Even so called Christian websites like GotQuestions (Matt Slick at CARM) gets it wrong as he often does. Note: Be careful using GotQuestions. Often he will write the truth but he continually uses perverted translations and will often lead you astray.  No wonder he is the leading online resource.

Let us set the record straight:

The Rooster is NOT a biblical symbol of the return of light after a night-time. It is however, a very prophetic symbol of denying Christ before the Cock Crows.

King James Bible used only 11 times G220 in the Gospels referring to Peter Denying Jesus Christ*

The perverted Bibles use the word Rooster as in Job and Proverbs*. 

However, these uses do not mean Rooster but rather:

* H7907 - Job understanding to the HEART = Dubious Mind a walled hedge  (no coincidence here)

* H4975 - Proverbs = An unknown animal - Greyhound. Loins slender side greyhound

“Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, That this night, before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.”

Mark 14:72

“And the second time the cock crew. And Peter called to mind the word that Jesus said unto him, Before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice. And when he thought thereon, he wept.”

The book of Mark writes of the second crowing. This is a significant mention since this is the pivotal point that exposes Peter's DENIAL.

We think it NOT a coincidence that before the Rooster is raised again (2nd Crow) on the steeple of Notre Dame (Our Lady in English) the LAODICEAN Church has universally denied Jesus Christ by preaching another Gospel by worshipping another Christ.
