The Psalm 83 War as well as the destruction of Damascus happen well after the Rapture of the Church. This will either happen at the second seal judgment the RED HORSE or most likely at the 2nd Advent - The Second Coming - when Israel is completely under the leadership and acknowledgement of Jesus Christ as their Messiah will these events take place.  This matches precisely with Revelation 19 and Ezekiel 39 and in the language and perfect context with all scripture referring to the Day of The Lord. 

For years there's been immense hype - mostly by charlatans to sell their books - trying to tell us of the imminent destruction of Damascus and the Psalms 83 war was at the doorstep. 

Make no mistake however we are at the end of this age and these prophetic events are near. However, these things will happen after the Tribulation. 

BACKGROUND

For years now I have stood against the many false and ill-informed bible teachers and some noted bible scholars like Dr. ICE who think the Ezekiel 38,39 wars will be BEFORE the Rapture of the Church. 

I have done an extensive study on Babylon in end times, and this may shed some light on why so many think Israel will be protected by a massive attack from Russia.

Regarding Ezekiel 38 and 39 WARS.

These are 2 very distinct wars that happen 1,000 years apart - well after the Rapture of the Church. 

These 2 separate wars begin in REVERSE ORDER as follows:  

 EZEKIEL 39 - Revelation 19 is the BATTLE OF ARMAGEDDON which begins at the END OF TRIBULATION. 

EZEKIEL 38 - Revelation 20 is the Massive Uprising after Satan has been released from the bottomless pit - which follows the 1,000-year reign of Christ from Jerusalem.

Note:  We know clearly that Gog and Magog are Russia:  Gog is a person - NOT AN EVIL SPIRIT - who rules over Magog. Magog means the Prince of Rosh which is the root word for the Land of Russia.  Even further evidence is given in Ez 38:15 where God declares Gog and Magog will come from their place in the "expanse" (parts), KING JAMES BIBLE, of the north. Bottom Line:  Just as the two Ezekiel 38 and 39 Wars - The Destruction of Damascus and The Psalm 83 War will take place after the Tribulation and be a completion of the answer to prayer of Psalm 83 in Ezekiel 39 - Revelation 19.

If you do your homework, you will hopefully see this.  Here are a few notes to assist you.

It should be noted there are studies which show the Psalm 83 War has already taken place in the 6-day war of June 1967. 

 This could fit since the same countries mentioned in Psalm 83 all joined in an alliance to utterly destroy Israel in one massive attack.  The language used by the Arab Coalition eerily matched the wording of Psalm 83.  Here's a great study on this correlation.

There are however glaring arguments against this already taking place.  First, the destruction that takes place on the enemies of Israel in Psalms 83 verses 13 and 14 are devastating. We all know that Egypt and Syria were not obliterated - especially with fire in a sense of divine judgment from God's hand directly. Also, in 1967 Israel was not a complete country which Psalm 83 declares in verse 12, the houses of God means "all-inclusive Israel" this would be beyond Judah. Prior to the Six- Day war, Israel, especially Jerusalem wasn't part of Israel. 

Additionally, using proper Bible Hermeneutics we must compare scripture with scripture and allow scripture to interpret scripture instead of trying to fit scripture into our own private interpretation - notwithstanding how enticing and exciting it may be. Notwithstanding how many sensational books it might sell. The language of "In That Day" Isaiah 17:4, is used in context and throughout scriptures in Zechariah 9, 12, Isaiah chapters 13 and 34, Jeremiah chapters 30 and 40, Joel 2, Matthew chapters 7 and 24 among many as "The Day of The Lord" which means the Time of Jacob's Trouble - The Tribulation. 

I too once believed in various scenarios speculating Israel would nuke its enemies right before the Rapture. But as I've often stated in my testimony, I was delivered out of the NAR, Evangelical Zionist movement. 

 Note: There's also a lot of hype over Israel nuking its enemies immediately after the Rapture. Again, this doesn't fit with scripture that matches the second advent of Jesus which takes place at the Battle of Armageddon. 

However, when you study scripture carefully and allow scripture to interpret scripture it becomes evident these events come when Jesus returns to earth with the saints during the battle of Armageddon. 

Following the Rapture, the Antichrist will enter the world stage to promote peace and safety and confirm a PEACE Covenant with Israel in the midst the horrific chain of supernatural cataclysmic events of war, famine, pestilence, massive earthquakes and destruction.  The SEAL Judgements of Revelation 6-8. 

The Antichrist will break this peace agreement and desecrate the Jewish Temple spoken of in Daniel 9:27, Matthew 24, Luke 21, Revelation 13. 

This is when the slaughter of Jews who are remaining and are not the 1/3 remnant protected by God will take place.  Jeremiah 44:28, Zechariah 13:9, Hosea 10:1-2, Romans 9:24-27. Revelation 13.

At the end of the time of Jacob's Trouble Jesus Christ will return with the Saints and wipe out his enemies and restore what belongs to God and promised to Israel from the beginning.  Jeremiah 30:3, Joel 3:2, Zechariah 14:2, Ezekiel 39 - Revelation 19 (Armageddon), Isaiah 11:11-16, Zecharia 12:6-10; Genesis 15:18-21. 

 The Destruction of Damascus of Isaiah 17 will be a part of this.  Again, if you study Isaiah 17 carefully, you'll see that the destruction is beyond the current destruction we're witnessing today. Also note the state of Israel which is in a terrible state. This language perfectly fits all scripture referring to the day of the Lord known as the time of Jacob's Trouble.

  False Bible teachers always seem to leave this out for some reason. Regarding Damascus:  A ruinous heap literally means COMPLETE and TOTAL DESTRUCTION.  This is often confused with nuclear destruction.  Although this makes logical sense of the world wars taking place in Revelation 6 during the Tribulation, we see the expression in Isaiah 17:13 "Chased as the chaff of the mountains before the wind, and like a rolling thing before the whirlwind." This language is also used in Psalm 83.  whirl (of dust or chaff) Psalm 83:14; Isaiah 17:13, simile of foes put to flight by God. 

What false and misguided teachers fail to realize is that the destruction of Damascus of Isaiah 17, Psalm 83 are similar in that these events are supernatural judgments of God and not by actions by mankind's hand.
