why do
3

I keep referring to this great “sacrifice” as a “supper?”   I’m so glad you asked…..
Now let’s go directly to a passage in God’s Word which is explicitly speaking of the return of the Lord God back to this earth at the end of the Tribulation.   In Revelation 19:17-18 we read, “And I saw an angel standing in the Sun; and He cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;  That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.”
Folks, isn’t this exactly what is called for in Ezekiel 39:17-20, except that in Ezekiel it is stated to be a “sacrifice,” and in this passage a “supper.”   You know it is!

Conclusion

Dear readers, it is glaringly obvious that this “generation” of people living today are the very proud, arrogant, unbelieving, “generation” that Solomon spoke of in Proverbs 30:11-14, and that the Lord Himself spoke of in “The Parable of the Fig Tree” in Matthew 24:32-35.  Same “generation” of people!  In speaking of them, Solomon said that “the ravens” would pluck out their eyeballs.  Does this give us any indication of how close we are to the end of this present dispensation, and the coming of the Lord for His New Covenant believers, and for the Tribulation to begin on earth upon those unbelievers who are left behind at the rapture?    You know it does!
Another glaring observation…..   Today “polite society” refers to the evening meal as “dinner.”   I was a farm boy before the Lord God graciously called me into His ministry, and my family ate “dinner” at noon during the heat of the day.   At evening we ate “supper.”   Today, I still eat “supper” in the evening and dinner at noon.  I am  not near as concerned about “polite society” as I am about the eternal souls of men and women, boys and girls.  Our readers may take my lack of respect for “polite society” any way they choose.
Folks, we are living in the evening of this world’s final sixth day of God’s great week, 2 Peter 3:8.   It is evening time and the sun is setting on this present evil world, Galatians 1:4.  The “day of the Lord” and the two darkest hours of this world’s night are dead ahead.   It is “supper time!” How can any true believer seriously study these passages and claim otherwise?
Significantly, God’s inspired Word speaks of two “suppers” occurring during this same time period.  One is the “supper” the Lord God is preparing for the wicked, which is the subject of this study.  The other is “the marriage supper of the Lamb,” Luke 14:15-24; Revelation 19:6-9.   Dear reader, which of these two suppers would you prefer to attend?   You will be present at one or the other of these suppers.  Which one?
ARE YOU READY for the coming of our Lord and Savior at the pre-tribulation rapture of God’s people?   It WILL take place at any minute of any day now.   My heart’s desire for every reader is that we meet at “the marriage supper of the Lamb” in glory.   Please, please, don’t disappoint me!   Any reader who has any doubts about their salvation in Christ should carefully read John 3:16; 3:36; 5:24; 14:6, Acts 4:12; 16:30-31, Romans 10:8-13, Ephesians 2:8-10, and Titus 3:5.   Then earnestly pray and claim the Lord God’s promise that His Holy Spirit will guide you into the full truth of the Word, John 16:12-15.  I want you to be saved, and to have the assurance of your salvation.  Read 1 John 5:13.  I am praying that the Lord God will carry this message home to the heart of every unsaved person who reads it.
