2 Timothy 3:7

“Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.”

AI use:

This post is based on my own blogs and KJV-only doctrine. I provided my prior writings and material to AI tools for assistance with Scripture harmonization, etymology, lexicon, concordance, and historical research drawn from my online Logos Pro account. In instances where I expose false teachers, I use AI to explore hours of their material and study it. The sheer volume of my work requires this to be more productive—what once took me weeks to compile I am now able to complete in hours.

All content was carefully reviewed and edited by me so that it aligns with the doctrine I have already published. Each line produced with AI assistance has been edited to ensure it complies with the doctrine of this site and references my blog posts in the Essential Reading and Essential Study Links sections. I take full responsibility for the final text. The King James Bible remains the sole authority.

My blogs and this blog are not written according to Chicago style, MLA, APA, or any other formal academic citation system. References are handled according to the standards of this site rather than scholarly conventions. The primary authority is the King James Bible. The doctrine presented is drawn from the King James text and from the teaching already set forth in my own blogs. When commentary from other theologians is used, it is my practice to identify the source directly (for example: “Matthew Poole states in his commentary on Ezekiel 36…”).

The final content aligns with the positions I have already published. I remain fully responsible for every statement that appears. The King James Bible is the sole standard by which the teaching on this site is measured."  End Quote.

Verse 7 is the end of a sentence that starts in verse 6, and both are part of Paul’s warning about false teachers in 2 Timothy 3:1–9.

The full sentence (vv. 6–7, KJV)
“For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.”

Who “they” are
Verses 1–5 describe “perilous times” in the last days, when people are “lovers of their own selves,” “having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof.” Paul ends verse 5 with “from such turn away.” Verse 6 then says the people he means are men who “creep into houses,” meaning they enter homes quietly and by deception, without the church’s approval. Timothy was in Ephesus, and Paul has already named false teachers active there, including Hymenaeus and Philetus, who taught that the resurrection was already past (2:17–18).

What “silly women” means
The Greek word is gynaikaria, a diminutive of gynē (“woman”). It means roughly “little women” or “weak women,” and it is contemptuous. It describes women who were easily swayed. It is not a description of women in general. Paul gives three marks of the women he means:

  • “Laden with sins”: burdened with guilt, which made them open to anyone promising relief.
  • “Led away with divers lusts”: driven by various desires, including curiosity, novelty, and wanting spiritual experiences.
  • “Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth”: always taking in new teaching but never arriving at the truth. The word for “knowledge” here is epignōsis, meaning full recognition or acknowledgment, not just information. In Greek, “ever learning” agrees grammatically with “silly women,” so verse 7 describes the women, not the teachers.

Why women in particular
In first-century households, many women had little formal education and spent much of their time at home. Teachers going house to house could reach them privately, away from the church’s elders. Paul makes a similar point in 1 Timothy 5:13 about idle younger widows going “from house to house.” The fault Paul condemns most strongly is the predatory teachers’. The women are the ones being “led captive.”

God has a sense of humor... here 2,000 years later we find a "SILLY WOMAN"EVER LEARNING YET NEVER COMING TO THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUTH."  Paul wrote this to Timothy by the HOLY GHOST   .

This OUTRAGEOUS, BLASPHEMOUS, REPROBATE KAY PODGEE is leading as many as she can with her to hell. The Lord Rebuke her. The Laodicean Church loves Wolves like her. To Deny the Pauline Epistles as The Inspired Word of God is to deny the Lord Jesus Christ. Paul received the MYSTERY which was given to him from Jesus Christ.

This wicked Jezebel heretic hits all the major heresies. I honestly do not know where to begin but image her not understanding any of the basic fundamentals like the GOSPEL,  the Word of God, the Godhead, The Mystery, etc.  The only thing I find is she seems to understand the Pretribulation Rapture.

This alone to me is hysterically comical and ironic beyond words.. God certainly does have a sense of humor because it was Paul who brought in the MYSTERY of the church which included the PreTribulation RAPTURE of the Church as well GRACE and the grafting in the missing branch into the OLIVE TREE - ONE in Israel one in Christ.

I won't even bother going into her FLAT Earth nonsense.

SEPTUAGINT LIES VS The King James Bible

KAY PODGEE claims Paul was quoting from Septuagint which she pulled down from AI and seminary school lies.

Kay Podgee’s claim that Paul used the Septuagint and therefore “did not quote the Old Testament correctly” is unproven and irrelevant. Paul introduces the passage with “as it is written” and draws every line from Old Testament texts (Psalm 14, Psalm 5, Psalm 140, Psalm 10, Isaiah 59, Psalm 36). There is no definite proof he relied on a Greek translation rather than the Hebrew Scriptures. Even if the Greek wording shows affinity with some Greek form of the psalms, that does not change the fact that the material is Old Testament Scripture.

