2 Corinthians 4:4

“In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.”King James Version (KJV)

John 18:36

“Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.”King James Version (KJV)

The city Council meeting in Iowa that went viral because there was a satanic prayer held there just had another satanic prayer at the city council meeting. But this time a Christian interrupts their prayer with a prayer to Jesus Christ. I wanna show you guys this situation plus some other situations that prove that there are some real spiritual warfare happening, and we as Christians need to be prepared and in our Word for what’s happening today.

Response Outline: "Satanic Prayer Happened Again" — Ordained of Men, Not Anointed of God

This is my review and response to Aaron Paige in his video above. All scripture is KJV. I carefully examined the video transcript and made audio notes with AI using my 7 Blogs posted below. I asked AI to focus and stay within the boundry of my Blogs and the KJV to produce the below OUTLINE. I also focused on the word study on ordain and anoint and Liberty vs Freedom in my Blogs below. This narrowed the study into a tight lens that mathes scripture in the context of a CASE STUDY for Christians to understand and learn from.

Why these Headline scriptures

"In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them." (2 Corinthians 4:4 KJV)

"Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence." (John 18:36 KJV)

  • We must KNOW and then UNDERSTAND (reminder: our spirit knows and our mind (soul) understands) DOCTRINE and practice doctrine to STRIVE LAWFULLY in this FALLEN WORLD THAT IS OWNED AND OPERATED BY SATAN and not lose sight of our TRUE HOME and our purpose here.

The video being answered

  • Title: "Satanic Prayer Happened Again", posted on YouTube by Aaron Paige (he spells it Paige at the close of the video).
  • What happens (with timestamps):
    • 1:03 — A Satanic Temple member gives the invocation at an Iowa city council meeting, calling himself "an advocate for religious liberty, free expression, and pluralism." He closes with "Hail Satan." My observation is this "satanist" definitely understand the US Constitution and he understands the word LIBERTY and the license to use it by his "god" Satan.
    • 2:46 — A man answers by praying the Lord's Prayer aloud "in Jesus' name," then says "God bless this chamber."
    • 5:28 — A news clip: the ACLU of Iowa has sued the state for the Satanic Temple, claiming free speech, religious freedom and equal protection after it was refused a holiday event at the Capitol.
    • 9:01 — Paige reads comments supporting the Temple and separation of church and state.
    • 11:27 — Paige reads John 15 (from a modern version).
    • 14:59 — Paige asks viewers to pray that leaders "enact laws that would protect Christians" in "this godless country."

I. Introduction: Where Paige Is Right, and Where He Goes Wrong

  • Give credit where credit is due. He is right that this is spiritual warfare: "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." (Ephesians 6:12)
  • He is right that the world hates the disciples. Read it in the KJV: "If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you." (John 15:18–19)
  • He is right that the Temple's message is the serpent's: "ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil." (Genesis 3:5) This is the blinding of 2 Corinthians 4:4 at work: "the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not."
  • Where he goes wrong: he expects the government of the United States to take God's side, restrain the Satanists and pass laws to protect Christians. That expectation rests on an unspoken belief that our Constitution is ordained and anointed of God. It is not.
As I have repeated over and over again if we study and understand 2 Corinthians 4:4 KJV (Satan is the "god" of this world) we understand that all political, economic, and religious systems are under the control and operation of Satan.
  • Thesis: The Constitution was ordained by men, never anointed by God. It is doing exactly what its human authors ordained it to do, and a Christian's liberty is in Christ, not in Washington.  This is the resounding message of my blogs.

II. Word Study: ORDAIN

English etymology. From Middle English ordeinen, through Old French ordener, from Latin ordinare, "to set in order, arrange, appoint," built on ordo (row, rank, order). To ordain is first of all to put something in its order and rank.

Oxford English Dictionary (paraphrased; confirm the wording in your OED). The main senses run: to arrange or set in order; to appoint someone to an office or charge, especially to admit to holy orders; and to decree, enact or establish by authority, as a law or institution. That last sense, to enact by authority, is the one the Founders used.

