King James Version (KJV)

Dear Daniel,

I AM LITERALLY PRAYING NOW YOUR EYES BE OPENED.

I stopped everything I was doing today and devoted my entire morning - most of this day preparing a response because of the "extremely critical" nature of what's going on here and the damage that Bryan Denlinger has done including the many years of false teaching you've heard from the Apostate Wolves and Judaizizers that have added in the LAW with GRACE. There was a case where I spent several months counselling a victim of Bryan Denlinger. Please, this is very serious...

I have also asked Cameron Moshfegh, in Switzerland today to set aside whatever he had planned today to give this top priority and I have also sent this to another very solid bible student to review for a post analysis.

I will be using this all for a blog post to thoroughly study this as a CASE STUDY for the Body of Christ to learn as an example.
Your case is extremely similar to mine whereby I had spent several weeks working on a study on the TREE of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. When I posted it, Cameron Moshfegh sent me a very strong email rebuking my work as non doctrinal and dangerous. I was at first offended and asked him to back up his thoughts in writing with solid bible doctrine KJV.
He then produced his work, "The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil" which I have links attached here below.
I had a moment of broken contrition realizing my error and removed my "brilliant study" which was actually garbage after review.
I am not trying to pick on you or single you out... GOD FORBID. I am compelled IN CHARITY (See my study on Charity) to correct you.

Here is my response to your email after I just received a very thorough review from Cameron Moshfegh.

Here is response from Daniel:

I’m still a baby in the faith, I was saved in late 2023, early 2024. I don’t remember the specific date, but certainly remember the event and calling on the Lord and repentance. I was transformed and a new creature, even though I didn’t have all the Biblical words to describe it.

I’ve been on fire for the Lord and hungry for his word ever since and I’m reading or listening to the Bible every day along with daily prayer. I listen to your videos and have been learning a lot from you.

I’m learning to rightly divide the word as well, but I’m still pretty early in that journey. Thanks for pointing out Bryan, I’m learning to be skeptical of pretty much everyone online and to make sure I compare others teachings with scripture and prayer.

I’ve hidden all the videos on the song Sanctify Me until I can work it out with fear and trembling the right way to communicate in the song, if there even is a way. I will go through your study together with my wife so we can better understand the issue that you have with it and correct it. I know the Lord wanted me to look at this anyway, because as I’ve progressed I had already been thinking that maybe something was off on that one or even the others that I’ve written and published. From what I’ve heard from you and others online I don’t think my belief on salvation/justification/sanctification is different, although there are many different ways that other teachers, pastors, etc… are describing it. So I believe my heart is right, but maybe the words need to be changed.

I don’t want to share false gospel, but the song is not saying that I believe in works based salvation. I believe that upon salvation that we are justified and sanctified by Jesus Christ’s finished work on the cross. However after that salvation event, we are to be progressively sanctified as a life long process with the Holy Ghost working within us.

I don’t believe there’s anything that I can do in the flesh that will please God or earn my salvation, it’s a free gift by His grace and Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life. The song was me describing my salvation event and then almost a prayer in a sort asking that God will continue to work in me and build me up, give me strength, give knowledge of His word (which I know he will because that’s what His word says) that I may glorify Him while still in the flesh here on earth. I know the flesh is filthy rags, but it seems most of the “believers” I’ve listened to have the same experience of wanting to progressively be more like Christ (even though it’s not possible), which He is in us and because He’s in us then we progressively work out our salvation with fear and trembling in the flesh, which I’ve only heard being referred to as progressive sanctification.

“Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.”

‭‭John‬ ‭17‬:‭17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I know now that this verse is a different dispensation, however all scripture if profitable, so this is likely where the progressive sanctification idea comes from and influenced the wording of my lyrics.

“Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the LORD your God. And ye shall keep my statutes, and do them: I am the LORD which sanctify you.”

‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭20‬:‭7‬-‭8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Respectfully,

Daniel

RESPONSE:

Commentary from brother Cameron Moshfegh, Quote:

“Philippians 2:12 needs to be harmonized here.

