Doctrine is: Learning The Teaching of the Word of God

Doctrine is: Learning The Teaching of the Word of God  ALL SCRIPTURE...

2 Timothy 3:16

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:”

King James Version (KJV)

When we understand that doctrine in the context of God's Word literally

means all of His word >2 Timothy 3:16 KJB > taught from the great teacher himself - Jesus Christ through His Spirit living IN us teaching us and guiding us in all truth > John 16:13 , we learn and teach the truth = Jesus Christ.

2 Timothy 3:17 and 4:1-4 applies and helps to read together with 2 Timothy 3:16 KJB .

So all perverted bibles will agree that their words are inspired but God has a sense of humor because when you get to Psalm 12:6,7 the wheels fall off. The New King James exposes itself as a fraud when it is compared to the King James in 2 Timothy 2;15.

Deuteronomy 32:2

My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass:”

King James Version (KJV)

The Hebrew word for DOCTRINE in Deuteronomy 32:2 KJB is leqach leh' kakh learning, teaching, insight. instruction. Strongs H3948 from root H3947 meaning that which is received mentally (instruction) taken hold of, seized, accepted.

3948. leqach 9 X in the KJB In the sense of being received, learning speech.  Could it be said that when God speaks we have received and then must learn.

Look at this strange definition for doctrine found in the Oxford English dictionary page 2271 for "precept":  "To seize beforehand." * See Precept meaning extended.

This is harmonized with the Hebrew word leqach Strongs 3948 meaning "being received,"  being is a gerund verb tense meaning it "continuous" non ending.  This is harmonized with Psalm 118:89, 119:52, and certainly here in 1 Peter 1:25 KJB:

1 Peter 1:25

“But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.”

What Doctrine is NOT:

Robert M. Bowman defines doctrine as the “[c]ontent of teaching intended to be accepted and believed as truth.” 1

Man's Carnal Mind and Vain Philosophy conjured up in Religion.  Yep, this includes your beloved Perverted Bible preacher reading Church Doctrine he/she calls God's word they have changed and added and deleted. Then for a final coup de gras sprinkled in their vain religious philosophy.

Read and meditate on Romans 8:7 KJB and Colossians 2:9 KJB and Jude 1:11 KJB.

Job 42:7
And it was so, that after the LORD had spoken these words unto Job, the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My wrath is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends: for ye have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job hath.

One of the most abused, misused words in the Laodicean church is the word DOCTRINE.

Man's philosophy teaches that there is a list of doctrine with only a few essential elements including TRINITY, The Divinity of Jesus (even though Trinity demotes Jesus to the 2nd Person), Salvation with conditions, even though most Protestant Religions say it is by Grace and of course the "other" so called Christian religions have their beloved and hallowed CREEDS that politely add conditions onto grace.

Smoking out Missionary Spencer Smith who is always telling us that "Doctrine Matters."

We've heard it thousands of times.  All false religion (doesn't matter if its Catholic, Baptist, Lutheran, Evangelical,) have their sacred cow doctrines labeled as creeds (Nicaean Creed, example) which is nothing more than the "tradition of man based on vain philosophy and NOT after Christ.  Colossians 2:8 KJB.

Examples:  The doctrine of the Trinity, The doctrine of Predestination, The doctrine of Soteriology (Salvation). The Doctrine of Balaam. * See comment in notes below about the NICOLAITANS and the Doctrine of Balaam.

AS

The NICOLAIATANS use doctrine.

Revelation 2:14,15 KJB:

Doctrine of Balaam using RELIGION in a self styled DOCTRINE and call it God's Word.   Doctrine of the Nicolaitans who place people under the BONDAGE of RELIGION using a series of creeds, codes and church rules.

A SYSTEM, supported by a “doctrine,” accompanied by the boasts of a prophetic illumination” (p.449 taken from Joseph Smith dictionary the founder of Later Saints - Mormons - the King Daddy of Cult RELIGION and of the modern day NICOLAIATANS - the pot calling the kettle black.

quote from the Mormon Latter day Saints on Doctrine: Note: Mormons are listed as Christians. They call themselves Christian and so do Catholics and Baptists call themselves Christian - adding their Religion along with the term Christian.

"Obedience to God will help you soar... Why do we have so many rules? Well, we call them “commandments,” and you probably know 10 of them. But we have a few more that come from modern revelation—God speaking today through a living prophet. Some rules may seem strict, but God is just looking out for us. For example, Latter-day Saints avoid alcohol and drugs. Choice is a big part of God’s plan, so we try not to do anything that would inhibit our decision-making ability or lead to addiction."