The Constitution names its own ordainer. The Preamble ends: "We the People of the United States ... do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America." The document never claims that God ordained it. It says plainly that the People did.

How the King James Bible uses "ordain":

What the study shows:

  • In scripture, to ordain is to appoint, set in order, or establish. Both God and men ordain, so the word alone tells us nothing until we ask who did the ordaining. For the Constitution the answer is written in its first sentence: "We the People."
  • Note Psalm 132:17 and Titus 1:5: ordain sits right beside "set in order." Ordaining is arranging, not making holy.
  • Tie-in to Paige's own text: he read John 15, but missed verse 16. Christ ordains His disciples to bear fruit. He never ordained a nation's charter to protect them.
Paige is not striving lawfully by using corrupted bible translation and by praying what God's word does not say and not studying to show himself approved.  2 Timothy 2:15 KJV.

Anticipated objection: Romans 13:1, "the powers that be are ordained of God."

  •  appoint, determine, ordain, set.The word is tasso: God assigns civil authority its place in the order of things, "for he is the minister of God to thee for good" (Romans 13:4).
  • Paul wrote this under Nero's Rome. If Romans 13 made a government's charter God's own document, it made Rome's laws God's laws too. It ordains the office of civil authority, not the content of any human law.
  • Peter names the laws themselves for what they are: "Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake." (1 Peter 2:13) "Ordinance" there is ktisis (G2937), a thing created or instituted, and Peter calls it of man (anthropinos, G442). The KJV itself calls civil law a human ordinance.
  • And when men's ordinances cross God's: "We ought to obey God rather than men." (Acts 5:29)

III. Word Study: ANOINT

English etymology. From Old French enoint, the past participle of enoindre, from Latin inunguere: in (upon) + unguere (to smear with oil). The same root gives us unguent and unction.

Oxford English Dictionary (paraphrased; confirm in your OED). To smear or rub with oil or ointment; to apply oil as a religious rite, especially to consecrate someone to a sacred office such as king or priest; and figuratively, to set apart or endue with divine grace.

Original words:

  • mashach (H4886): to smear, to anoint. It gives mashiach (H4899), "anointed," which is Messiah.
  • chrio (G5548): to anoint, used in the New Testament only of God anointing, chiefly of Christ. "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor." (Luke 4:18) "How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power." (Acts 10:38) It gives Christos (G5547), Christ, the Anointed One.
  • aleipho (G218): ordinary rubbing with oil. "But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face." (Matthew 6:17) Also James 5:14.
  • chrisma (G5545): the anointing itself. "But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things." (1 John 2:20; see also 2:27)

What anointing does in scripture: it sets apart as holy, for God's service, at God's command.

  • Things: "And thou shalt take the anointing oil, and anoint the tabernacle, and all that is therein, and shall hallow it, and all the vessels thereof: and it shall be holy." (Exodus 40:9)
  • Priests: "and shalt anoint them, and consecrate them, and sanctify them, that they may minister unto me in the priest's office." (Exodus 28:41)
  • Kings: "Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the LORD came upon David from that day forward." (1 Samuel 16:13)
  • God guards what He anoints: "Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm." (Psalm 105:15)

Ordained vs. anointed, the key distinction:

  • To ordain is to appoint or set in order. Men can do it, and the People did it in 1787.
  • To anoint is to consecrate as holy by God's command. Only God does it, and scripture always tells us when He has.
  • Even Romans 13 says the powers are ordained, never anointed. No verse anoints a nation's founding document. The one the nations rage against is "the LORD, and ... his anointed" (Psalm 2:2), and that Anointed is Christ.

Clarification on anointed:  Cyrus, a pagan king, is called God's anointed (Isaiah 45:1).

  • True, and God named him by prophecy, saying "I have surnamed thee, though thou hast not known me." (Isaiah 45:4)
  • That was a person, named in scripture, for a purpose God declared beforehand. Where is the verse naming the U.S. Constitution? Without God's word saying so, calling it anointed is adding to scripture.

