Prometheus contains such a huge amount of mythic resonance that it effectively obscures a more conventional plot.
Let's begin with the eponymous titan himself, Prometheus. He was a wise and benevolent entity who created mankind in the first place, forming the first humans from clay. The Gods were more or less okay with that, until Prometheus gave them fire. This was a big no-no, as fire was supposed to be the exclusive property of the Gods. As punishment, Prometheus was chained to a rock and condemned to have his liver ripped out and eaten every day by an eagle. (His liver magically grew back, in case you were wondering.)
Fix that image in your mind, please: the giver of life, with his abdomen torn open. We'll be coming back to it many times in the course of this article.
The ethos of the titan Prometheus is one of willing and necessary sacrifice for life's sake. That's a pattern we see replicated throughout the ancient world. J G Frazer wrote his lengthy anthropological study, The Golden Bough, around the idea of the Dying God - a lifegiver who voluntarily dies for the sake of the people. It was incumbent upon the King to die at the right and proper time, because that was what heaven demanded, and fertility would not ensue if he did not do his royal duty of dying.
Can we find a God in human history who creates plant life through his own death, and who is associated with a river? It's not difficult to find several, but the most obvious candidate is Osiris, the epitome of all the Frazerian 'Dying Gods'.
And we wouldn't be amiss in seeing the first of the movie's many Christian allegories in this scene, either. The Engineer removes his cloak before the ceremony, and hesitates before drinking the cupful of genetic solvent; he may well have been thinking 'If it be Thy will, let this cup pass from me.'
So, we know something about the Engineers, a founding principle laid down in the very first scene: acceptance of death, up to and including self-sacrifice, is right and proper in the creation of life. Prometheus, Osiris, John Barleycorn, and of course the Jesus of Christianity are all supposed to embody this same principle. It is held up as one of the most enduring human concepts of what it means to be 'good'.
Seen in this light, the perplexing obscurity of the rest of the film yields to an examination of the interwoven themes of sacrifice, creation, and preservation of life.
The crew of the Prometheus discover an ancient chamber, presided over by a brooding solemn face, in which urns of the same black substance are kept. A mural on the wall presents an image which, if you did as I asked earlier on, you will recognize instantly: the lifegiver with his abdomen torn open. Go and look at it here to refresh your memory. Note the serenity on the Engineer's face here.
From the Engineers' perspective, so long as humans retained that notion of self-sacrifice as central, we weren't entirely beyond redemption. .

Movies.com: We had heard it was scripted that the Engineers were targeting our planet for destruction because we had crucified one of their representatives, and that Jesus Christ might have been an alien. Was that ever considered?

But if you look at it as an “our children are misbehaving down there” scenario, there are moments where it looks like we’ve gone out of control, running around with armor and skirts, which of course would be the Roman Empire. Yeah. The reason the Engineers don't like us any more is that they made us a Space Jesus, and we broke him. That's RIDLEY SCOTT.
So, imagine poor crucified Jesus, a fresh spear wound in his side. Oh, hey, there's the 'lifegiver with his abdomen torn open' motif again. That's three times now: Prometheus, Engineer mural, Jesus Christ. And I don't think I have to mention the 'sacrifice in the interest of giving life' bit again, do I?
So how did our (in the context of the film) terrible murderous act of crucifixion end up wiping out all but one of the Engineers back on LV-223? Presumably through the black slime, which evidently models its behaviour on the user's mental state. Create unselfishly, accepting self-destruction as the cost, and the black stuff engenders fertile life. But expose the potent black slimy stuff to the thoughts and emotions of flawed humanity, and 'the sleep of reason produces monsters'. We never see the threat that the Engineers were fleeing from, we never see them killed other than accidentally (decapitation by door), and we see no remaining trace of whatever killed them. Either it left a long time ago, or it reverted to inert black slime, waiting for a human mind to reactivate it.
Shaw's comment when the urn chamber is entered - 'we've changed the atmosphere in the room' - is deceptively informative. The psychic atmosphere has changed, because humans - tainted, Space Jesus-killing humans - are present. The slime begins to engender new life, drawing not from a self-sacrificing Engineer but from human hunger for knowledge, for more life, for more everything. Little wonder, then, that it takes serpent-like form. The symbolism of a corrupting serpent, turning men into beasts, is pretty unmistakable." end quote.
Ask you million dollar question? Since the fallen angels happened before Jesus' birth to Mary. How did Satan copycat Jesus creating man and then giving himself as a sacrifice for man BEFORE when the Greek demigod Prometheus created man and sacrificed his life for man and the Egyptian god Osiris ???
Satan would have to have known from the Genesis 3:15 thar Jesus would have to be the sacrifice.