I can see a snare here that Daniel Kent is struggling with. He calls it "progressive sanctification". It is the vicious cycle of trying to achieve the impossible, but knowing that one could never succeed (Romans 7:14-23). This is rooted in doubts, which are created by the carnal mind because the carnal mind is enmity against God (Romans 8:7). Romans 7:24-25 provides the solution in that it is our mind that serves the law of God, but our flesh serves the law of sin. That is we have the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16). Notice in Romans 7:24-25 that Paul thanks God, but he does not pray to God for it to be achieved for himself, because it already has been achieved for himself. And it has been achieved because he is saved.

In Romans 7:14-25 it becomes clear how our own sanctification is not something we pray for but has already been achieved and yet is a life-long process, that is our work in the Lord Jesus Christ, which connects with Philippians 2:12, Galatians 2:16,20, John 17, and Hebrews 10:10. This is all in the age of grace, as we are no longer under the law because Jesus Christ has fulfilled the law and redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us (Galatians 3:13).

Leviticus 20:7-8 is speaking of sanctification under the law of the Old Testament.”

Response from Andrew Sheets, quote:

Thank you Daniel. As I explained in my Blog and video above, we must read ALL scripture and NOT cherry pick. We also must fully understand the terminology we throw around and since you’re using your gifted voice and heart for the Lord to minister to others on a platform you’re not in PRIVATE BUT A PUBLIC PLATFORM. .. IF you want to use God’s word then please do not deviate by anything of your own interpretation.

I pray you watched the video and read my blog for the background. I am not going to waste your time nor mine going over this again.

Perhaps if we look at these scriptures, this might shed more light on this question of SANCTIFICATION. Please bear in mind that ALL false teachers twist and mix JUSTIFICATION and SANCTIFICATION and end up preaching another Gospel. It is a very slippery slope.
1 Corinthians 6:11

“And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.”

King James Version (KJV)

In 1 Corinthians 6:11 something amazing is happening. When we carefully study the pronouns (which most do not understand and call them archaic yet are more descriptive than today's modern English and I believe German and Spanish for example do a better job) we see that Paul is particularly concerned about "some" of the Corinthians for example the man that was involved with his mother.

Thou: Always second-person singular in the nominative case (used as the subject of a sentence). It addresses one individual informally or intimately (e.g., God addressing a person, or a superior to an inferior). Example: "Thou art the man" (2 Samuel 12:7 KJV), where God (through Nathan) addresses King David alone.

Thee: The objective form of "thou" (used as the object of a verb or preposition). Still singular. Example: "The Lord bless thee" (Numbers 6:24 KJV), addressing a single person.

Thy/Thine: Possessive forms of "thou" (singular). "Thy" is used before consonants (e.g., "thy faith"), and "thine" before vowels or as a standalone (e.g., "thine eyes," "the kingdom is thine").

Ye: Second-person plural in the nominative case (subject). It addresses a group, such as a crowd, congregation, or multiple people. In the KJV, it's almost exclusively plural, though Early Modern English sometimes used it for formal singular address (like French "vous").

Example: "Ye are the light of the world" (Matthew 5:14 KJV), where Jesus addresses his disciples as a group.
You: Second-person plural in the objective case (object). It addresses a group. Example: "I thank my God always on your behalf" (1 Corinthians 1:4 KJV), where Paul speaks to the entire Corinthian church.

Your/Yours: Possessive forms for plural (group ownership). Example: "Your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world" (Romans 1:8 KJV).

What I'm saying here is Paul in 1 Corinthians 6:11 KJV is distinguishing 2 groups by using you (some of YOU) and ye (but YE are sanctified).
My point is anyone who has not fully embraced Sanctification as accomplished by the FAITH OF JESUS CHRIST and try to work out their salvation through that FAITH is continually working in the FLESH.