IV. What the Constitution Actually Says

  • Preamble: ordained and established by "We the People."
  • First Amendment: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof." It protects the free exercise of any religion. It does not favor Christianity.
  • Article VI: "no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States."
  • Apart from the customary date "in the Year of our Lord" at the signing, the Constitution never invokes God's authority.
  • Optional historical exhibit: Article 11 of the Treaty of Tripoli (1797), ratified unanimously by the Senate, states that the government of the United States "is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion."
  • The point for Paige: the ACLU lawsuit (5:28) rests on the same free speech, religious freedom and equal protection that Christians claim. The law is doing exactly what men ordained it to do. Cite Post #1: if God had ordained it, it would not give false gods equal standing. "Thou shalt have no other gods before me." (Exodus 20:3)

Note: "endowed by their Creator."

  • That line is in the Declaration of Independence (1776), not the Constitution, and the Declaration is not law.
  • It speaks of a general "Creator," not the LORD Jesus Christ revealed in scripture.
Note:  The founding fathers - most of them - were not saved. Thomas Jefferson - primary author of the Declaration of Independence who spoke of the Creator believed in  DEISM and "Theistic Rationalism" as well as Washington and others like Franklin who were atheists.

V. God Gives Choice, but Man Is Not His Own Master

  • Correct the record: in the transcript, the Temple speaker did not call it a God-given right. He spoke of a "fundamental right" and said "each is their own master of their fate" (2:11).
  • God does give every man a choice: "I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live." (Deuteronomy 30:19) "Choose you this day whom ye will serve ... but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD." (Joshua 24:15)
  • But no man is master of his fate: "O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps." (Jeremiah 10:23) "A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps." (Proverbs 16:9)
  • Permission is not endorsement. God permits the choice, but He does not approve of serving Satan, and the choice has consequences: "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23)

VI. Freedom vs. Liberty: My Bible Lesson to Charlie Kirk

  • Everyone in this story claims the same word. The Temple speaker said, "Our liberties we prize" (2:26). Christians in the comments cry "freedom." Charlie Kirk quoted 2 Corinthians 3:17 from a modern version as "there is freedom." The KJV says liberty, and the difference is not small. Cite Post #4 (July 2025) and Post #5 (October 2025).
  • The KJV text: "Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty." (2 Corinthians 3:17) "That Spirit" points back to the Spirit who "giveth life" (2 Corinthians 3:6) and removes the vail from the heart when it turns to the Lord (verses 15–16). Modern versions change it to "the Spirit" and "freedom."
  • Liberty defined (from Post #4). From Latin liber, free. Your OED reference (page 1613) defines liberty as a privilege or exceptional right granted to a subject by the sovereign power. Liberty is therefore a license: authority given by the Sovereign to do what would otherwise be unlawful. Through the faith of Jesus Christ, the believer is granted authority not to be under the bondage of the law.
  • Greek: eleutheria (G1657) is translated "liberty" in all 11 of its KJV occurrences: Romans 8:21; 1 Corinthians 10:29; 2 Corinthians 3:17; Galatians 2:4; 5:1; 5:13 (twice); James 1:25; 2:12; 1 Peter 2:16; and 2 Peter 2:19. Note: the list in Post #4 shows 10; 2 Peter 2:19 is the 11th, and it fits this video perfectly (see below).
  • Where the KJV uses "freedom" — only twice, and never for the believer's liberty in Christ:
    • Leviticus 19:20, "not at all redeemed, nor freedom given her": chuphshah (H2668), manumission, a slave's legal release.
    • Acts 22:28, "With a great sum obtained I this freedom. And Paul said, But I was free born": politeia (G4174), citizenship and civic rights in the Roman state.
  • The key point for this video: what the First Amendment gives is politeia, civic rights in a commonwealth, the very "freedom" the chief captain bought with a great sum. That is what the Satanic Temple is suing for, and what the Christians in the comments are defending. It is a civil status of men, not the liberty of the Spirit.
  • The Temple's "liberty" exposed: "While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage." (2 Peter 2:19) Same Greek word, eleutheria: a counterfeit liberty that ends in bondage.
  • True liberty is a yoke, not self-will: "Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage." (Galatians 5:1) "For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another." (Galatians 5:13) "Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me ... For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." (Matthew 11:29–30)
  • The Liberty Bell (from Post #5): America's own bell carries Leviticus 25:10, "proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof" (deror, H1865, release, the Jubilee). Even America's symbol borrowed the word liberty from scripture, and the Bell is cracked. The true Jubilee is still to come in Christ's kingdom.
  • Cite Post #2, "Give me Liberty": "I am dead in Christ and I have perfect liberty."