Apologetics research resources on religious cults and sects - A Biblical Guide To Orthodoxy And Heresy (apologeticsindex.org)

The orthodox principle. I call this principle the "orthodox" principle because it will be especially agreeable to Christians in the Orthodox (Eastern) tradition. According to this principle,

the creeds of the undivided church should be regarded as reliable expressions of the essential truths on which they speak.

This principle follows from the biblical teaching that the Christian faith was delivered once for all to the saints (Jude 3) and that the gates of Hades would not prevail against the church (Matt. 16:18). These texts (see also Matt. 28:20; John 14:16; Eph. 4:11-16) make it inconceivable that the whole church could establish as normative what is in fact aberrant or heretical.

Thus, the creeds formulated by the early church before it split into Eastern Orthodoxy, Roman Catholicism, and Protestantism, and accepted by all three branches of Christianity, should be regarded as reliable standards by which heresies may be exposed. Such creeds as the Nicene and Chalcedonian Creeds — which speak of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit as one God (the Trinity), and of Jesus Christ as uniquely God and man (the Incarnation) — expressed the faith of all Christians when they were written, and have unified all Christians against heresy for centuries. They are therefore deserving of respect and should be honored as tools for identifying and exposing heresy."  End Quote.

Note: Surprisingly the author uses the King James Bible. But NOTE that not once does the author discuss the use of perverted translations in the "church building operations" that claim to follow orthodoxy in their perverted translation.  This alone is monumental exposure of DOCTRINE as misused in the church operations (Laodicean Church).

Notes:

The "law of first-mention" is the principle in the interpretation of Scripture which states that the first mention or occurrence of a subject in Scripture establishes an unchangeable pattern, with that subject remaining unchanged in the mind of God throughout Scripture. Caution: We must always use other tools in proper hermeneutics namely the major 3: CONTEXT, EXGESIS (grammar, syntax, vocabulary) and SCRIPTURE HARMONIZED WITH SCRIPTURE.

Doctrine of Balaam:

A mysterious group of wicked religious imposters were the “Nicolaitans.” Who were they? What did they teach? Do they still exist today? Why should they even concern you? In the warnings to the seven churches of Revelation, we are told to beware of them. Why are they dangerous and how would you recognize them, today?
In Revelation, chapter 2, we read of an enigmatic sect or group called the Nicolaitans who post a great threat to the churches of God. Jesus says to the Ephesus church: “But this you have, that you hate the DEEDS of the Nicolaitans, which I also HATE” (Rev.2:6). Notice that they hated and rejected the doctrines, works, and doctrines of the “Nicolaitans.”
The Ephesus church was historically a type or antitype of the first and second century churches of God – essentially, the first generation of the church and their early descendants. But Christ said, “He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to [all] the churches” (Rev 2:7).
Then, to the Pergamos church, who existed in a succeeding period of the church, Jesus declares again: “But I have a few things against you, because you have there those who hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling block before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit sexual immorality. Thus [i.e. therefore] you also have those who hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate. REPENT, or else I will come to you quickly and fight against them with the sword of My mouth” (vs.14-16).
Doctrine of Balaam
Notice that their teachings are comparable or the same as the doctrine of Balaam, the arch apostate deceiver and prophet who tried to divine magic against Israel when they came out of Egypt. When God would not allow him to place a curse on Israel, he later taught the Midianites and their allies to “seduce” Israel from their faithfulness to God, by sending their daughters and wives to use their sexual charms on them, and to entice them to commit immorality and the partake of pagan festivities and idolatrous worship, combining paganism with the worship of God – something which God abominates and thoroughly detests! The blending of the truth of God with paganism and wicked pagan festivals and practices is an abhorrence to God. It is called religious “syncretism.”
The word “Nicolaitans,” in Greek, means “followers of Nicolas.” The name “Nicolas” means “victor of the people.”
Peloubet’s Bible Dictionary says of them, “They seem to have held that it was lawful to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit the immoral excesses of the heathen, in opposition to the decree of the Church rendered in Acts 15:20, 29. Mingling themselves in the orgies of idolatrous feasts, they brought the impurities of those feasts into the meetings of the Christian Church. And all this was done, it must be remembered, not simply as an indulgence of appetite, but as a part of a SYSTEM, supported by a “doctrine,” accompanied by the boasts of a prophetic illumination” (p.449).
Early Church Syncretism
The Nicolaitans, therefore, were the early Christian-pagan syncretists, the false teachers that crept into the church, who disguised themselves as followers of Christ – who professed to be His ministers and servants – but who led the people astray.
Peter wrote of them, saying, “But there were also false prophets among the people [such as Balaam], even as there will be FALSE TEACHERS among you, who will secretly bring in DESTRUCTIVE HERESIES, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed” – by the world around, which will paint all true Christians with the same brushstroke, as being corrupt, immoral, and evil, because of the shenanigans and wicked works of these “Nicolaitans” or false Christians, false teachers who claim to represent Messiah and His truth (II Pet.2:1-2).
Peter goes on, “By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words” (v.2). He says of them, that they “despise authority. They are presumptuous, self-willed,” and like brutish beasts “speak evil of the things they do not understand” (verse10, 12). “They are spots and blemishes [in the churches], carousing in their own deceptions while they feast with you . . . They have a heart trained in covetous practices, and are accursed children. They have forsaken the right way and gone astray, FOLLOWING THE WAY OF BALAAM the son of Beor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness” (verses 13-15).
These are the ‘Nicolaitans.” Halley’s Bible Handbook tells us of them, “Sexual vice was actually a part of heathen worship, and recognized as a proper thing in heathen festivals. Priestesses of Diana and kindred deities were public prostitutes. The thing had been a troublesome question for Gentile churches from the start. . . Meantime great multitudes of heathen had become Christians, and had carried some of their old ideas into their new religion. . . Naturally there were all sorts of attempts to harmonize these heathen practices with the Christian religion. Many professing Christian teachers, claiming inspiration from God, were advocating the right to free participation in heathen immoralities. In Ephesus, the Christian pastors, as a body, excluded such teachers. But in Pergamum and Thyatira, while we are not to think that the main body of pastors held such teachings, yet they tolerated within their ranks those who did” (p.694).

