Pray like Paul. Understanding 1 Timothy 2:1 KJB
Pray Like Paul.
Here is my study on the subject
2 Timothy 1:18-20
18This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare;
2 Timothy 1:18-20
18This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare;
19 Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:
20 Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme.
1 Timothy 2:1
“I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;”
King James Version (KJV)
Paul exhorts* us to pray for ALL men in 1 Timothy 2:1 KJB.
* encourage, stimulate, urge, incite, instigate
Amen!
Supplications (literally a humble begging beg, pray, to entreat a humble petition, make a humble request.
Prayers plural. Many and of variation no doubt. See Matthew Henry’s commentary in notes below.

The literal meaning of prayer is an earnest petition that is considered less than a supplication
Intercede means to come between, in context the person and God. This is our PRIESTLY ROLE how sobering and terrifying that Paul is giving us a foreshadow of eternal roles as Priests and Kings with Christ. 2 Timothy 2:12, Romans 8:17, Revelation 1:6, 5:10, 12:5, Psalm 2, Revelation 19; 14,15, 20:6

Taking it a step further we are commanded, repeat commanded to pray without ceasing 1 Thessalonians 5:17 KJB.
THEREFORE
There is a key word we must take into consideration with 1 Timothy 2:1KJB which is the word: “THEREFORE…”
“Therefore” is a conjunctive adverb used to show the CAUSE and EFFECT repeat CAUSE and EFFECT between 2 independent clauses. Note that the power of the conjunctive adverb is that it is both “the tool” to connect two phrases -they are related and to modify the two phrases as "here is the Cause,” “here is the EFFECT.”

I present that we have a terrible dilemma here. A most terrible burden is placed on us to truly understand this scripture. God requires we 'study' his word to be approved 2 Timothy 2:15 KJB. By the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, I have a study on what the word 'study' really entails, and it is digging and hard work. But when we truly understand what Paul is saying here in 1 Timothy 2:1 KJB beyond the superficial understanding, we see precisely why and how Paul delivered Hymenaeus and Alexander unto Satan that they may learn not to blaspheme. One cannot read 1 Timothy 2:1 by isolating it out of the context of 1 Timothy Chapter 1 and 2. First note, Paul does not command this as doctrine but an exhortation to emulate him and why and the purpose is ultimately in our future roles as Kings and Priests of God - which Rodney hates by the way - which will be in my upcoming study. But the steel trap of 1 Timothy 2:1 is that terrifying word, "THEREFORE"... which we know is a conjunctive adverb with the purpose of showing the cause and effect of 1 Timothy 1:20 (poor Hymenaeus and Alexander) into the action of Paul's prayer to God for them in 1 Timothy 2:1. Which brings my prayers for Rodney to attention. Frankly speaking I finished asking God to open Rodney Beaulieu's eyes after he came out with his Universalism blasphemy of God's word. And although I am not at liberty to share my prayers for Rodney that I supplicated unto the Lord, please know it was not the flowery, Laodicean church prayer. I will leave it at that. Whether we agree or not, Rodney has been turned over to a REPROBATE MIND. NO true man of God would utter the things he speaks. And each time he double downs, he is filling himself up as a vessel of God's wrath. Romans 1:18-32.
Notes
Matthew Henry Commentary on 1 Timothy 2:1
Matthew Henry Commentary on 1 Timothy 2:1
Paul does not send him any prescribed form of prayer, as we have reason to think he would if he had intended that ministers should be tied to that way of praying; but, in general, that they should make supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks: supplications for the averting of evil, prayers for the obtaining of good, intercessions for others, and thanksgivings for mercies already received. Paul thought it enough to give them general heads; they, having the scripture to direct them in prayer and the Spirit of prayer poured out upon them, needed not any further directions. Observe, The design of the Christian religion is to promote prayer; and the disciples of Christ must be praying people. Pray always with all prayer, Eph 6 18. There must be prayers for ourselves in the first place; this is implied here. We must also pray for all men, for the world of mankind in general, for particular persons who need or desire our prayers. See how far the Christian religion was from being a sect, when it taught men this diffusive charity, to pray, not only for those of their own way, but for all men. Pray for kings (v. 2); though the kings at this time were heathens, enemies to Christianity, and persecutors of Christians, yet they must pray for them, because it is for the public good that there should be civil government, and proper persons entrusted with the administration of it, for whom therefore we ought to pray, yea, though we ourselves suffer under them.
