CASE STUDY To Prove the King James Bible proves there will be a 3rd Temple

Responding to a gentleman who claims there's no biblical reference to a 3rd Temple:

There is NOT ONE scripture that says, quote: "The Third Temple will be built to usher in the end times etc."

However we have to understand how to study God's word to show ourselves approved unto God (2 Timothy 2:15)

So let’s dive into this:

This is why scriptures tell us to use ALL Scriptures to interpret scripture in our disciplined hermeneutics.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 (KJV) which is connected with the importance of truly understanding DOCTRINE.  Here is a blog i have on this that is very much related to what we're talking about here

which of course is always about JESUS CHRIST:

I'm not trying to get too deep here, but we have to understand that Jesus Christ uses parables and the paradox to conceal but that's a different study. (The Isaiah 6 and the Matthew 13 Kingdom Parables)

Okay,

Let’s use an example here in Daniel 9:25-27 KJV.   This scripture is considered by me and most Bible scholars as the smoking gun evidence of the third temple.  I won’t even go into the Ezekiel 42-48 KJV and Revelation 11 KJV templates for now. I did a deep study on the Millennial Kingdom and was astounded at the level of confusion regarding this and the KINGDOM OF HEAVEN (literal NEW JERUSALEM) which is an entire different subject but it is important to say that the JEWS know of this and actually believe their Temple will restore their rule over the nations when the Messiah comes and restores the KINGDOM.

Now back to Daniel 9:27 KJV.  Let’s first establish CONTEXT:  Simplified, Daniel is given the vision of the DAY of the LORD aka Daniel’s 70th Week, aka The Tribulation aka The Time of Jacob’s Trouble. Daniel tells us from God that after the crucifixion of Jesus Christ there would be a gap of time - unspecified time and then the temple would be restored and or Revelation 11 measuring out the temple, but going to the heart of this matter:

We have to use Revelation 11 and 2 Thessalonians here to get the full picture which I will discuss later in COMPARING SCRIPTURE with SCRIPTURE which is the final step in solid Bible Hermeneutics.

In CONTEXT and HISTORY we have to understand the following:

In Daniel 9:25-27 (KJV), the term "sanctuary" in verse 26 ("the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary") refers to a Jewish temple in Jerusalem. Contextually, this aligns with the Second Temple, destroyed by the Romans in 70 AD, fulfilling part of the prophecy after the Messiah's crucifixion.

However, the "sanctuary" in verse 27, tied to the 70th week and the "abomination of desolation," is widely interpreted as a future Third Temple. Since scripture is clear that QUOTE:  “the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established." Matthew 18:16 KJV (Out of the very mouth of Jesus Christ). We have 2 or more perfectly matched scriptures as follows to back up Daniel 9:27 as being a “different” temple after the 2nd temple was destroyed in 70 AD by the Romans.

The witnesses:  Revelation 11:1-2, where a temple is measured, and 2 Thessalonians 2:4, where the Antichrist desecrates a temple. While the Second Temple fits the historical destruction, the prophetic events of the 70th week, (7 YEAR TRIBULATION measured in weeks of years)  including the cessation of sacrifices and the abomination, Done by the hand of the AntiChrist in a same manner as the desecration of the 2nd Temple by Antiochus Epiphanes IV that caused the Maccabean rebellion.  This also matches Jesus Christ's very dark warning in Matthew 24:15 (KJV), Jesus states, “When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand).”

This directly references Daniel 9:27, where a future prince confirms a covenant for one week (seven years), but midway, he causes sacrifices to cease and sets up the “abomination that maketh desolate” in the sanctuary. Jesus warns that this event, tied to the Third Temple (as the “holy place” implies a restored temple), signals the onset of great tribulation (Matthew 24:21). The abomination is an idolatrous act or object, likely linked to the Antichrist’s desecration (2 Thessalonians 2:4), triggering divine judgment.

For the purpose of saving time here, I will skip over the EXEGESIS which is step 2 of Hermeneutics. This is where I’d go through the process of Grammar analysis, vocabulary and syntax.  I will only say that the syntax in Daniel 9:27 with the verb tenses and the very important aspects of the ANAPHORIC/CATAPHORIC REFERENCE proves grammatically this “sanctuary’ is definitely a DISTINCT TEMPLE from the 2nd Temple destroyed in 2 CE.  I could go into deeper detail if you’d like. But on a quick note, a few years ago I had problems with a group of foolish christians trying to prove that "HE" in Daniel 9:27 was Jesus Christ proving their ignorance in proper hermeneutics.  I have that study if you're interested.

Now for the Comparing scripture with Scripture let’s here for simplicity sake just compare Daniel 9:25-27 KJV to Revelation 11:1-2 and 2 Thessalonians 2:4 KJV.  I would really love to go into deep detail about the Kingdom of Heaven connected to why the Muslims, Jews, and Christians ALL are VERY much concerned about this 3rd Temple. But this is a subject for another day. Thank you very much.