New Testament of the King James Version is based primarily on the Textus Receptus (TR), the series of Greek editions that began with Erasmus in 1516 and were refined through later editors such as Stephanus and Beza. Those were the printed Greek texts most readily available to the KJV translators in the early 17th century, and they represent a form of the Byzantine (majority) text-type that had become standard in the Greek-speaking churches of the medieval period.

A few precise points:

  • Erasmus worked from a handful of relatively late manuscripts (mostly 12th century and later). He did not have access to the earliest surviving Greek New Testament manuscripts we now possess (the great uncials of the 4th–5th centuries or the many papyri from the 2nd–3rd centuries). In a few places he even back-translated from the Latin Vulgate when his Greek sources were incomplete.

  • The Textus Receptus is therefore a specific, late form of the Greek text. It is “received” in the sense that it was the standard printed text used by Protestants for roughly three centuries, not in the sense that it is the earliest or the original autograph form.

  • The KJV Old Testament, by contrast, rests on the Hebrew Masoretic Text (primarily the Second Rabbinic Bible of 1524–25), not on a Greek source.

Who is Kay Podgee (Kaylah Hodgins)

Kay Podgee (also styled KayPodgee; Instagram name associated with Kaylah Hodgins) is a U.S.-based independent Christian content creator and self-described “forever student of the Most High.” She focuses on deep Scripture study, patterns, biblical cosmology (firmament and related views), prophecy, Hebrew/Greek word studies, apocrypha, and alternative history. She encourages testing claims against the Bible rather than institutional church teaching.YouTube
Brief Bio

She describes herself as a former indifferent atheist (raised in a Catholic setting but non-practicing and spiritually “dead” to her own account). On March 20, 2021, she had a vivid dream of a rapture-like event: the sky/firmament cracking open, a gigantic Jesus descending, and herself (along with others) being taken up while hearing words of love and acceptance. This led to a radical conversion. She has shared additional dreams involving Jesus and notes a past marked by tattoos and life struggles that she says help her relate to audiences.

She began posting content around 2024–2025 and grew rapidly by doing research-style videos on topics including the firmament, end-times signs, Torah-related themes, critiques of “once saved always saved,” and (more recently) the claim that Paul is a false apostle. She presents as a non-denominational researcher rather than a pastor or formal theologian and has appeared in interviews discussing Nephilim, giants, biblical cosmology, and related subjects. Her content is popular but polarizing, especially her recent rejection of the Pauline epistles as inspired Scripture.YouTube

Fundamental Belief and Teaching on Premillennial Doctrine

Aparently she does believe in the PreTribulation Rapture but sadly - unless she REPENTS and gets saved, she will get to find out in the Tribulation what's going on.

Key elements of her teaching include:

Biblical patterns such as Enoch (taken by faith, Hebrews 11:5), Elijah, and the Noah’s ark parallel (escape before judgment).
Distinctives in John’s Gospel (e.g., John 14 “I will come again and receive you to myself,” bridal/wedding imagery) contrasted with the Olivet Discourse in the Synoptics.

The “come up here” in Revelation 4 as the church’s ascent before the judgments.

Jewish wedding customs as a prophetic framework for the rapture.

Early church support (references to figures like Irenaeus and Ephraim the Syrian) and material from the Book of Enoch.
Emphasis on faith, readiness, and ongoing obedience/repentance so that one is among those taken rather than left to endure the Tribulation.

She warns against letting post-trib arguments undermine faith and has connected readiness to commandment-keeping themes in her broader teaching.YouTube

This is presented alongside her biblical cosmology views and critiques of modern institutional Christianity as being in a “falling away.”

Bible Translation She Normally Uses

She does not adhere to a single “only” translation but has stated that the ESV (English Standard Version) is her most commonly used. She notes that it largely preserves the structure and readability of the KJV while incorporating more Septuagint-aligned material in the Old Testament (which she prefers because it better matches New Testament quotations and was the version available to the apostles).  NOTE:  She demotes the Septuagint in saying in the X POST video that Paul probably used the Septuagint which distorts his Epistle in Romans chapter 3.

She also regularly consults and recommends:KJV (solid overall, especially if one is comfortable with the language).

Geneva Bible reprints (e.g., 1560; Septuagint-leaning).
Antique Bibles such as her 1863 Cassell edition (a KJV/Geneva-style mashup with notes).

The Ethiopian Bible and related texts for their inclusion of Apocrypha (including Enoch and Jubilees), which she treats as valuable or inspired for study.

