Rightly Dividing The Word of Truth is NOT a tool for the HYPER Dividers

 

2 Timothy 2:15

“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

rightly dividing means exactly What?

dividing

in the context of 2 Timothy 2:15 does NOT mean separate into parts as we see in Luke 12:13

 but rather from the word devise which means literally to think or study out to elaborate in the mind in the sense of transmitting by WILL.

Clearly this is NOT an exercise of dividing portions of the Bible into the correct Dispensations and what HYPER DISPENSATIONALISTS always use and do and so have I often in the past, but rather this is much deeper. This is an act of the HOLY SPIRIT Through RHEMA taking the LOGOS written word and SPLITTING SEPARATING the soul (will, feelings, emotions. human vain imagination, logic) to a RENEWED MIND which is governed by the Spirit.

This is a spiritual exercise of disciplining the mind (the faculty of our soul - will, volition) to be led by the spirit allowing the Spirit of Truth to guide us into all TRUTH. John 16:13, Romans 8:9.

And here in 2 Timothy 2:15 we see the word divide is 

Strongs G3718 which means to proceed on straight paths, hold a straight course the equivalent to doing right. To handle aright, to teach the truth directly and correctly. from the compound 

G3717 =  STRAIGHT AND UPRIGHT HONEST. LEVEL DIRECT, not CROOKED