Paul continually addressed this with those who kept falling prey to false teachers. Read especially Galatians 3:1 KJB. And calling out the Corinthians for still drinking milk. 1 Corinthians 3:2-8 KJB. And many more examples.

We find here a paradox between 1 Corinthians 6:11 and 1 Thessalonians 5:23 KJV

1 Thessalonians 5:23

“And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

King James Version (KJV)

It is clear that in 1 Thessalonians 5:23 Paul is praying for those who might be subject to faltering for whatever reason. When we carefully read 1 Thessalonians 5:14 it is clear Paul is speaking to his brethren who are mature and in leadership to help. Therefore 1 Thessalonians 5:23 is again here addressing those among the Brethren as he singles out in 1 Corinthians 6:11 KJV.

Nowhere in scripture have the Apostles after Pentecost and especially Paul ask Jesus Christ to SANCTIFY them.

REPEAT
Nowhere in scripture have the Apostles after Pentecost and especially Paul ask Jesus Christ to SANCTIFY them.

But rather it is clear that there is that “group” that just does not seem to get it right and are NOT bearing fruit. This is whom Paul and the other disciples were concerned about.

Please see my detailed study on FRUIT INSPECTION and about Judging and Marking corrupt fruit and what BELIEVE REALLY MEANS:

THE VERY ESSENCE OF THIS STUDY IS BACK TO SQUARE ONE: WE MUST KNOW WHO JESUS CHRIST IS AND WE MUST KNOW WHO WE ARE IN HIM:

IF WE ARE TRULY SAVED WE ARE ANOINTED AS PRIESTS and intercede for others who are struggling. Please stop here and read and meditate on 1 Thessalonians 5:14 and 15 and see what happens to them allowing the man in their congregation who was in incest with with his mother in the Church of Corinth. 1 Corinthians 5:1 KJV.

Study carefully my Blogs as you study these scriptures in the CONTEXT of KNOWING WHO WE ARE IN JESUS CHRIST I did a 7 part study on the Davidic Prophecies and Our Identity in Jesus Christ.

2 Timothy 2:12 KJV, Revelation 1:6, 5:10, 12:5, 20:6 KJV

Hebrews 10:10 KJV: "we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all"). Thus, the law's shadows give way to the substance in Christ. Tragically the Laodicean church HYPER DISPENSATIONALISTS have removed Hebrews and Revelation from the Church. Make no mistake, Hebrews was written by Paul and the SHOCK and AWE of Hebrews is a wake up call to the Church of Laodicea but they will NOT wake up. So I beg you to wake up.

I am a licensed teacher certified in ESL (English as second Language and Spanish as a second Language) . I have studied grammar with rigor. You must repeat - you MUST STUDY the grammar of WE ARE SANCTIFIED. Focus in your independent study on the past participle and the simple past meaning of a verb. HINT: IT IS ACCOMPLISHED ALREADY. I have repeated this over and over again in my studies.

It is extremely pagan and in works to continually ask Jesus to do what he has done (repeat) done finished already. done. over. all the wicked videos i sent you about REPENT Catholics, Fake Christians and that DEMON CULT SINGING SANCTIFY ME OVER AND OVER AGAIN.

Now regarding your use of Leviticus. You’re in the law AND DO NOT EVEN REALIZE IT even though you profess you know GRACE but your ACTIONS SPEAK MUCH LOUDER... However, this is a good thing for this lesson because this is where we get to the heart of this matter.

The role of the PRIEST in the old testament law examining Exodus 13:2. KJV sanctity is H6942: Focus on role of Priest to consecrate SET APART Focus on ORDAIN. Question when comparing the old testament KJV and looking at the new testament KJV do we ever see a priest or an apostle asking god to sanctify them personally or do they know they have been called and ordained. focus on the word ORDAIN:

Very very few get this. Most have no idea of what’s happening. IF you want to stay awake at night in holy terror, read carefully and study Isaiah Chapter 6 and 14. Then go to the Kingdom Parables of Matthew 13. Then go read why Paul is hated so much today and overlooked and misquoted. The problem today is PEOPLE DO NOT KNOW HOW TO STUDY and or understand the meaning of DOCTRINE.

