Why did God refer to himself as "US" in Genesis 1:26? My response
Discussing Jesus Space on Quora: Question?
"God" created the heavens and earth, but God referred to himself as " US" in Genesis. If Jesus is also one of the creators, then shouldn't it be that he's also God and they are one? If not, then why does it say in the Bible that the Lord is One?
My response:
Since Jesus Christ created all things including man Colossians 1:16-19 KJV, John 1, Genesis 1:26,26 Genesis 2:7 KJV We clearly see We are created comprised as Jesus Christ. This is the reason Genesis 1:26 is in 1st person plural. The GODHEAD is Jesus Christ in BODY. There are not 3 Gods in 1. Three separate God's existing as 1 is pagan polytheism derived by the stoic philosopher Tertulian in 2CE. The 1st century church never used Trinity. Godhead is Biblical. Trinity is not. Godhead is Jesus Christ the visible image of God and within Jesus is the fullness of the Godhead bodily. 3 parts Jesus in body person, within him dwells the omnipresent nature of The FATHER who is Spirit and that of God and of Christ is called Holy i.e. The Holy Spirit Romans 8:9, Ephesians 2:18, Galatians 4:6, Philippians 1:19 KJV.
