That Holy Thing

From my Sister In Christ

Jesus Christ

made in the likeness of man, but not in human flesh

Philippians 2:7+8

Key words:

Luke1:35

"...that holy thing"

Leviticus 22:10

"...the holy thing"

"...shall no stranger eat"

Leviticus 22:11

"...they shall eat of his meat"

1Corinthians 11:24-28

context: Communion

Partaking of it worthily ( not as a stranger?)

the holy thing=meat

( Lev.22:10+11)

John 6:28-63

context: the bread of life and Salvation

John 6:51+53

Jesus flesh is the living bread from heaven

Manna in John 6:31 is a type of this Bread from heaven

This bread is the living Word made flesh come down from heaven ( as through the womb of Mary : " that holy thing" )

And whosoever reads and hears it is blessed ( Revelation 1:3 )

Genesis 18:2 and 19:1+5

clearly show that these 3 people appeared as men:

One was Jesus Christ Himself and his 2 companions were angels(Gen.19:1)

The sodomites saw these 2 angels as men ( Gen. 19:5 )

Jude 6 and 7

make reference to angels of Genesis 6:2 and Genesis 19:5

" going after strange flesh " (Jude 7 )

Strong's # 2087

"strange" = " different" , "other"

( i.e. different from or other than human)

They came from heaven, thus their flesh was not human, it was "strange", or " different".

Jesus' flesh was not only different from human flesh  but also HOLY

See Luke 1:35

"that holy thing"

Psalm 119:73+74

He placed Himself in the womb of Mary, where He made and fashioned Himself

"in the likeness of men", "being found in fashion AS a man" (emphasis mine).

Sidenote:

Should come as no surprise:

The NIV destroys that cross-reference

between Philippians 2:8 and Psalm 119:73

NIV

Psalm119:73

"Your hands made and formed me"

Philippians 2:8

"And being found in appearance as a man"

Just one more thought :

Jesus fashioned Himself a holy body (" that holy thing" ) in the womb of Mary, and this body grew (just like a human body would) up into an adult man's body, not of human flesh but  of holy flesh that came from heaven as the manna did.

Simple as that 🙂

Nothing complicated!

Thank you and

God bless you abundantly, dear Brother!!!

Sorry, forgot to put Philippians 2:7+8 between "(emphasis mine") and "Sidenote”

End Quote.

Here I write:

Revelation Chapter One Verse 8 (thethirdheaventraveler.com)

Hebrews 1:3 KJB

Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person,*** and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

(Note: express image of God meaning Jesus Christ is the only Person of the Godhead. This must be harmonized with Colossians 1:15,16, 2:8,9 KJB)

fully explains the part of Daniel 7:13 which states

“and they brought him near before him.”

Daniel 7:13

“I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.”

As I pointed out in the Revelation One Verse 7 study,  Matthew 16:27

Matthew 16:27

For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

reveals the full meaning of Daniel 7:13. I also pointed out that “they” are the angles.

Using the antecedent of the 3RD person plural subject pronoun “they” we clearly see THEY = Angels in Daniel 7:10

Daniel 7:10

“A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened.”

King James Version (KJV)

However,

the nagging question still remains to fully understanding with harmonizing scripture the phrase:

“and they brought him near before him.”

Hebrews 1:3 KJB

Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person,*** and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

Again, using the antecedent of the PRONOUN 'HIS. in verse 3 we go back
to see the GOD = Hebrews 1:1.

.  This harmonizes perfectly with Colossians 1:15,16, 2:8,9 KJB.

IMAGE - VISIBLE IMAGE = PERSON ONLY ONE PERSON BODY = JESUS CHRIST.

And this is why we must understand

The SHOCK and AWE of Hebrews
