Dear God we Saints ask appropriately

strongs 1905 to ask appropriately

appropriate (adj.)
"specially suitable, proper," early 15c., from Latin appropriatus, past participle of appropriare "make one's own" (see appropriate (v.)). Related: Appropriately; appropriateness.

When we read the Bible we're not just casual observers of God's word, but rather we're commanded to "apprehend and take ownership and become an integral part of such."  Read Psalms 119:11: "Thy word have I hid in my heart..."

Often in prayer I pray with my Bible open.   Today I'd like to share:

Asking in accordance with Colossians 1:9-14 KJV; Revelation 22:20-21

Dear God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ we ask you this day that we might be filled with the knowledge of your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. That we might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; Strengthened with all might, according to your glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; giving thanks unto you which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light; Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of your dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood even the forgiveness of sins.    Amen!

Even so, come Lord Jesus. And your grace be with us. Amen!

Maranatha!
