God loves the Sinner is NOT Biblical

In this fallen world, the LAODICEAN CHURCH we are bombarded with apostate trained CEOs called pastors operating these brick-and-mortar 501C3 building operations called churches, including online teaching platforms, and teachers using their perverted Bible translations as they continually spew out LIES, especially how God loves the sinner.

A sinner is someone who is a worker of iniquity which is NOT to be confused with a repentant sinner who comes to Jesus Christ as their Savior. This study addresses those who practice sin and relish in it, who have been turned over to reprobate mind Romans 1:18-32 KJB. We always see John 3:16, but never get the complete picture.  I urge you right now to stop and read the Gospel of John chapter 3 verses 16 to the end of the chapter, verse 21.  It is very clear to even the most casual observer.

GOD DOES NOT LOVE THOSE WHO CHOOSE TO REJECT JESUS CHRIST AS THEIR SAVIOR.  Research the word condemn for yourself, it means in context, divine judgment, damned and sentenced as guilty.

But some are so spiritually blind they refuse to see this. John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Psalms 5:5

“The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.”

King James Version (KJV)

Other Psalms referring to final Judgment of the wicked Psalm 23, Psalm 1, Psalm 2, Psalm 110, etc. I urge you to read these carefully and compare with Psalm 139:22.

Romans 9:13

“As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.”

Contrary to false bible teachers, this says what it says and means precisely what it says. What is also not taught and understood is why Esau? What did he ever do to God?

All of the Pslam imprecatory prayers are Messianic and directly related to end times Judgment. During this dispensation we as Saints do NOT have the authority and calling to act out God's divine judgment, however scripture is most clear we will during the Second Advent and Millennial Reign.  In the meantime, our prayers give vengeance to the Lord to whom vengeance belongs, Romans 12:19  which says "Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.". This verse is also quoted from another verse in the KJV, Deuteronomy 32:35 and who is PERFECT in all His ways, whose ways are higher than our ways and his thoughts higher than our thoughts.

In the meantime we stay in prayer.  I have a perfect example, back in my teaching days, I was in my classroom when a teenage female student went into a rage because I refused to allow her to copy another student's work. The girl jumped up, got in my face and said she was going to put her size 9 boot up where the sun doesn't shine (words used of course were quite explicit and graphic).

I started shaking with anger and prayed under my breath.  The Holy Spirit silently told me this powerful thought: What this wicked child needs will come in the judgement, NOW you DO NOT HAVE the authority to deal with this in the manner it needs to be dealt with.  Calmly tell her thank you for your comment, now please take your seat."  My words quickly deescalated the situation, she smiled and sat down.

Another incident with a Lesbian who started crying and began yelling at me telling me she hated me because I said God does NOT condone homosexuality. Again, the Holy Spirit gave me the scripture in Romans 12:19 that vengeance is mine, I have no authority to deal with this beyond telling her what God's words says.

I pray that ultimately this study shows HOLY FEAR of a PERFECT and RIGHTEOUS GOD.  Jesus Christ is going to slaughter his enemies and we will be with him on His return from Heaven to earth in Revelation 19 in the battle of Armageddon. For this reason, the Saint has a perfect understanding of our role, our eternal role and destination and work with Jesus Christ to Reign with Him. Acts 14:22, 2 Timothy 2:12, Revelation 1:6, 5:10, 12:5 (Psalm 2), Revelation 19:14-15, Revelation 20:6.   See studies in notes.

In English Grammar when two nouns are joined by a preposition

unrighteousness of men

The first noun is “unrighteousness”. The second noun separated by the Preposition “of” is men.

The first noun is always who or what is identified as being connected to, part of and existing as in context of what is being examined.

Whenever we see two nouns as being in the context of the same and of same attributes the first noun becomes an adjective,i.e., describing the second noun. This is called an attributive noun.

“a noun that modifies another noun attributively. As a noun in grammar, "a word expressing an attribute,

(attribute (n.)

