Solving the Paradox of Justification by FAITH ALONE and Justification by WORKS #DoctrineMatters #KJVONLY
James 2:24
“Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.”
King James Version (KJV)
Titus 3:5
“Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;”
King James Version (KJV)
Galatians 2:16
“Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.”
King James Version (KJV)
FALSE TEACHERS, ATHEISTS, and confounded souls are confounded by the "seemingly contradiction" of these scriptures leaving many souls shipwrecked and casualties of not STUDYING to show themselves approved.
By God's GRACE we will properly divide and examine these scriptures as the paradox they present and as a good paradox will do - show a greater and more truth.
SHOCKER: James 2:24 is confirming Titus 3:5-7 and Galatians 2:16 among several other scriptures proving we are NOT SAVED BY WORKS, but it is FAITH ALONE and NOT our WORKS. In this study we will methodically prove this.
A simple quote here from Brother Cameron Moshfegh states it clearly:
" ... the works that James 2 is speaking of really are the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ teaching us the law of liberty which only can happen if we truly have believed in the Gospel (1 Corinthians 15:1-4) and therefore received the faith of the Lord Jesus Christ." End Quote.
I would like to add that when we see the word WORKS here in James 2:24 and Titus 3:5 for example we see this as the WORKS of JESUS CHRIST - His perfect finished WORK for our SALVATION - REDEMPTION and how we stand PERFECT before Him as RIGHTEOUS. G2041 - In context is ACTS, DEEDS, UNDERTAKING SOMETHING. I will go into great detail further.
Background: This study began when Brother Markus shared a very good video with me here below. I want to thank Brother Markus for sharing this video with me. This video from "NO NONSENSE CHRISTIANITY" goes into great depth into this subject, and I highly recommend this channel for their solid doctrine on Soteriology.
I personally have some disagreement into a small portion whereby one of the commentators does not clearly understand JUDGING THE FRUIT OF SOMEONE in accordance with Matthew 7:20. We can judge the FRUIT of someone, and it is indeed their works as well as their words. This video seems to say a person's works do not indicate their salvation, but this does not harmonize with 1 John 2:19, Philippians 1:11, 3:15, 17-19, etc.
1 John 2:19 KJB
"They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us."

In this study I will be referring to the following background study links that are deeply related to understanding to what I'm discussing:
We must understand HYPER DIVIDERS who treat this study in James as not relevant to the Church and only speaking to the JEWS. I can't begin to describe the levels of depravity in this false teaching. These are cursed for removing from God's WORD.
Even more EVIL and who are accursed as well are the Those who PREACH ANOTHER GOSPEL
The interpretation of and Harmonizing of James 2:24 and Ephesians 2:8 requires the UNDERSTANDING OF THE PARADOX and how we resolve this in solid Bible Hermeneutics. James 2:24 is NOT what the Hyper-Dispensationalists teach.
It is NOT what the FALSE TEACHERS preaching another Gospel and ACCURSED teach. It is NOT some other distorted teachings out there but rather simply this as detailed in the NO NONSENSE Video and in even in a deeper study revealed here by Brother Cameron Moshfegh and my related study here.
This BLOG will also be made into a separate video by Brother Markus who will lend his insight into this study.
We must understand HOW to study God's WORD and WHY the King James Bible is the FINAL AUTHORITY of God's WORD.
We must understand the MYSTERY revealed to Paul.

We find here comparing James 2:24 and Galatians 2:16 among several other scriptures I will present A MAJOR PARADOX - See studies to fully understand a Paradox
What Brother Cameron Moshfegh summarized in a few short study notes goes deeper and provides a deeper truth than the 3 hour video I show above. Let's first examine Brother Cameron's notes:
Note: Quoting Brother Cameron's study:
As we study Scripture for doctrine, we show ourselves approved unto God, rightly dividing the word of truth but shun profane and vain babblings, for they will increase unto more ungodliness (2 Timothy 2:15-16). We do so not with strife but gentleness, patience and meekness (2 Timothy 2:24-26).
When learning a teaching, our mind tries to understand. Because God is not a liar (Proverbs 8:7-8, Titus 1:2, Hebrews 6:18) and logic is without doubt, logic is a requirement for doctrine. If we disregard logic, our mind cannot serve doctrine. Hence, we need to know what a paradox and a contradiction is.
A paradox is defined as when there are two
or more statements, where all statements
are true, but it is not clear how they can be
brought into agreement, and once it is clear,
the paradox is solved.
A contradiction is defined as when there are two or more statements, where not all statements can be true and therefore cannot be brought into agreement.
When encountering a paradox, the study around each of the involved Bible verses needs to be expanded until the paradox is solved, going from verse to verses, from verses to chapters, from chapters to books, and from books to the whole Bible. However, contradictions are not acceptable for doctrine because God is not a liar (Proverbs 8:7-8, Titus 1:2, Hebrews 6:18). Therefore, contradictions mark errors of the study practices that a student of Scripture uses.
There are NO contradictions in the King James bible God is not a liar