She frequently compares translations, favors the Septuagint over the Masoretic Text for the Old Testament in places, and includes Apocrypha in her research while advising beginners to start with the standard 66-book canon.YouTube

Note: Her recent public claim that Paul is the false apostle warned about in Revelation (and related rejection of the Pauline epistles as authoritative Scripture) is a major point of controversy and is widely rejected as heretical by mainstream Christian groups, as it undercuts the canonical New Testament.

Critiques of her work often focus on this and on her broader interpretive approach. All information above is drawn from her public content, platform data, and contemporaneous reporting.68 sources

Kay Podgee affirms Jesus’ divinity and engages positively with Trinitarian concepts, without publicly rejecting the classical doctrine of the Trinity.

66 sources

Kay Podgee’s most confrontational teachings (ranked by the volume of public backlash, critique videos, and how sharply they clash with mainstream Protestant/evangelical Christianity) center on these areas:

1. Paul Is a False Apostle

This is currently her most explosive claim. She teaches that Paul is the false apostle Jesus warned about in Revelation (specifically tying it to Revelation 2:2). She argues his letters produce bad fruit, contradict Jesus’ teachings, and should not be treated as inspired Scripture on the same level as the Gospels.

This effectively challenges large portions of the New Testament canon. It has drawn strong responses from accounts like Protestia and multiple YouTube refutations calling it heresy.YouTube

2. Christians Can Lose Their Salvation (Rejection of “Once Saved Always Saved”)

She strongly rejects eternal security / OSAS. She teaches that ongoing obedience and repentance are necessary and that many professing believers (especially those relying on a one-time “sinner’s prayer” or “faith alone” without works/fruit) are not truly saved and risk hearing “depart from me.”

She links this to passages about enduring, keeping commandments, and not being snatched from the Father’s hand only if one remains in Him.

Critics regularly challenge her on this and invite debates.YouTube

3. Ongoing Torah / Commandment-Keeping for Believers (Hebrew Roots–style emphasis)

She stresses that true faith is shown by keeping God’s commandments (including moral law and Sabbath themes). She describes the Holy Spirit as the power that enables obedience (citing Ezekiel 36 and similar texts) and calls rejection of the law “lawlessness” or Nicolaitan-style teaching (which Jesus hates in Revelation).

She criticizes “Paulianity,” hyper-grace, and the idea that the law was abolished. Critics label this Judaizing or a return to the Mosaic Law for Christians.X

4. Biblical Cosmology (Firmament / Flat-Earth-Adjacent Views)

She promotes a firmament cosmology consistent with a more literal reading of the Bible’s structure of the heavens (dome/firmament, Polaris connected to God’s throne, northern orientation themes).

She has stated the Earth is not a globe in the conventional scientific sense and has linked true Jerusalem with the North Pole in her content.

This is highly confrontational to both mainstream science and most Christian views of creation and geography.X

5. Institutional Christianity Is Largely in the Falling Away

She repeatedly teaches that modern churches (especially 501(c)(3) tax-exempt ones), hyper-grace teaching, and most popular evangelical doctrines represent a systematic falling away.

She argues many pastors promote lawlessness, that the institutional church itself has departed from Scripture, and that people should study independently rather than trust institutional authority.

She frames much of contemporary Christianity as “Nicolaitan” or under the influence of deception.YouTube

Other Notable Confrontational Elements

Heavy use of Apocrypha (especially the Book of Enoch) alongside the 66-book canon for prophecy, cosmology, and end-times insight.

Strong “red-letter” prioritization of Jesus’ words in the Gospels over much of the rest of the New Testament.

Various conspiracy-adjacent claims (parasites as demonic, certain historical/institutional deceptions, end-times symbolism).

These teachings form a consistent pattern: skepticism toward institutional Christianity and the Pauline corpus, emphasis on obedience and the law, and a mix of biblical literalism with alternative cosmology and research. The Paul claim and the OSAS/Torah positions currently generate the strongest pushback.

Kay's Pauline Epistle perversion:

Note: see my commentary in red letters:

Kay Podgee’s Pauline critique is most fully developed in her video Why I Believe Paul is a False Apostle (October 2026, roughly 78 minutes).

She presents it as a long-held conclusion reached by comparing Paul’s letters against the Gospels, the Torah, the rest of the New Testament, and certain external sources, rather than a recent or casual view. She prioritizes the words of Jesus and the original twelve apostles (especially James and the Jerusalem leadership) and treats Paul’s writings as containing a mixture of truth and distortion that has produced bad fruit in institutional Christianity.

This is a common element of the Judiazed Christian Zionists. This is exactly what Paul and the apostles including Jesus Christ battled. See my blog links above regarding the MYSTERY.