"quality ascribed to someone, distinguishing mark," especially an excellent or lofty one, late 14c., from Latin attributum "anything attributed," in grammar, "predicate," noun use of neuter of attributus, past participle of attribuere "assign, allot; ascribe, impute" (see attribute (v.)"to attribute, verb: ascribe, impute," from assimilated form of ad "to" (see ad-) + tribuere "assign, (alloted) give, bestow" (see tribute). Related: Attributed; attributing.

A noun denoting bearer of a quality or an attribute of a subject, in reference to the lexical morpheme from which it is derived.

Thus, we can see that Unrighteous Men who is being discussed here.

Why the Passive Voice of the King James Bible?

Note: The modern, perverse world hates the King James Bible and teach that passive voice and the King James Bible are outdated, archaic and no longer suitable in this modern world.

Very brief lesson in passive voice. The Passive Voice extensively uses the preposition of and the attributive noun. Why? The primary purpose of passive voice is to draw intense focus on the first noun that identifies and sets apart WHO God is talking about. This is NOT just any man, but UNRIGHTEOUS man.
Nouns used as adjectives

The English language functions with nouns used as adjectives with regularity. When this is the case, nouns used as adjectives have the purpose of modifying other nouns.
For example:

The man drives a race car.

Sheila is a history teacher.

My mother made a loaf of milk bread.

In all three sentences above, the main noun is at the conclusion of the sentence as the words, car, teacher, and bread. The words before these words, placing attributes to the nouns, are, on their own, nouns themselves.

However, when the words race, history, and milk occur before the nouns, they act to describe them. This means that they act as adjectives. In English, such nouns are “s“.

A new movie is going to be released by the end of the month.

The cake was made by the chef using a recipe of her own creation.

The cake was made by a group of talented bakers.

A GROUP of Bakers made the Cake

Proving my point, perverted Bibles and the apostate preachers and teachers who love their perverse ways, state this for Romans 1:18:

Romans 1:18 NIV The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness

King James Version (KJV)
Romans 1:18
“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;”

Unrighteousness standing before God without a mediator, the Savior.  Justification. Redemption.   The NIV Bible says that doing evil things, sinning.  Also suppress and holding are two completely opposite meanings.

At the judgment, believers will participate in condemning the guilty.

Various verses describe how believers will participate in the final judgment. For example, in 1 Corinthians 6:1-3, Paul said this to the Corinthians who were going to secular judges to get their disputes decided:

When any of you has a legal dispute with another, does he dare go to court before the unrighteous rather than before the saints? Or do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world is to be judged by you, are you not competent to settle trivial suits? Do you not know that we will judge angels? Why not ordinary matters!

Paul said that believers will eventually judge the world and angels. Revelation 20:4 may refer to believers who will participate in these judgments. It says, “Then I saw thrones and seated on them were those who had been given authority to judge.” Though it does not say who is sitting on the thrones, it most likely refers to believers. Likewise, in Matthew 19:28, Christ said this to his disciples: “… I tell you the truth: In the age when all things are renewed, when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.”

An imprecation is a curse that invokes misfortune upon someone. Imprecatory psalms are those in which the author imprecates; that is, he calls down calamity, destruction, and God’s anger and judgment on his enemies. This type of psalm is found throughout the book. The major imprecatory psalms are Psalm 5,10,17,35,58, 59,69, 70, 79,83, 109, 129, 137, 140. The following are a few examples of the imprecatory language gleaned from these psalms:

“Declare them guilty, O God! Let their intrigues be their downfall. Banish them for their many sins, for they have rebelled against you” (Psalm 5:10).

“Rise up, LORD, confront them, bring them down; with your sword rescue me from the wicked” (Psalm 17:13).

“Pour out your wrath on the nations that do not acknowledge you, on the kingdoms that do not call on your name; for they have devoured Jacob and devastated his homeland” (Psalm 79:6–7).

