Correction to my 2021 Teaching of Day of Christ

 

Original Post in 2021 on 2 Thessalonians 2:2,3 KJV whereby I claimed Day of Christ was one event - The RAPTURE, which it is in part - instead of the FULL correct understanding that this DAY (period of time) spans the event of the RAPTURE - Catching Up of the Saints - the BEMA Judgement - which is an interlude during which time - The Tribulation on Earth -  to the COMPLETE culmination to the Second Coming when we return with him.   Ultimately 2 Thessalonians 2:2, 3 KJV 'that day' is specifically referring to the SECOND ADVENT.


When Paul refers to The DAY of CHRIST in 2 Thessalonians 2:2 kjv hE is referring to a period of time (DAY  in the Oxford English dictionary page 650 as a period of time which something takes place) beginning with the RAPTURE - CATCHING AWAY of the Saints before the Tribulation and includes our period of time with Jesus Christ to receive our rewards at the Judgment Seat of Jesus BEMA Judgment and "ultimately" is fulfilled at the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

  • Left pole: we go to Him.
  • Middle: we are confirmed, examined, rewarded.
  • Right pole: He comes back with us; that day is manifested as complete.
This fulfills the completion of the following: Gathering / catching up — Day of Christ begins with the RAPTURE Catching UP of the Saints - Bema — saints rewarded in His presence and DURING THIS TIME - 7 YEAR TIMEFRAME -
Man of sin revealed on earth — Day of the Lord /  7 year tribulation interval - 

and is finalized when the Lord is revealed from heaven with His saints and angels — Day of Christ consummated; man of sin destroyed.

It takes several scriptures in context to fully understand this.  This requires a deep systematic reading and not just cherry picking one scripture alone.

Since my orignial study back in 2021 which I have gone back and corrected



I had mistakenly placed it all in one event - the Rapture, but each time I carefully studied 2 Thessalonians 2:2,3  KJV, I couldn't help but ask why are we seeing the Second Advent in 2 Thessalonians Chapter One verses 7 through 10?