Core Claim

She identifies Paul as the false apostle Jesus warned the Ephesian church about in Revelation 2:2 (“those who say they are apostles and are not, and have found them liars”). She argues that accepting Paul as fully authoritative requires discarding or heavily subordinating large portions of Jesus’ teaching, the Torah, and the testimony of the original apostles.

BLASPHEMOUS...

She is absolutely ignorant here of who Jesus is referring to and to understand that Paul wrote Timothy about the same issues involving the church at Ephesis.

Here is the revised response using only the King James Version.

Kay’s claim that the false apostles of Revelation 2:2 (to the church of Ephesus) are the Apostle Paul collapses under the plain reading of Scripture, the timeline of the New Testament, and Paul’s own warnings written directly to Ephesus.

Revelation 2:2 in Context

Jesus says to the angel of the church in Ephesus:

“I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:” (Revelation 2:2, KJV)

This is a commendation. The Ephesian church is praised for testing those who claimed to be apostles and exposing them as liars. Paul was already dead when Revelation was written (traditionally dated to the mid-to-late 90s AD; Paul was martyred in the mid-60s). The church Jesus addresses is a later generation of the assembly Paul founded and strengthened.

Paul’s Direct Warning to the Ephesian Elders

Paul himself predicted this exact problem. In his farewell address to the elders of Ephesus he said:

“Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them. Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.” (Acts 20:28–31, KJV)

The “grievous wolves” and those “speaking perverse things” who would arise after Paul’s departure are the false apostles and false teachers Jesus later praises the Ephesians for testing and rejecting. The church in Revelation 2 is doing precisely what Paul charged them to do.

Paul’s Letters to Timothy While in Ephesus

1 Timothy and 2 Timothy were written to Timothy while he was in Ephesus, specifically to confront false teaching there:

  • “As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine, Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.” (1 Timothy 1:3–4, KJV)

  • “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.” (1 Timothy 4:1–3, KJV)

  • See also 1 Timothy 6:3–5 and the repeated warnings in 2 Timothy 2–4 against those who teach contrary to the sound words of the Lord Jesus Christ and the apostolic doctrine.

Paul is the one arming Timothy and the Ephesian church to fight the very false apostles and false teachers Jesus later commends them for exposing. It is incoherent to claim Jesus was referring to Paul himself as one of those false apostles.

Paul’s Apostleship

Paul’s apostleship rests on the direct call of the risen Christ (Acts 9; Galatians 1:11–17; 1 Corinthians 9:1; 15:8–9). He was recognized by the other apostles (Galatians 2; Acts 15). Peter affirms that Paul’s writings are Scripture:

“And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.” (2 Peter 3:15–16, KJV)

The same church in Ephesus that Jesus addresses in Revelation received Paul’s labor, his epistle to the Ephesians, and his warnings. Jesus does not praise them for rejecting the one who planted them; He praises them for rejecting those who falsely claimed the same office.

The Chronological and Logical Problem

Kay’s reading requires us to believe that the church Paul spent years establishing, the elders he personally warned with tears, and the associate (Timothy) he charged to protect sound doctrine somehow concluded that Paul himself was the false apostle—and that Jesus later congratulated them for it. That reading contradicts Acts, the Pastoral Epistles, the epistle to the Ephesians, and the plain sense of Revelation 2:2.

Jesus was warning the church (and commending Ephesus for vigilance) about the false apostles and false prophets that would arise after the apostolic era—exactly the danger Paul had already named in Acts 20 and in his epistles to Timothy. The claim that Revelation 2:2 identifies Paul as one of those false apostles is anachronistic, ignores the historical sequence, and overturns the very texts that equip the church to recognize and reject false teachers.

Main Lines of Argument

1. Lack of proper credentials and contradictory accountsPaul fails the criteria for apostleship given in Acts 1 (someone who accompanied Jesus from the baptism of John and was a witness of the resurrection).

OUTRAGEOUS ...BLASPHEMOUS... see my study in essential blog links about Paul's credentials and given to him directly from Jesus Christ.

Revised and expanded with KJV only, including Paul’s direct reception of the gospel from Jesus and his attestation by the apostles at Jerusalem.

Kay’s claim that the false apostles of Revelation 2:2 are the Apostle Paul collapses under the plain reading of Scripture. Paul explicitly states he received his gospel directly from Jesus Christ and was attested by the apostles at Jerusalem.

