Beware of Joshua Chavez the so-called steward of Servus Christi The Blind leading the Blind

Warning:  Joshua Chavez the man with the Dove tattooed on his neck, who does a wonderful job exposing so many charlatans and false teachers IS HIMSELF a wicked false teacher, a teacher of doctrine of demons.

I've applauded Joshua's many works of exposing false teachers, but he then followed and promoted Jacob Prasch a messed-up in his theology and eschatology and frankly a fraud.  I researched Joshua further and found he teaches a Christian can't lose their salvation BUT they actually can. In the most painful read I've ever encountered of double talk, mixed dispensations, out of context garbage, Joshua leaves the reader to really think they can lose their salvation. He also skirts around the issue of salvation and when you look carefully at his teachings, he is a dyed in the wool proponent of Lordship Salvation; i.e., a false teaching that one must do more than believe and trust in the finished work of the cross, but one must ALSO surrender every area of his life to the complete control of Christ.  I've seen this so many times from other false teachers who speak out of both sides of their mouth.  They will speak GRACE and BELIEVE ONLY, but then add leaven with additional words to confuse and mislead the reader into thinking they must DO MORE than just believe.

The simple Gospel of GRACE is BELIEVE ONLY that Jesus Christ came and DIED on the Cross for your sins, He was buried and Rose again on the 3rd day.  1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV.  This is ALL.   Ephesians 2:8,9 KJV Emphasizes this: FAITH ALONE and NOT WORKS.

Can We Lose Salvation As Christians? | Servus Christi

Joshua's Eschatology is sadly confused.  He actually throws out solid Bible evidence of the Pre-Tribulation Rapture and tells his followers that we're not going to be removed from the Time of Jacob's trouble - the Tribulation.

  1. What does belief look like practically? Faith without works is dead as James said. This does not mean that we must work to 'earn' salvation, but our salvation will be evident by the fruits produced by the power of the Holy Spirit indwelling us. We will do the works that God prepared for us in advance - not by our own power but His. The fruits of the Holy Spirit will reflect a surrender of every aspect of our lives to Christ. We cannot hold anything back because we are His. He purchased us at a price and we are no longer our own. We are slaves to righteousness, new creations with new desires and our life in every aspect will reflect this re-birth. If we do and act and remain as we were before we were separated in Christ, living as if we are of the world, still in our sins, then how can we claim to be born again? It is true that believing in Christ is all we must do to be saved, but that belief must be evident in our thoughts, our speech, our day to day choices and actions. Trusting in Jesus, in the completed work of Christ alone for our salvation will be outwardly visible and inwardly received. By grace (the unmerited gift of God) we are saved, absolutely. If we believe this then we will be grateful and we will live accordingly. We can't DO any work to be saved, but there are things we are NOT to practice in order to be saved. Repentance in agreement with God that we are guilty of sin while turning away from those sins is required for salvation while trusting in Christ as Lord and Savior of our souls. This is all a result of belief. Paul said, "As 'were' some of you" in reference to people who practice sins. The fruits of the Spirit vs. the fruits of the flesh are evidences of belief and our salvation or the lack thereof.

    As for the Pre-tribulation rapture:

Jesus said in Matthew 24:21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be.

    And 5 verses later said:

29 “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

(Great Tribulation - none like it before and none like it after does not allow for another Great Tribulation after the gathering the elect after the last trumpet, unless one thinks Jesus is wrong. Either fallible humans are wrong in their eschatological interpretations, or Jesus is wrong. I believe Jesus is always right.)

    1. Thank you for taking the time to comment. Your comment: "We can't DO any work to be saved, but there are things we are NOT to practice in order to be saved.." is found nowhere in the Gospel of GRACE. Your ESCHATOLOGY is referring precisely to the Tribulation and like all your kind, you've thrown out all of Paul’s gospel which is clearly pretribulation Rapture. You're mixing the Kingdom Dispensation with the age of GRACE.

  2. Joshua Chavez should be ashamed of himself. Paul speaks out on his type of behavior. Joshua Chavez is a divider. He is not fit to wear Justin a Peters' sandals. The Lord Rebukes Joshua Chavez. He open his mouth and death speaks. He is a modern day Pharisee. He may think he is Spirit filled, but his spirit is of the Devil.

    1. Anonymous I agree with your assessment of Joshua Chavez being a modern-day Pharisee. However, you need to take a hard look at Justin Peters. Although Justin is very sound in much of his doctrine, his defense of John MacArthur proves that ultimately Justin is another dyed in the wool man of RELIGION and hence is also a modern-day Pharisee.

  3. Hello,
You mentioned 'The simple Gospel of GRACE is BELIEVE ONLY that Jesus Christ came and DIED on the Cross for your sins, He was buried and Rose again on the 3rd day. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV. This is ALL. Ephesians 2:8,9 KJV Emphasizes this: FAITH ALONE and NOT WORKS.'
You are partly correct, and many people leave out that Jesus came to Earth to also 'Preach the Gospel of the Kingdom of God and End-Time Prophesies.'
    This is truly important.
Telling people a selected part of the gospel dilutes the full strength and truth of the gospel.
Jesus directed his believers to preach about the Kingdom of God. Jesus came 'preaching the gospel of the Kingdom of God.' (Mark 1:14) and said, 'for this purpose I have been sent.' (Luke 4:43) And after teaching his disciples, 'He sent them to preach the kingdom of God.' (Luke 9:2).
It's shameful that people think that Jesus only came to be sacrificed, and they miss out on why he came.

  4. Let's examine - carefully - what you're stating here Anonymous. 1. You're agreeing that the GOSPEL is what I've taught. Then you are saying there's another gospel. Yes, there is, BUT the Gospel of the KINGDOM is NOT the Gospel of GRACE. You failed to mention Paul's warning: IF ANYONE PREACHES ANOTHER GOSPEL OTHER THAN WE'VE PREACHED LET "HIM" BE ACCURSED. Galatians 1:8,9 KJB. It's obvious you have NOT read or studied this Blog. I'm not going to repeat the purpose of the Kingdom Gospel go back and read.