We need to distinguish between God’s primary (antecedent) and secondary (consequent) will, as Dr. J. T. Mueller explains in Christian Dogmatics (p. 253):

The distinction between voluntas antecedens (prima) and voluntas consequens (secunda) is Scriptural if it is understood in the sense of John 3,16-18: “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved. He that believeth on Him is not condemned; but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” It is indeed the gracious will of God that all men should believe in Christ and be saved by faith in Him (voluntas antecedens). However, if sinners reject the grace of God and maliciously refuse to believe in Christ, then it is God’s will that they should be damned, Mark 16, 15. 16. Thus the voluntas antecedens applies to all men, while the voluntas consequens applies to all who perish through their unbelief.

Here are some Scriptures against "God loves the sinner, but hates the sin":

Luke 13:1-5 KJV, particularly verses 3-5:

1 There were present at that season some that told him of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.

2 And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things?

3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

4 Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem?

5 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

===================================

Psalms 5:1-5, particularly verses 4-5, and Verse 6 - KJV:

1 Give ear to my words, O Lord, consider my meditation.

2 Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee will I pray.

3 My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

4 For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee.

5 The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.

6 Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: the Lord will abhor the bloody and deceitful man.

If I find more in the next few days, I'll let you know.

Many Christians use the cliché “Love the sinner; hate the sin.” This saying is not found in the Bible in so many words; however, Jude 1:22–23 contains a similar idea: “Be merciful to those who doubt; save others by snatching them from the fire; to others show mercy, mixed with fear—hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh.” According to this, our evangelism should be characterized by mercy for the sinner and a healthy hatred of sin and its effects."

Note: A Brother in Christ sent this comment to me regarding this Blog:

First of all, Brother, thank you for the truth that God does not love the unrepentant sinner, at least not as people commonly understand it. I wrote about three kinds of divine love back in 2020, based on what R.C. Sproul had written and said about it: https://keithpetersenblog.com/2020/07/29/three-types-of-divine-love/ Anyway, you are right on that the Lord does not love unrepentant sinners in any way that even comes close to salvation.

Second, I love the way you responded to those two students you mentioned. Amazingly, earlier this morning I read Proverbs 15, which includes this (verse 1): “A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.” That sounds exactly like what you did! I also love your quoting Jude verses 22-23.

Brother Keith, as always I appreciate you commentary. I especially appreciate you clarifying UNREPENTANT SIN. I thought this was clear in my Blog but it should be clearer. I will definitely read your Blog back in 2020. Thank you and to God be the glory for giving us wisdom in handling those difficult situations. When I read you love me quoting Jude 22,23, I thought, I didn’t use this scripture, but rather used in in the notes to show that even liberal, often errant in doctrine GOT QUESTIONS who uses the ESV knows that God does not love the SIN or the SINNER. Sadly, as you’re aware, 99% of these apostate so called churches do NOT teach this but lull people into believing God is a huge snuggle bunny who winks at sin. Now, regarding the ESV translation for Jude 22,23, I usually am meticulous about removing the perverted Bible reference links, but this one slipped by when my Brother in Christ Jon Lutz sent me the quote. I ass u me d we took out direct quotes of non KJB. I will go back and enter the King James Bible quote which is as follows: 22And of some have compassion, making a difference: 23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. If we compare with the ESV of GOT QUESTIONS: Jude 22,23 ESV: 2 And have mercy on those who doubt; 23 save others by snatching them out of the fire; to others show mercy with fear, hating even the garment[g] stained by the flesh. Jude 1:23 Greek chiton, a long garment worn under the cloak next to the skin. I have sincerely been studying this. The King James Bible does not directly imply doubt, but rather those who are struggling with sin. Verse 23 clearly, even in the ESV shows those who are unrepentant sinners, who the Holy Spirit places on our heart to pray for and witness to. I definitely remember a close friend I had witnessed to for years and even fasted in deep intercessory prayer. The young man continued in willful disobedience and stood firm on being an atheist. Of course to make matters worse, he is extremely wealthy and doesn’t need God in his lost perception. One morning while going through my usual gospel presentation, imploring him to come to the truth of Jesus Christ as his savior, the young man snapped and to my shock said, QUITE ADAMENTLY, “I have been listening to you for years and years now. You’re like my adapted father. I have always been polite and have listened, but NOW, PLEASE, PLEASE For the Love of God Please STOP PREACHING TO ME. I ask this out of respect. Thank you. It was on that exact day some 10 years or so ago, the Holy Spirit said, “STOP.” Although heartbreaking, it is not our job as you know to play God. Also speaking of Bible Translations, I was just about to post a Blog regarding a mangled doctrine given in the NIV and other modern translations. When I read your comment, Immediately I knew this was no coincidence. Amen! My forth coming Blog on Bible Translations matter, is titled: Another one of thousands of examples of errant doctrine in the modern bible translations.