Paul Received His Gospel Directly from Jesus

Paul is clear that his gospel did not come from men but by direct revelation of Jesus Christ:

“But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.” (Galatians 1:11–12, KJV)

“Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;)” (Galatians 1:1, KJV)

“But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb, and called me by his grace, To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood: Neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again unto Damascus.” (Galatians 1:15–17, KJV)

He further affirms the risen Christ appeared to him and commissioned him:

“And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. But by the grace of God I am what I am…” (1 Corinthians 15:8–10, KJV)

Paul Was Attested by the Apostles at Jerusalem

Paul submitted his gospel to the apostles in Jerusalem, and they confirmed it:

“Then fourteen years after I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, and took Titus with me also. And I went up by revelation, and communicated unto them that gospel which I preach among the Gentiles… But of these who seemed to be somewhat… But when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter; (For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles:) And when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship; that we should go unto the heathen, and they unto the circumcision.” (Galatians 2:1–2, 6, 7–9, KJV)

This is the same Paul whose ministry among the Gentiles was recognized at the Jerusalem Council in Acts 15, where the apostles and elders confirmed the gospel of grace without requiring circumcision of the Gentiles.

Revelation 2:2 and the False Apostles

Jesus commends the church at Ephesus:

“I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:” (Revelation 2:2, KJV)

This cannot refer to Paul. Paul founded and labored in Ephesus (Acts 19), personally warned the Ephesian elders of coming false teachers after his departure (Acts 20:28–31), and wrote 1 and 2 Timothy to Timothy while he was at Ephesus to charge him to stop those teaching “other doctrine” (1 Timothy 1:3). Jesus praises the later Ephesian church for doing exactly what Paul instructed them to do—testing and rejecting false claimants to the apostolic office.

Peter himself affirms Paul’s writings as Scripture:

“And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.” (2 Peter 3:15–16, KJV)

The claim that Revelation 2:2 identifies Paul as a false apostle contradicts Paul’s own testimony that he received the gospel by revelation of Jesus Christ, the attestation given him by the pillars at Jerusalem, the historical record of his ministry in Ephesus, and the commendation Jesus later gives that same church for exposing false apostles.

His Damascus-road experience lacks two or three consistent witnesses (the accounts in Acts differ).

OUTRAGEOUS ... BLASPHEMOUS...  Read my blog on Paul in essential study links. Paul had witnesses and was authenticated in Acts 15 and God sent Paul to Ananias, Who Restored His Vision and Prepared Him

Paul’s conversion on the road to Damascus was not a private, unwitnessed event. Scripture records that men were traveling with him, and that God then sent him to a specific man in Damascus who restored his sight and prepared him for the work Christ had called him to do.

Witnesses Were Present on the Road

Saul was not alone. Men journeyed with him and were eyewitnesses of the event:

“And the men which journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no man.” (Acts 9:7, KJV)

Paul later recounts the same event:

“And they that were with me saw indeed the light, and were afraid; but they heard not the voice of him that spake to me.” (Acts 22:9, KJV)

The men with him saw the light and were afraid. They stood speechless. One account records them hearing a voice; the other notes they did not hear the articulate voice of the One speaking to Paul. Either way, companions were present and observed the supernatural manifestation. The claim of “no witnesses” is simply false according to the text.

God Sent Paul to Ananias, Who Restored His Vision and Prepared Him

The Lord did not leave Paul in isolation. He directed him to Damascus and sent a specific man—Ananias—to restore his sight, baptize him, and confirm his calling:

“And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias; and to him said the Lord in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord. And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight, and enquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul, of Tarsus: for, behold, he prayeth, And hath seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in, and putting his hand on him, that he might receive his sight.” (Acts 9:10–12, KJV)

Ananias went as commanded:

“And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost. And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized.” (Acts 9:17–18, KJV)

Paul himself testifies of this same man and the purpose of the encounter:

“And one Ananias, a devout man according to the law, having a good report of all the Jews which dwelt there, Came unto me, and stood, and said unto me, Brother Saul, receive thy sight. And the same hour I looked up upon him. And he said, The God of our fathers hath chosen thee, that thou shouldest know his will, and see that Just One, and shouldest hear the voice of his mouth. For thou shalt be his witness unto all men of what thou hast seen and heard. And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.” (Acts 22:12–16, KJV)

Ananias was a known, devout disciple with a good report among the Jews in Damascus. The Lord sent him to restore Paul’s physical sight, fill him with the Holy Ghost, baptize him, and declare the purpose for which Christ had appeared to him—so that Paul would be a witness of what he had seen and heard.

Summary

There were companions with Saul on the road who witnessed the light and the event. Immediately afterward, the Lord sent Ananias—a recognized disciple—to restore Paul’s sight, baptize him, and prepare him for the ministry to which Christ had called him. The biblical record directly contradicts any claim that there were “no witnesses” or that Paul’s conversion lacked external confirmation.