Additional study notes to save me time I entered by blog notes and King James only here to sanctify. Here is a summary of my studies comparing our role as priests in this dispensation of grace compared to the old testament. FOCUS on why we AS PRIESTS DO NOT ASK TO BE SANCTIFIED but rather pray for those who are walking in the flesh:

The Meaning of "Sanctify" (Qadash, H6942) in Exodus 13:2

The word "sanctify" here is qadash, a primitive Hebrew root meaning to be or make clean, ceremonially or morally—to consecrate, dedicate, appoint, hallow, or set apart as holy for divine use. It carries the weight of separation: taking something common and rendering it exclusively for the LORD, free from defilement. In this verse, the LORD commands the sanctification of all firstborn males—human and animal—as a perpetual ordinance. They are "set apart" unto Him because "it is mine," signifying ownership and devotion. For beasts, this meant sacrifice or redemption (Exodus 13:13); for human firstborn, it involved redemption through a substitute offering or service to God (Numbers 3:12-13, where the Levites replace the firstborn as set apart for temple duties).

This act of qadash is not mere ritual; it echoes God's own sanctification of the Sabbath (Genesis 2:3 KJV: "and sanctified it"), setting it apart as holy. It demands purity, for anything sanctified must be undefiled to approach the LORD's presence, lest judgment fall (as in Leviticus 10:1-3, where Nadab and Abihu perished for unholy fire).

My Role as Priest: To Consecrate and Set Apart

As a priest, my primary duty under the law is to facilitate this consecration—to act as the intermediary who performs the rites that set apart people, places, and things for holy service. The LORD does not sanctify in isolation; He appoints us priests to execute His commands with precision, using anointing oil, blood, water, and offerings to mark the separation.

Consecration in Practice: In Exodus 29:1-37 KJV, the LORD details our own ordination: "This is the thing that thou shalt do unto them to hallow them, to minister unto me in the priest's office" (v. 1). We are washed with water, clothed in sacred garments, anointed with oil, and sprinkled with blood from sacrifices. This "hallows" or consecrates us (qadash again), setting us apart from the common people. Without this, we cannot approach the altar or handle holy things. My role extends to consecrating others: For the firstborn in Exodus 13:2, priests like me would oversee their redemption (Numbers 18:15-16 KJV), ensuring they are set apart through payment of five shekels or substitution, thus fulfilling the LORD's claim.

Focus on Setting Apart: Qadash emphasizes distinction—removing from profane use and dedicating to God. As priest, I set apart the tabernacle (Exodus 40:9-11 KJV: "thou shalt anoint the tabernacle... and sanctify it"), offerings (Leviticus 27:14-28), and even the people for special vows or feasts (e.g., Joshua 3:5 KJV: "Sanctify yourselves"). This involves physical acts like washing, abstaining from uncleanness (Leviticus 21:1-9), and invoking God's holiness. Failure to do so profanes the LORD's name (Leviticus 22:32 KJV: "I will be hallowed among the children of Israel: I am the LORD which hallow you").

Focus on Ordain: In the KJV Old Testament, "ordain" often intertwines with qadash, meaning to appoint or establish for a sacred role. For priests, ordination is the formal consecration: Exodus 28:41 KJV says, "thou shalt put them upon Aaron... and shalt anoint them, and consecrate them, and sanctify them [qadash], that they may minister unto me." Here, "consecrate" (literally "fill their hand") and "sanctify" together constitute ordination—filling us with authority and setting us apart for perpetual service. It's a seven-day process (Leviticus 8:33-35 KJV), involving sacrifices to atone for our sins, underscoring that even we priests must be made holy before ordaining others. Ordination isn't self-initiated; it's divinely commanded and mediated through Moses or high priests, ensuring the lineage remains pure (Numbers 3:10 KJV: "thou shalt appoint Aaron and his sons").

