God doesn't want to heal your broken heart, He wants it crucified with Christ


Why do we continually hear, "I pray that God heal or Jesus heal your/his/her broken heart." When the Bible, "God" clearly says in Jeremiah 17:9 that "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?"  Healing something means to restore that thing to its original , healthy nature. A healthy human heart IS: our original soul, the fallen state of man which was born into sin, "through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death so spread to all men because all sinned. (Romans 3:23)."  "I was born into sin" (Psalms 51:5)"  

God doesn't want to heal your broken heart, He wants it crucified with Christ. He wants it dead. (Read Romans 6:1-11, Acts 17:11.) Once we die to self through the crucifixion of our old man, our nature, which is done by faith in asking Jesus to bring us to the cross (obviously this is not done physically) we are free in Jesus and truly have a restored new nature including a new heart. 


But praise God, we're called to be free in Jesus Christ and be completely restored, not by healing or restoring our fallen nature but to be COMPLETELY CHANGED, REBORN and this is done by coming to the cross and bringing ourselves to the cross, crucifying our old man our heart at the cross with Christ. Galatians 2:20 tells us clearly "WE ARE CRUCIFIED WITH CHRIST,... it is no longer us who lives but Jesus Christ who lives in us."  

So next time you hear, "Only God or Jesus can heal your broken heart." Tell that person, "God doesn't want my heart healed, he wants it CRUCIFIED with Christ and only then will I be completely reborn and free from this body of death. Amen."

Whatever you're going through Saint, remember that you need to bring it to the cross and crucify it. Your broken heart? Take it to the cross. Usually it is a heart issue. From out of the heart comes all evil.  (Matthew 15:19).  If you're reading this and you're not saved. Find Jesus now by confessing your sins and asking Jesus to be your savior and come to the cross and you'll truly find peace that passes all understanding. Amen