She compares it to warnings about false prophets who perform signs in the wilderness (Matthew 24).

OUTRAGEOUS BLASPHEMOUS... NO COMMENT...

He claims private revelations and a “mystery” that cannot be publicly tested in the same way as the ministry of the Twelve.

2. Conflict with the Jerusalem apostles Paul was corrected or opposed by James, Peter, and the Jerusalem pillars (Galatians 2).

He did not fully submit to the Jerusalem church led by Jesus’ brother James.

She reads Acts 15 and related passages as showing the original apostles upholding certain Torah-related requirements for Gentiles, while Paul later taught differently.

OUTRAGEOUS... BLASPHEMOUS... SEE Blog on Acts 15 where Paul was vetted as an authentic apostle.   Read 2 Peter 3:16 KJV.

3. Doctrinal contradictions with Jesus and the Torah Emphasis on “faith alone” / mental assent without corresponding obedience is treated as contradicting James, Jesus’ teaching on works and judgment (Matthew 7, 25), and the Torah.

Paul is said to loosen food laws (e.g., 1 Corinthians 8–10 on food sacrificed to idols) in ways that conflict with Acts 15 and Isaiah 66:17.
She accuses him of effectively canceling or reinterpreting Sabbath, festivals, and other commands, contrary to Jesus’ statement that not one jot or tittle of the law would pass until heaven and earth pass (Matthew 5:17–18).

Romans 6:14 and similar statements (“not under law but under grace”) are read as encouraging lawlessness.

OUTRAGEOUS, BLASPHEMOUS... See the MYSTERY explained in my Essential Study Links.

4. Self-promotion, language, and “fruit”Paul calls people fools or uses harsh language (contrary to Matthew 5:22 in her reading).
He boasts of his credentials as a Pharisee and of signs and wonders.

She interprets passages such as Romans 3:7 and 2 Corinthians 12:16 as admissions of craftiness or lying.
The widespread elevation of Paul’s letters over the Gospels and the resulting “once saved always saved” / hyper-grace teaching are presented as the bad fruit of his influence (the Nicolaitan-style Christianity she criticizes elsewhere).

5. Additional supporting material

Physical descriptions from early sources (short stature, appearance linked by some to Hermes/Mercury or even antichrist imagery in certain apocryphal texts).
Manuscript notes or scribal references she connects to pagan elements.
Doubts about the authorship or reliability of 2 Peter (which endorses Paul).
Selective use of the Septuagint and alleged out-of-context quoting of the Old Testament.
Overall Framework

Podgee frames the issue as a choice between the simple, action-oriented teaching of Jesus (fear God, keep the commandments, produce fruit) and a more complex Pauline system that, in her view, has become the foundation of most modern institutional Christianity. She acknowledges that Paul’s letters contain some true statements but maintains that the overall system they support is deceptive and has led large numbers of people into a false sense of security.

This critique is highly confrontational because it directly challenges the canonical status and inspiration of roughly half the New Testament for most Christians. It has prompted multiple public responses and refutations that argue she takes verses out of context, ignores the positive testimony of Acts, the Jerusalem Council, and 2 Peter 3:15–16, and applies inconsistent standards of evidence.

Her position fits her broader “red-letter” and Torah-observant leanings: she prioritizes the Gospels and the law-keeping emphasis she finds in Jesus and James while treating much of the Pauline corpus as secondary or unreliable.

THE SPECIFICS OF HER INSANE CLAIM IN HER VIDEO:

She takes her notes using most likely an ESV translation and misquotes Paul in Romans 3:10-12 KJV which is quotes the Old Testament saying exactly what is written.

Romans 3:10-12 (KJV)

10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.
12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

Psalm 14:1-3 (KJV)

1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.
2 The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.
3 They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

Psalm 53:1-3 (KJV)

1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.
2 God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God.
3 Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

Paul is not inventing or distorting this. He is quoting the Old Testament nearly verbatim  The KJV rendering of Romans 3:10-12 tracks the sense of Psalm 14:1-3 and Psalm 53:1-3 exactly: universal human sinfulness, no one righteous, no one seeking God, all gone astray. This is not a “Pauline invention” or evidence of deceit. It is standard Jewish proof-texting of the Psalms to establish the need for righteousness outside of human performance.

In the video clip shared in the post you linked, the page she is pointing at uses wording such as “None is righteous, no, not one,” “no one understands,” “no one seeks for God,” and “All have turned aside; together they have become worthless.” That is the English Standard Version (ESV), not the KJV. The ESV is a modern translation that renders the same Greek/Hebrew source text in contemporary English. It is not a different underlying Scripture; it is simply clearer English for the same content Paul is citing from the Psalms.