The moment the first pieces of the Black Rock City Temple cross the threshold onto the playa, it becomes part of the living history of the earth upon which it will soon stand. Once constructed, its healing energies embrace all those seeking reflection, resolution, release, and renewal.
During the event, the Temple Guardians help provide a safe space so that everyone may have the experience and expression they need at the Temple. In return, a respectful consideration of the space, the land, and its people is asked of those visiting. Human Remains at the Temple
The Temple sits among our neighbors, the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe, who celebrate alongside us as we honor our loved ones in this venerable healing space. As inhabitants and caretakers of this land for centuries, the Paiute believe that leaving non-native human remains on native land adversely affects the living spirits within the Lake and Black Rock Desert. In the Paiute community, a person’s energy remains in their ashes. The Tribe takes great care in ensuring that this energy is protected and honored up to and including their final placement. Out of respect to the Paiute people and culture, it is asked that Black Rock City participants refrain from leaving cremated human remains at the Temple.
We are thus asked to find alternative ways to pay tribute to loved ones without leaving their remains at the Temple. One suggested option is to bring ashes in to absorb the Temple’s energy and embrace, and then remove them before the burn.

Sunday Pre-Burn Closing Hours
The Temple will stop receiving visitors at dawn on the Sunday before Labor Day, to safely secure the perimeter. Temple Guardian Offering Carriers will be on hand to place offerings on behalf of those who may need assistance after the Temple has closed. Please ask any Guardian standing at the perimeter to direct you.
The Temple closes at sunrise Sunday morning so that the Temple structure can be prepared for a safe burn. You are still welcome to view the Temple from beyond the perimeter during this time. The Temple burn is scheduled for 8pm PT on Sunday.
Gentle Reminders
Be respectful of photography at the Temple, as offerings are personal. YOU MUST ASK FOR CONSENT BEFORE DOCUMENTING SOMEONE’S EXPERIENCE IN THE TEMPLE. Most participants prefer to not have their tributes photographed, nor themselves photographed in a vulnerable moment.
Unlike much of the art on the playa, the Temple is not meant for climbing. It is structurally built to support offerings during the week, but equally constructed for its deliberate safe collapse. Do not climb.
Please refrain from smoking, smudging, or placing candles or incense inside the Temple. This will help ensure the Temple, its participants and their offerings remain safe until Sunday’s burn.

The meaning of the number eleven is important in that it can symbolize disorder, chaos and judgment. In the Bible, 11 is used twenty-four times and "11th" can be found 19 times.
Coming after 10 (which represents law and responsibility), eleven (11) represents the opposite, which is the irresponsibility of breaking the Law, which brings disorder and judgment.
In Genesis 11, men rebelled against God and built the tower of Babel. He judged them by confusing their language, resulting in chaos. Jehoiakim, one of the last kings over Judah, ruled for eleven years (609 to 598 B.C.). His successor, King Jehoiachin, rules for only three months before the Babylonians take control of Jerusalem.
Number 11 and Edom
There are eleven dukes of Edom (Edom was another name for Esau, Jacob's brother) in the Bible. Although closely related to the house of Israel, a bitter hatred existed between the two peoples. The dukes, or chiefs, of Edom were Timnah, Alvah, Jetheth, Aholibamah, Elah, Pinon, Kenaz, Teman, Mibzar, Magdiel, and Iram (Genesis 36:40 - 43).

Scripture lists at least 11 kings or high-ranking officials who were offended when they were told the truth by one of God's servants. The men who offended themselves included the Pharaoh of Egypt (Exodus 10:28) and King Balak of Moab (Numbers 24:10). Kings Jeroboam (1Kings 13:4) and Ahab (1Kings 22:27) of Israel also got upset when told the truth.
Jesus was about 33 years (a multiple of eleven) when he died ('cut off' in Daniel 9:26) for the sins of mankind. The eleventh book, found in most versions of Scripture, is 1Kings. Moses was commanded to make 11 curtains for the tabernacle in the wilderness (Exodus 26:7 - 8).
Meaning of Numbers: The Number 22
The number 22, which is double eleven (which symbolizes disorder and chaos), can mean a concentration of disorganization. Jeroboam I, the very first king of Israel after the kingdom split in two in 930 B.C., reigned for 22 official years (21 actual years from 930 to 909 B.C.).
The Hebrew alphabet is made up of 22 letters, which are used to compose the Word of God. The word of God is called a lamp (Psalms 119:105), thus it is the light by which we are to live.
The word light is found 264 times in the Bible. When 264 is divided by 12 (divine authority) we have twenty-two, which represents light.
God created 22 things in the six days of creation. There are twenty-two books in the Aaronic (Levitical) Old Testament, which is the light of God for Israel. There are twenty-two generations from Adam to Jacob.

