Who have been bitten by the same serpent of Eve in the Garden who needs the antivenom of Jesus Christ. (Numbers 21:9: and John 3:14-15 KJV).

The council's amillennial twist distorts God's Word for ecclesiastical control.

Papias, who claimed to have heard traditions from the Apostle John (Polycarp’s teacher), explicitly taught Chiliasm, describing a future earthly kingdom of abundance (Eusebius, Ecclesiastical History 3.39). Given Polycarp’s association with John and his influence on Irenaeus (who was a Chiliast), some scholars infer Polycarp likely shared this view, though no direct statement confirms it.
Irenaeus’ Testimony:
Irenaeus of Lyons (c. 130–202 AD), a student of Polycarp, was a strong proponent of Chiliasm in his work Against Heresies (Book 5). He claimed to draw on apostolic tradition, possibly through Polycarp, for his belief in a literal millennial kingdom. While Irenaeus does not explicitly say Polycarp taught Chiliasm, the connection suggests Polycarp was at least sympathetic to or familiar with the view.