Resume notes from GOT QUESTIONS: "We are to have compassion on sinners for whom Christ died, and we are also to keep ourselves “from being polluted by the world”—part of what constitutes “pure and faultless” religion (James 1:27). But we also realize that we are imperfect human beings and that the difference between us and God in regard to loving and hating is vast. Even as Christians, we cannot love perfectly, nor can we hate perfectly (i.e., without malice). But God can do both of these perfectly, because He is God. God can hate without any sinful intent. Therefore, He can hate the sin and the sinner in a perfectly holy way and still lovingly forgive the sinner at the moment of repentance and faith (Malachi 1:3; Revelation 2:6; 2 Peter 3:9).

The Bible clearly teaches that God is love. First John 4:8–9 says, “Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.” Mysterious but true is the fact that God can perfectly love and hate a person at the same time. This means He can love him as someone He created and can redeem, as well as hate him for his unbelief and sinful lifestyle. We, as imperfect human beings, cannot do this; thus, we must remind ourselves to “love the sinner; hate the sin.

How exactly does that work? We hate sin by recognizing it for what it is, refusing to take part in it, and condemning it as contrary to God’s nature. Sin is to be hated, not excused or taken lightly. We love sinners by showing them respect (1 Peter 2:17), praying for them (1 Timothy 2:1), and witnessing to them of Christ. It is a true act of love to treat someone with respect and kindness even though you do not approve of his or her lifestyle or sinful choices.

It is not loving to allow a person to remain stuck in sin. It is not hateful to tell a person he or she is in sin. In fact, the exact opposites are true. Sin leads to death (James 1:15), and we love the sinner by speaking the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15). We hate the sin by refusing to condone, ignore, or excuse it."  End Quote.

Matthew Henry's Concise Commentary

25:14-30 Christ keeps no servants to be idle: they have received their all from him, and have nothing they can call their own but sin. Our receiving from Christ is in order to our working for him. The manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. The day of account comes at last. We must all be reckoned with as to what good we have got to our own souls, and have done to others, by the advantages we have enjoyed. It is not meant that the improving of natural powers can entitle a man to Divine grace. It is the real Christian's liberty and privilege to be employed as his Redeemer's servant, in promoting his glory, and the good of his people: the love of Christ constrains him to live no longer to himself, but to Him that died for him, and rose again. Those who think it impossible to please God, and in vain to serve him, will do nothing to purpose in religion. They complain that He requires of them more than they are capable of, and punishes them for what they cannot help. Whatever they may pretend, the fact is, they dislike the character and work of the Lord. The slothful servant is sentenced to be deprived of his talent. This may be applied to the blessings of this life; but rather to the means of grace. Those who know not the day of their visitation, shall have the things that belong to their peace hid from their eyes. His doom is, to be cast into outer darkness. It is a usual way of expressing the miseries of the damned in hell. Here, as in what was said to the faithful servants, our Saviour goes out of the parable into the thing intended by it, and this serves as a key to the whole. Let us not envy sinners, or covet any of their perishing possessions.