Dream Warning of the Beginning of the End

I awoke from a stark dream this morning at 3:45 AM (3+4+5 = 12 Divine Government) local on 5/21/2023, 5= Grace, 21 = Judgments of Revelation; 2023 = Our current year.
In this very short but shocking dream I heard the words, "Go to the Beginning of The Word (Genesis) and write down the 3rd word. Go to the beginning of the end of the Word (Revelation) and write down the 3rd word. Now, go and do the same for the 6th word in both. (Genesis and Revelation)"
I immediately woke up and verbally repeated the dream so I would not forget and then got up and wrote down the dream to make sure I would not forget. I sensed this was from the Holy Spirit and had that strong sense of urgency of warning those who are lost and to encourage the Saints. This was similar to the dream I had back in 2013, ten years ago. The number 10 in the Bible indicates God's divine order, completion and judgment reflecting God's authority and governmental rule over the affairs of mankind. Here is what I found and ask the Saints please check and verify:
"Beginning of the which..."
Analysis: In Genesis I found the 3rd word as "Beginning". I went to Revelation and found the 3rd word as "OF". I repeated the same for the 6th word and found: "The" and "which". It was clear that the dream was pointing to the end which is the book of Revelation. Note: 3 + 6 = 9 which means JUDGMENT. This was used twice (2) meaning a witness thereof. It all ends here folks. The final word, "which" is in Revelation pointing to this is what is beginning. Which is a determiner and pronoun used to specify or identify a noun, that being REVELATION.
We would read as follows: The Beginning of the Revelation!
Interpretation: WARNING: We are in the Beginning of the END! I strongly believe God is telling his children to look up because we are "soon in God's time but we are now soon to go into and begin the end which is Revelation (the end of this age meaning the Saints will soon be Raptured and the 7-year Tribulation begin.

These are the snapshots from Burning Man, which,
0:11if you don't know, is the notorious mega cultural event
0:15held in the desert of Nevada, which they call Black Rock City.
0:20They build stuff.
0:21They burn stuff.
0:22And over the timespan of nine days, these group of people live together
0:27and they function together around the ten core principles of radical
0:32inclusion, gifting, commodification, radical self-reliance,
0:37radical self-expression, communal effort, civic responsibility,
0:42leaving no trace participation and immediacy.
0:50But it's been growing by the thousands every single year.
0:54And this year it held about 80,000 people.
0:58But throughout Burning Man's history, there's been multiple accidents,
1:02deaths, arrests, as well as some really horrific stories of sexual assault.
1:08And in spite of their principle of radical inclusion,
1:12the desert environment doesn't really seem exactly
1:15like the most hospitable place for people with mobility issues.
1:19Some of the installation seemed to not meet any kind of safety
1:23regulation, and in fact, throughout its history there's
1:27been concern run ins with law enforcement and the Bureau of Land Management.
1:31And with this type of massive growth every year.
1:36They've been constantly dealing with functional concerns,
1:39traffic safety concerns, problems with scale and accessibility.
1:43So how has this event continued on
1:47for so long and why is it growing so fast
1:50and how did it go from this to this?
These principles construct a paganistic morality built around a bevy of mutually exclusive notions. For example, Burning Man is about "radical inclusion... No prerequisites exist for participation in our community." But Burning Man is also "devoted to acts of gift giving." Unfortunately, without some form of mutuality, giving alone cannot form the basis of a functioning society, even temporarily. All of which means that Burning Man features social pressure to ostracize free-riders -- a tragic violation of the radical inclusion principle.
Burning Man values "radical self-expression," which cannot be defined by anyone other "than the individual or a collaborating group." But such radical self-expression quickly comes into conflict with Burning Man's call for "civic responsibility," which surely encroaches on the unlimited right to self-expression. Burning Man also values "immediacy," which it calls "the most important touchstone of value in our culture." But Burning Man also calls for the community to "clean up after ourselves," which runs directly counter to the premise of immediacy.
All of this would be sheer countercultural nonsense, except for one perverse fact: The counterculture has now become the culture. This accounts for the fact that Burning Man now seems tired and played out, less transgressive than wearied. The age of Burning Man attendees has increased over the past decade (average age in 2013 was 32, compared to 37 just nine years later); so has the average income (in 2006, 14% of Burners listed their personal income at above $100,000, compared to 27.4% by 2016). Influencers now show up at Burning Man to sell Popeye's Spicy Chicken; Elon Musk, Paris Hilton and Mark Zuckerberg have shown up.
And herein lies the problem for the broader American culture. Our elite class used to be inculcated in the same set of baseline values as "normal" Americans: John D. Rockefeller was a regular churchgoer; so was Cornelius Vanderbilt. Today, our elites participate in drug-fueled binges in the desert -- or at least wish to appear as though they do. Throughout the 1930s, even the poorest Americans aspired to dress well, wearing suits even on the breadlines. Today, even the richest Americans dress as though they shop at Salvation Army.
When elites promulgate countercultural garbage that eats at the roots of fundamental societal institutions, societal bonds dissolve. Ironically, that dissolution occurs first at the lowest rungs of the income ladder: As Charles Murray points out, "The belief that being a good American involved behaving in certain kinds of ways, and that the nation itself relied upon a certain kind of people in order to succeed, had begun to fade and has not revived." In fact, those who live out lives of good decision-making are, all too often, embarrassed of their good choices. To promote those choices might seem "judgmental."
That is the real tragedy of Burning Man: its mainstreaming. Every society has its oddball behaviors. Only sick societies incentivize their imitation.