As repeated in my studies - an undisciplined Christian who does NOT STUDY God's WORD in the FINAL AUTHORITY OF THE KING JAMES BIBLE would think this be a contradiction or fall prey to the FALSE TEACHERS of Hyper Dispensation or Preachers of another Gospel, but in reality I will show in this study James 2:24 is proving and harmonizes perfectly with Galatians 2:16 and the other scriptures.
- as we are saved by grace through faith of the Lord Jesus Christ, His grace rejoices against judgement of the law of the old testament (James 2:13)
- and then the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ teaches us the law of liberty (James 2:12)
- to receive the faith of the Lord Jesus Christ, having believed in the Gospel (1 Corinthians 15:1-4) cannot be only an agreement, but it must be with the whole heart.
James 2:24
“Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.”
King James Version (KJV)
Galatians 2:16
“Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.”
King James Version (KJV)
Ephesians 2:8
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:”
King James Version (KJV)
Romans 11:6
“And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.”
King James Version (KJV)
Romans 4:5
“But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.”
King James Version (KJV)
Titus 3:5
“Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;”
King James Version (KJV)
Titus 3:6
“Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;”
King James Version (KJV)
Titus 3:7
“That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.”
King James Version (KJV)
Romans 5:1
“Therefore being justified by
faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:”
King James Version (KJV)
Romans 3:30
“Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.”
King James Version (KJV)
Titus 3:7
“That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.”
King James Version (KJV)
In Genesis 22, God tests Abraham's faith by asking him to sacrifice his son Isaac, whom Abraham dearly loves. Abraham obediently takes Isaac to the land of Moriah, where he builds an altar and prepares to sacrifice him. At the last moment, an angel of the Lord stops Abraham, acknowledging his unwavering faith. Instead, God provides a ram caught in a thicket to be sacrificed in Isaac's place. This story highlights Abraham's faith and obedience to God, and it underscores God's provision and faithfulness.
The ROYAL LAW - LAW OF MOSES in The King James Version of the Bible, Moses commands animal sacrifice in several passages throughout the books of Exodus, Leviticus, and Numbers. One significant example is found in Leviticus 1:1-3, where instructions for burnt offerings are given:
> "And the LORD called unto Moses, and spake unto him out of the tabernacle of the congregation, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, If any man of you bring an offering unto the LORD, ye shall bring your offering of the cattle, even of the herd, and of the flock. If his offering be a burnt sacrifice of the herd, let him offer a male without blemish: he shall offer it of his own voluntary will at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the LORD."
Jesus Christ fulfilled the law. This concept is rooted in various passages, most notably in Matthew 5:17, where Jesus Himself says:
"Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil."
The fulfillment of the law by Jesus is a fundamental belief in Christianity. It implies that through His life, teachings, and sacrificial death, Jesus met all the requirements of the Mosaic Law and the prophets, thereby bringing a new covenant between God and humanity. This perspective suggests that Jesus' fulfillment of the law transcends the literal commandments and embodies a deeper spiritual purpose.
Titus 3:7
“That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.”
King James Version (KJV)
“Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.”
King James Version (KJV)
When examining closely James 2:24 we find the word JUSTIFY = G1344 in context of James Chapter 2 is G1166 which is the EVIDENCE or PROOF of SALVATION; i.e., that which is shown and seen = FRUIT.
Matthew 7:20
“Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.”
King James Version (KJV)
Romans 3:22
“Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:”
King James Version (KJV)
Therefore James 2 is proof James is addressing saved individuals and not the unsaved. And therefore, the FRUIT referred to in Matthew 7:20 is GOOD FRUIT and NOT BAD.
Furthermore we have proof that in the context of numerous scriptures like Romans 5:1 Titus 3:7 and Galatians 2:16, the word JUSTIFICATION from G1344 is to be RENDERED RIGHTEOUS = RETURNED from your former state as NOW RIGHT or PERFECTLY ACCEPTABLE TO GOD.
Under the dispensation of the law:
Habakkuk 2:4
"Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith."
Under the dispensation of the age of grace (the church age):
Romans 1:17
"For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith."
Galatians 3:11
"But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith."
Hebrews 10:38
"Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him."
It is clear that we are saved by grace through faith, not by our works, and it is not our own faith (not our ability to believe or trust) but it is the faith of the Lord Jesus Christ that is a gift from Him to us (Ephesians 2:8-9). It is Grace given by the Lord Jesus Christ that He gives us His faith when we believe in the Gospel (1 Corinthians 15:1-4), and this is from faith to faith (Romans 1:17).
How does the righteousness from a person's own faith under the dispensation of the law (Habakkuk 2:4), as in the case of Abraham who believed God and it was counted unto him as righteousness (Romans 4:3, Galatians 3:6), compare to righteousness by the faith of the Lord Jesus Christ under the dispensation of the age of grace?
Romans 4:3-5
" 3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.
4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.
5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness."
Ephesians 2:8-9
"8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast."
Galatians 2:16
“Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.”
Galatians 2:20
“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”
I'll formulate it compactly here:
When we are saved (1 Corinthians 15:1-4), because we are Christ's, we are grafted into the seed of Abraham and heirs according to God's promise to Abraham (Romans 11:17, Galatians 3:7, Galatians 3:16, Galatians 3:29).
"And let me remind you that Habakkuk 2:4 is a PERFECT Type and Shadow of the MYSTERY - the same as Genesis Chapter 15 the Abrahamic Covenant."
Quote:
"Abrahamic Dispensation was of FAITH plus WORKS for sure and a precursor of the LAW which would follow."
As I'm reading over James 2 again, what emerges to me is the following:
- as we are saved by grace through faith of the Lord Jesus Christ, His grace rejoices against judgement of the law of the old testament (James 2:13)
- and then the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ teaches us the law of liberty (James 2:12)
- to receive the faith of the Lord Jesus Christ, having believed in the Gospel (1 Corinthians 15:1-4) cannot be only an agreement, but it must be with the whole heart.