Essential doctrines of the Christian Faith

WHAT ARE DOCTRINES?

The word doctrine comes from the Greek word didache: “teaching.” A doctrine is a belief (or system of beliefs) accepted as authoritative.

Robert M. Bowman defines doctrine as the “[c]ontent of teaching intended to be accepted and believed as truth.” 1

In most religions, certain doctrines are considered essential to the belief system.

These central, or key doctrines form the primary basis of the belief system. Denial of one or more of these essential doctrines would compromise the religion. Someone who denies one or more central doctrines would therefore not be accepted as a genuine follower of that faith.

ORTHODOXY VS. HERESY

In Christianity, the term orthodoxy refers to “The body of essential biblical teachings. Those who embrace them should be accepted as Christians.” 2The opposite of orthodoxy is heresy, “[d]octrine which is erroneous in such a way that Christians must divide themselves as a church from all who teach or accept it; those adhering to heresy are assumed to be lost, although Christians are unable to make definitive judgments on this matter.” 3

• Individuals who – while claiming to be Christians – reject one of more central doctrines of the Christian faith are considered heretics.

• Groups which reject one of more essential doctrines while claiming to represent Christianity, are considered – theologically – cults of Christianity (Note the difference between theological and sociological definitions of the term ‘cult.’)

ESSENTIAL DOCTRINES OF THE CHRISTIAN FAITH

In his book, “Unmasking The Cults” – which addresses cults of Christianity (as defined by theology),

Dr. Alan W. Gomes writes,
Central doctrines of the Christian faith are those doctrines that make the Christian faith Christian and not something else. The meaning of the expression "Christian faith" is not like a wax nose, which can be twisted to mean whatever the speaker wants it to mean.
The Christian faith is a definite system of beliefs with definite content (Jude 3)
Certain Christian doctrines constitute the core of the faith. Central doctrines include the Trinity, the deity of Christ, the bodily resurrection, the atoning work of Christ on the cross, and salvation by grace through faith. These doctrines so comprise the essence of the Christian faith that to remove any of them is to make the belief system non-Christian.
Scripture teaches that the beliefs mentioned above are of central importance (e.g., Matt. 28:19; John 8:24; 1 Cor. 15; Eph. 2:8-10).
Because these central doctrines define the character of Christianity, one cannot be saved and deny these.
Central doctrines should not be confused with peripheral issues, about which Christians may legitimately disagree.

Peripheral (i.e. non-essential) doctrines include such issues as the timing of the tribulation, the method of baptism, or the structure of church government. For example, one can be wrong about the identity of "the spirits in prison" 1 Peter 3:19) or about the timing of the rapture and still go to heaven, but one cannot deny salvation by grace or the deity of Christ (John 8:24) and be saved.
All Christian denominations — whether Roman Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, or Protestant — agree on the essential core. The relatively minor disagreements between genuinely Christian denominations, then, cannot be used to argue that there is no objectively recognized core of fundamental doctrine which constitutes the Christian faith.