Her attempt to treat Romans 3:7 (“through my lie”) as Paul confessing that he is a lying false apostle ignores the rhetorical structure of the chapter. In context, Paul is answering a Jewish objector who is accusing him of implying that God is unjust or that sin is somehow advantageous. The “lie” language is part of that diatribe style (common in ancient argumentation), not a personal admission. Immediately afterward he quotes the Psalms to prove the opposite of what she claims: that every mouth is stopped and the whole world is guilty before God (Romans 3:19 KJV). The citation of Psalm 14/53 exists precisely to shut down any claim of inherent human righteousness, which is the foundation of his later argument for justification by faith.

The texts themselves refute the idea that Paul is smuggling in a foreign or deceptive message. He is doing what the prophets and psalmists already did: declaring that no one meets God’s standard on their own

  1. I went to isthisaiwritten(dot)com and low and behold, it claims that 80% likely your piece is written by AI. Did you declare that anywhere? I don't object to differing views. I object to using AI being used as their own.

HERE IS AN AI RESPONSE FOR YOU:

"You’re not a critic. You’re an anonymous authenticity cop applying journal standards to a personal spiritual blog that makes no claim to academic originality or commercial authority."

This is me: "Anonymous to make a blanket statement:

"80% likely written by AI" is ridiculous. That is an outrageous statement.
That means I asked AI to write a blog for me to expose Kay without anything provided. Do you realize that it would write a complete agreement with her without proper input.

Also, that would mean that I provided nothing of my ESSENTIAL BACKGROUND STUDY LINKS or based KJV scripture to expose her.

It was not 100% AI-generated. I used AI for research and study of material, then reviewed and edited the results so they align with my existing doctrine and prior posts. An 80% score from a detector on mixed or edited content is not proof of pure AI writing, and detectors are known to be unreliable. "

This is AI: "The Third Heaven Traveler is a record of biblical reflection and personal conviction, not a peer-reviewed paper or paid ghostwritten product. Running its posts through AI detectors or plagiarism checkers and treating the scores as decisive is form-over-substance theater. Those tools are probabilistic, frequently flag ordinary human writing (especially simpler or non-native prose), and were never built to police casual personal sites. Google and readers care about usefulness and clarity, not whether an idea was drafted with assistance.
If the content is biblically sound, clear, or worth engaging, say so. If it is flawed, address the argument. Obsessing over the production method while ignoring the material is the opposite of reading. For a non-professional blog, that approach is pedantic gatekeeping, not analysis. Engage the ideas or move on.

FOR THE RECORD OF AI USE IN THIS BLOG AND MY MOST RECENT ONES:

I told AI what to write and it wrote this out for me for you Anonymous:

      quote: "AI use:

    2. "Anonymous" (Part 1 of 2):

You came to a post exposing a false teacher who is leading souls astray. You did not dispute one Scripture, one doctrinal point, or one conclusion. Instead, you pasted my words into a website, got back a number, and accused me of plagiarism. Let me answer you point by point.

      1. You accused me of plagiarism. You are wrong.

Plagiarism is taking another person's work and passing it off as your own. Name the author I copied. Name the book, the sermon, the article. You can't, because there isn't one. The doctrine in that post comes from the King James Bible and from teaching I have published on this site for years. When I quote a theologian, I name him in the text, as in "Matthew Poole states in his commentary on Ezekiel 36..."

You also don't understand the tool you used. You're no different than a child playing with a loaded gun. An AI detector does not check for plagiarism. It doesn't compare my writing against any source. It guesses, statistically, whether text resembles machine-generated prose. That is all "80%" means: a guess. These detectors are notoriously unreliable. They routinely flag ordinary human writing, especially plain, direct prose, and some have rated historical documents like the U.S. Constitution as "likely AI." OpenAI withdrew its own detector because it was too inaccurate. You built an accusation of theft on a coin flip and called it evidence.

      2. Thank you for the one useful thing you said.

You raised disclosure, and that was fair. I agree readers should know how this work is produced, so I have added a clear statement of my AI use to the post. Every line is reviewed and edited by me to match the doctrine already published here, and I take full responsibility for every word. So thank you. The disclaimer is posted. Your accusation of plagiarism, however, stands refuted.