–46. The Day of Judgment

32. all nations] Either (1) all the nations of the world, including the Jews; or (2) all the Gentiles. The almost invariable use of τὰ ἔθνη to signify the Gentiles; the unconsciousness of service to Christ shewn by just and unjust alike; the simplicity of the standard proposed by the Judge, favour the second interpretation. On the other hand the special warning to the Apostles, and to the Jewish race, in the previous parts of the discourse render it probable that Jews and Christians are not excluded from this picture of the judgment. The unconsciousness of the judged may be referred not to ignorance of Christ, but to unconsciousness that in relieving the distressed they were actually relieving Christ. The simplicity of the standard may be intended to include what is called “natural” religion, as well as revealed religion. The nations are judged by a standard of justice which all recognise. (Read Romans 1:18-20; Romans 2:9-16.)

as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats] “The sheep and goats are always seen together under the same shepherd and in company; yet they never trespass on the domain of each other.… When folded together at night they may always be seen gathered in distinct groups; and so, round the wells they appear instinctively to classify themselves apart, as they wait for the troughs to be filled.”—Tristram, Natural History of the Bible, pp. 89, 90. The goat was not in evil repute in the East, as contrasted with the sheep; on the contrary, the he-goat was a symbol of dignity, so that the point of analogy is merely the separation between the sheep and the goats.

though translated by Bengel, unprofitable, useless, is not to be confounded with ἄχρηστος, which more strictly expresses that meaning. A slave that has done all that his master commands is ἀχρεῖος, not in the sense that he is worthless, useless, which could not be said of such a servant, but he is one οὗ οὐκ ἔστι χρεία, a person to whom the master owes nothing, with whom he could dispense, Acts 17:25. God receives no benefit from man for which He owes a return, Luke 17:10. Here, in Matthew 25:30, though the servant had been also ἄχρηστος, unprofitable, useless, and slothful, yet the idea conveyed by the ἀχρεῖος is not this, but its consequence: for he who is useless by doing no work is not wanted (the latter expressing the true force of ἀχρεῖος:). The ἄχρηστος, besides being useless, causes also loss to his master. See Tittm. Syn. Gr. Test.—ED.

Cast ye the unprofitable servant into [the] outer darkness (Matthew 8:12). The parable merges into the real. The 'matter represented bursts through the veil under which it was delivered, and stands forth plainly and awfully. The command is issued to the ministers of the Lord's vengeance, whether earthly or angelic. The slave was truly unprofitable, as he advanced neither his master's interests nor his own, which were bound up with the other. While the faithful servants enter into the joy of the Lord, he is rejected from his presence, expelled from the kingdom of heaven, banished we know not whither. And why? Not for great ill doing, sacrilege, crime, offence against the common laws of God and man; but for neglect, idleness, omission of duty. This is a very fearful thought. Men endeavour to screen themselves from blame by minimizing their talents, ability, opportunities; this parable unveils the flimsiness of this pretence, shows that all have responsibilities, and are answerable for the use they make of the graces and faculties, be they never so small, which they possess. Spiritual indolence is as serious a sin as active wickedness, and meets with similar punishment, Our Lord's account of the last judgment terribly confirms this truth (vers. 42-45). There shall be [the] weeping and [the] gnashing of teeth (Matthew 24:51). "There," viz. in the outer darkness. The remembrance of lost opportunities, wasted graces, bartered privileges, will fill the mind of the banished with terrible remorse, and make existence a very hell; and what more shall be added? Some of the Fathers have recorded a gnomic saying derived from this parable, if not an utterance of our Lord himself, "Be ye approved bankers." Matthew 25:30

  1. This study on God loves the Sinner is NOT Biblical by Andrew Sheets is very well researched! It is very well written and extremely well documented Biblically. We both need to research this Biblical false teaching more in depth, so we can put our separate studies on this God loves the Sinner as totally unbiblical. And so our research and documentation will be irrefutable that this is a false and dangerous teaching!!
