The MEEK of the King James Bible vs The MEEK of this WORLD.
Colossians 2:8
“Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.”
King James Version (KJV)
Short Story of what brought me here to finish this DRAFT. The incident at my daughter's school and how I'm told what MEEK means in the Bible.
This perverse fallen WORLD-The Devil is the god of this WORLD (2 Corinthians 4:4 KB) has painted a false Christ in the spirit of the antichrist of Jesus who is a sappy love hug bunny who loves the sinner in their sin and hands out free passes in universalism. But in reality, look at the instances in scripture whereby we see Jesus as anything BUT a weak effeminate emasculated -

JESUS IS NOT A WEAK LOVE HUG BUNNY:
Here are brief summaries of those instances:
Cleansing the Temple: In Matthew 21:12-13, Jesus entered the temple and drove out all who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves, saying, "It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves."
Rebuking Peter: In Matthew 16:23, after Peter tried to dissuade Jesus from going to Jerusalem and facing suffering, Jesus turned and said to Peter, "Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men."
Criticizing the Pharisees: In John 8:44, Jesus spoke to the Pharisees, saying, "Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it."
These moments reflect strong confrontations where Jesus addressed corruption, deception, and misunderstandings of God's will.
"Let the Dead Bury Their Dead": In Matthew 8:21-22, one of Jesus’ disciples requested to first go and bury his father before following Jesus. Jesus responded, "Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead." This statement highlights the urgency and priority of following Jesus. It suggests that spiritual life and commitment to Christ take precedence over traditional or cultural duties, even significant ones like burying a relative.
Calling the Pharisees Fools: In Matthew 23:17, Jesus denounced the Pharisees and scribes for their hypocrisy, saying, "Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gold, or the temple that sanctifieth the gold?" In this chapter, Jesus pronounced several "woes" against the religious leaders for their outward appearance of righteousness while neglecting justice, mercy, and faithfulness. Jesus criticized their focus on minor rituals while ignoring the greater moral laws of God.
Cursing the Fig Tree: In Mark 11:12-14, as Jesus was leaving Bethany, He saw a fig tree with leaves but no fruit. He cursed the tree, saying, "No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever." Later, in Mark 11:20-21, the disciples saw that the fig tree had withered. This act symbolized the judgment on unfruitful Israel. Despite outward appearances (leaves), Israel had failed to produce spiritual fruit. This incident serves as a warning about the importance of genuine faith and productivity in the Kingdom of God.
References to Hell Fire: Jesus made several references to hell and the consequences of unrepentant sin. For instance, in Matthew 10:28, He warned, "And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." In Matthew 25:41, during the parable of the sheep and the goats, He spoke of eternal punishment, saying, "Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels." These references emphasize the seriousness of sin and the necessity of repentance and righteousness.
These incidents collectively illustrate Jesus' teachings on the importance of sincere faith, prioritizing spiritual commitments, and the consequences of failing to live according to God's will.