      3. AI is a TOOL, and I have taught on tools since 2022.

Had you read anything else on this site before running to your detector, you would have found my study "How to Study and Understand the King James Bible - From a Workman Approved unto God by His Grace" (April 2022):
      https://www.thethirdheaventraveler.com/2022/04/understand-bible-from-workman-approved.html

"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." (2 Timothy 2:15)

In that study I lay out the TOOLS a workman uses. The two essentials are the King James Bible, the final authority, and a sound English dictionary (I use the Oxford Compact). Then come the supplementary tools: Strong's Exhaustive Concordance, Greek and Hebrew lexicons, Bible software like SwordSearcher, MySword, and Blue Letter Bible, and commentaries from men like Matthew Henry and Charles Ellicott. I wrote then, and I hold now, that these tools are used to enhance and support what we already know from God's final authority, never to replace it. And I warned readers that tools are not all created equal: use discretion, check everything against the King James, and if it doesn't seem right, run.

    3. To "Anonymous" (Part 2 of 2):

AI is one more tool in that same toolbox. It searches, compiles, and organizes faster than I can by hand, the same way a concordance finds every occurrence of a word faster than reading the Bible cover to cover. A man who uses Strong's has not plagiarized James Strong. A man who reads Matthew Henry has not plagiarized Matthew Henry. A man who uses a hammer did not steal the house from the hammer. The tool does not decide the doctrine. The King James Bible does, and I answer for every word.

Any tool is dangerous if it is not used properly. I have warned on this site that lexicons, concordances, commentaries, and Bible software, including Logos, can lead a careless student astray with perverted translations and philosophy. That is why I use them for raw material such as word searches, lexicon entries, and history, and never let them set doctrine. AI is no different. In the hands of a man who checks every line against the King James Bible, it is a tool. In the hands of a man who trusts it blindly, it is a snare. The same is true of the detector you used: you trusted it blindly, and it led you to a false accusation.

In that same 2022 study I defined study from the dictionary, and the bottom line was this: study means TO WORK. I still do the work. The tools just let me do more of it. What once took me weeks now takes hours, which means more studies, more exposure of wolves, and more Scripture in front of readers.

      4. You strained at a gnat and swallowed a camel.

"Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel." (Matthew 23:24)

Read the verse before it: the Lord rebuked the Pharisees for tithing mint, anise, and cummin while they "omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith" (Matthew 23:23). That is exactly what you did. The camel in that post is a teacher spreading blasphemy and deceiving people. The gnat is which tool helped me organize my research. You swallowed the camel without a word and choked on the gnat.

"Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment." (John 7:24)
"He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him." (Proverbs 18:13)

      5. Learn what standard applies where.

This is a personal Bible-study blog written by a layman, not a scholar, and I say so plainly on this site. It is not a peer-reviewed journal, a dissertation, or a paid ghostwritten product, and it has never claimed to be. Academic journals require Chicago, MLA, or APA citation because they make claims of original scholarly research to an academic community with its own code of acceptance. I covered that in the same 2022 study, too. This site answers to a different standard: the King James Bible, checked like the Bereans checked Paul (Acts 17:11). Demanding journal citation rules from a personal ministry blog is like issuing a speeding ticket to a man on a bicycle.

      6. One more thing.

You demand that I "declare" how I write, while you won't declare your own name. I put my name and my doctrine on this site in public. You hide behind "Anonymous" and judge another man's servant (Romans 14:4).

You said you don't object to differing views. Then here is your opportunity: show me from the King James Bible where anything in that post is false. If you can, I will correct it publicly. If you can't, then you have nothing to say about this post, and I suggest you take your detector and go police someone else.

    4. Anonymous: Here is your homework: Go and study: Wise as serpents, wiser children of this world

“Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.” (Matthew 10:16)

“And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light.” (Luke 16:8)

      Walk wisely, not as fools

“See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.” (Ephesians 5:15-17)

“Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.” (Colossians 4:5)

“Brethren, be not children in understanding: howbeit in malice be ye children, but in understanding be men.” (1 Corinthians 14:20)

      Understanding the times

“And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do...” (1 Chronicles 12:32)

This one fits AI perfectly: the men of Issachar understood their times. A Christian who doesn’t understand the tools of his own day can’t judge them rightly.

The simple believe every word (trusting a detector blindly)

“The simple believeth every word: but the prudent man looketh well to his going.” (Proverbs 14:15)

“A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself; but the simple pass on, and are punished.” (Proverbs 22:3)

“Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.” (1 Thessalonians 5:21)

Proverbs 14:15 is a direct hit on Anonymous: he believed the detector’s “80%” without testing it.

Lack of knowledge and spiritual immaturity

“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge...” (Hosea 4:6)

“For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.” (Hebrews 5:13-14)

God’s servants skilled in worldly learning and tools

“As for these four children, God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom...” (Daniel 1:17)

“And Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and was mighty in words and in deeds.” (Acts 7:22)

“And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship.” (Exodus 31:3, of Bezaleel)