VII. Strive Lawfully: The Victor's Garland, Not the King's Diadem

From Post #6, "The Corollary Garland." Liberty in Christ is the license to run; striving lawfully is running by His rules. Everyone in this video is striving. The question is by whose law, and for which crown.

"And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully." (2 Timothy 2:5 KJV)

"And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible." (1 Corinthians 9:25 KJV)

English etymology (paraphrased; confirm in your OED).

  • Strive: Middle English, from Old French estriver, to quarrel, contend, struggle. OED: to contend in rivalry, to struggle or exert oneself toward a goal.
  • Lawful: from law (Old English lagu, from Old Norse, "that which is laid down") + -ful. OED: according to or permitted by law or the rules; legitimate.
  • Mastery: Old French maistrie, from Latin magister, master. To strive for masteries is to contend for the victory.
  • Corollary (from Post #6): Latin corollarium, money paid for a garland, from corolla, little garland, diminutive of corona, crown. The bonus truth and the crown share one family.

2 Timothy 2:24

to fight, quarrel, wrangle

Application 1: Liberty is not lawlessness.

  • The Temple speaker's creed, "each is their own master of their fate" (2:11), is striving by one's own rules. Scripture's verdict: "yet is he not crowned."
  • "As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God." (1 Peter 2:16) Liberty (eleutheria) is the Sovereign's license; striving lawfully is using it by His rules.

Application 2: The Christian nationalist strives for the wrong crown.

  • The diadema is the king's crown of earthly rule. The believer is never promised one in this age; he is offered the stephanos, the victor's garland, at the judgment seat of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:10).
  • Political victory, laws that protect Christians, a nation won for Christ: these are corruptible crowns. "Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible."
  • "Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier." (2 Timothy 2:3–4) Same chapter as "strive lawfully." Tie back to the headline: "if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight." (John 18:36)
  • Same chapter again: "And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient." (2 Timothy 2:24) The KJV uses one English word for two Greek words: strive as an athlete (athleo), yes; strive as a quarreller (machomai), no. A shouting match at a city council is the wrong kind of striving.

Application 3: The garland can be lost.

  • "Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown." (Revelation 3:11)
  • The Song of Moses is the ensample: a redeemed generation fell short of the inheritance. "Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come." (1 Corinthians 10:11)

VIII. Correcting Paige's Prayer: Christian Nationalism

  • Paige is right to pray for our leaders: "For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty." (1 Timothy 2:2)
  • But he asks for laws to protect Christians in "this godless country." He calls the nation godless, yet expects it to act as God's nation. That is confusing the nation with the Kingdom.
  • Return to the headline verse, John 18:36: "if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight ... but now is my kingdom not from hence." Christ's servants do not fight city councils for an earthly kingdom.
  • Persecution is not a sign the laws have failed. It is what Christ promised: "Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution." (2 Timothy 3:12)
  • Cite Post #3: the push to make America a Christian nation through political power is kingdom building, and not for Christ.

IX.  Conclusion and Call to Action

  • The Constitution was ordained by men and never anointed by God. Don't be outraged when it does what men ordained it to do. Speak out against EVIL and EXPOSE it but to preach and teach the Government must be a certain way and the people must make this a Christian only Nation  is beyond the scope of scripture and is DOMINION THEOLOGY.
  • There is only one Anointed, and His kingdom is not of this world. Strive lawfully, by His rules, for the incorruptible crown, not the corruptible one.
  • Answer darkness with the gospel, not with political anger. STRIVE LAWFULLY