We priests do not ordain ourselves; we are called by God through birthright (Aaronic line) and confirmed by ritual. Yet, we must actively sanctify ourselves ongoingly—Exodus 19:22 KJV warns: "let the priests also, which come near to the LORD, sanctify themselves, lest the LORD break forth upon them." This is a command to prepare personally through cleansing and abstinence, acknowledging our vulnerability to sin.

THIS IS LAWKEEPING AND NEGATING WHAT LATER IS GIVEN TO US FREELY BY GRACE IN THE MYSTERY READ FURTHER:

NOW WE KNOW JESUS CHRIST FULFILLED THE LAW AND WE ARE NOW IN THIS DISPENSATION OF GRACE within the MYSTERY. See my studies on the Mystery given to Paul from Jesus Christ:

Comparison to the New Testament KJV: Priests, Apostles, and Personal Sanctification

Now, turning to the New Testament in the KJV, we see a shift from the Aaronic priesthood to the priesthood of all believers (1 Peter 2:9 KJV: "ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood") and Christ as our eternal High Priest (Hebrews 7:24-28). No longer are there Levitical priests performing rituals; instead, apostles like Paul, Peter, and John proclaim the gospel, appoint elders, and exhort holiness. The word "sanctify" appears (Greek hagiazo, akin to qadash, meaning to make holy or set apart), but the dynamic changes.

Do Priests or Apostles Ask God to Sanctify Them Personally?: In the New Testament KJV, we do not find apostles or any figures explicitly praying or asking God to sanctify them personally, as if it were unaccomplished. Instead, they affirm that they have already been called, set apart, and ordained by God—often declaring it as a past or present reality rooted in divine sovereignty. For example:

Jesus, our High Priest (Hebrews 4:14), says in John 17:19 KJV: "for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth." This is not a request but a declaration—He sets Himself apart for sacrifice, modeling perfect obedience.

Paul knows his calling: Romans 1:1 KJV: "Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God." "Separated" (aphorizō) echoes qadash—set apart from birth (Galatians 1:15 KJV: "who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace"). Paul doesn't petition for sanctification; he testifies to it as God's initiative (Acts 9:15 KJV: "he is a chosen vessel unto me").

No apostolic prayers like "Lord, sanctify me" appear. Instead, they pray for others' sanctification (e.g., John's desire in 3 John 1:2) or exhort believers to pursue it (1 Thessalonians 5:23 KJV: "the very God of peace sanctify you wholly," a benediction for the church).

Searches through Scripture reveal no direct instances of New Testament priests (rarely mentioned, as in Acts 6:7, where many priests believe) or apostles begging God for personal sanctification. They operate from assurance of their election and empowerment by the Spirit (Acts 13:2 KJV: "Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them").

Focus on "Ordain" in the New Testament: The KJV uses "ordain" differently from the Old Testament's priestly consecration. In the OT, it ties to ritual sanctification (e.g., 1 Chronicles 9:22 for gatekeepers, or 2 Chronicles 11:15 for false priests). In the NT, "ordain" means to appoint or establish leaders through prayer, fasting, and laying on of hands—without elaborate ceremonies:

Acts 14:23 KJV: "when they had ordained them elders in every church, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord."

Titus 1:5 KJV: "ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee."

Apostles ordain others but see their own role as divinely ordained, not self-sought (1 Timothy 2:7 KJV: "I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle"). No NT figure asks God to ordain them; they recognize it as God's sovereign act (Hebrews 5:1-4 KJV: high priests are "ordained for men... called of God").

In summary, under the old covenant, we priests actively consecrate and ordain through rites, even sanctifying ourselves to avoid wrath. In the new, apostles know they are already set apart by grace, declaring their ordination without petitioning for it—pointing to Christ's completed work (Hebrews 10:10 KJV: "we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all"). Thus, the law's shadows give way to the substance in Christ.
