Dreams

I've only had one dream in  my life that turned out exactly true.

The 9:30 dream,  an exact premonition of me being commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Navy.  In 1977 I was enlisted in the Navy. Shortly after failing an enlisted advancement exam whereas my peers would advance beyond me, I had a dream. The night before the dream I had wept, praying to God to help me get through this difficult time and to help me in my career.  In the dream I was standing in ranks with my peers wearing our dress summer white uniforms.  A well known, white bearded, high ranking officer I knew was vividly walking through the ranks with his wife congratulating all my peers for their promotions. I wanted to run, but couldn't. I didn't know why I'd be in rank with the ones who were promoted but I knew I was supposed to be here.  When the Captain's wife came to me she stopped and jeered saying, "And you! Look at you! You didn't even know  the name of the Captain's dog. You don't deserve to be here."  I couldn't even breathe, feeling so low.

Then, she moved on to the next person in ranks and began praising him for his promotion. The Captain who was following her, stepped up to me and looked me straight in the eye and said, "Hello Winner! Do you have a watch?"  I said yes and reached down and removed my wrist watch, an older analog model with hands on it, and handed it to him.  The Captain then took the watch, placed in the open palm of his hand with the face facing upward. He then pulled out a sharp knife and plunged the knife into his open palm next to the watch. Blood gushed out all over his white uniform. People were aghast. His wife shrieked. He then scrawled something on the face of my watch and handed it back to me.  I looked carefully at my watch and it was exactly 9:30. Clearly written on the face of the watch written in his blood was the word: WINNER!

Three years later on the 30th day of  September  (9/30) I was commissioned as an Ensign in the U.S. Navy by the Captain who was in my dream.

Last night I had 2 separate dreams that were just as vivid and I believe could be a premonition.

The first was me overlooking a major city that had been laid to waste by what appeared to be either a nuclear bomb (comparing photos of Hiroshima after the blast) or a major Tsunami (looking at the aftermath of photos I'd seen after the Megatsunami on December 26, 2004), whatever, but it was complete ruin, laying  waste the entire area of a great city and beyond. I have no idea where this was.  This scene was so completely quiet and eerily serene. What bothered me was I wasn't shocked or even saddened, but it was as if I was watching what I knew for years would happen and finally had the proof in front of me.  Maybe I was too taken back to be shocked or saddened.  I don't know. Nevertheless, I woke up. Awake I realized I was disturbed by not being  upset or shaken in the slightest by this dream but rather, just kind of  numb by resignation to the inevitable. The sense of detachment is what bothered me the most.

I fell asleep again and had another dream where I  was standing in a school building here in Vietnam that I know well.  I had been teaching for years in this school but the people who I should have known were all strangers to me and I to them... I tried to regain some recognition, but they reacted as if I were a threat to them somehow. I  felt very sad and very alone... I then walked out into the front reception area trying to find someone I knew. Then, right in front of me was my deceased father, sitting in a chair with a huge smile holding my new daughter. He was so happy. His body was as I remembered back when he was younger and strong and healthy before his death.  I was overcome with joy. I ran up to him and told him how happy I was that he got to see my daughter, his new grand-daughter and how it felt.

His happy face soon changed and he became very serious and started talking about business opportunities, specifically about a very big business deal coming down that would set us up for good. I realized he was more interested in doing business than seeing his granddaughter. At first I was sad he wanted to talk about business before talking about my daughter, but then I realized he was always about providing for his family first and this business deal must be something beyond measure. So I started to ask him questions.

Then, as he was explaining the details of this wonderful business deal. I all of a sudden had a very vivid flashback of my previous dream and saw the destruction and realized all these plans were a complete waste of time. I started to interrupt him, tell him that all of this money and power he was looking at didn't really matter because complete and total destruction is soon coming upon the earth. I wanted to tell him that all this was actually a change for the better, not for the worse because this was going to usher in the new kingdom of heaven. I wanted to tell him if he focused on the temporal things and not the eternal things it would be a complete waste for him. I wanted to say all of these things but I just knew he didn't want to hear these things. I also knew he'd say that he'd heard these things all of his life but God expected us to work and occupy until he comes.

My father was saved but a very practical, hard working man. Then,  I decided to speak up but at that moment, just as I was going to speak, I looked behind me and to the right for some reason and saw a brick wall having recently been built.. The bricks and mortar being laid by an unseen hand had recently stopped work.  I knew that this wall was built by an unseen hand. I don't know why but I knew.. I also knew that the work was recent and had finished.  And somehow I knew this was a sign to me that  I would waste my time saying anything. It was too late, what was done was done, and all that was supposed to happen has happened and is finished. It was all now only a matter of waiting and nothing I could say would be worth saying.  I wasn't sad, I felt the same peaceful resignation I felt looking at the destruction...I then woke up.

  1. Randy these dreams are very interesting!

The one of the wall is very compelling. Is it just a particular message to you?
Is the brick wall telling you that the works of man are about to come to an end and it will all be as stubble soon?
n fact, I sincerely believe that to continue building in the systems of men is a waste of time now.

  2. Some very interesting dreams. About the destruction of that city: when the Lord repeats something, it definitely means something.

The Lord had you leave California and live in Vietnam. Isn't it interesting that you now live in a place that was a war zone back in the 1960s and 1970s. But now Vietnam is a safe haven for you and your family. Maybe the destruction of the city in your dream could be a coastal city in California--like San Francisco.

  3. Yes, Sarah, we've all had dreams but sometimes we have those dreams that really seem to have a purpose. You and Tim have a lot more than I've had. I've studied and read both of your dreams and still studying. This one got my attention because they were so vivid and I can never recall having a dream waking up and then in the second dream having the first become a main focus in such as way. As Tim says, when the Lord repeats it definitely means something as you've both experienced. Yes, the wall had me baffled. I know that it has major significance. I know we're to occupy until our Lord takes us, and at the same time this personally has shown me that although we occupy and witness and work, it is all now just a matter of time. Tim, it's hard to say, you and Sarah both have had vivid dreams about major destruction in key cities. And I've often wondered how in the world I've ended up here in Vietnam. God bless you both. Thank you for your inputs. Glad I have this forum to share.

  4. In your last dream, you said, "Then, I decided to speak up but at that moment, just as I was going to speak, I looked behind me and to the right for some reason and saw a brick wall having recently been built.. The bricks and mortar being laid by an unseen hand had recently stopped work. I knew that this wall was built by an unseen hand. I don't know why but I knew.. I also knew that the work was recent and had finished. And somehow I knew this was a sign to me that I would waste my time saying anything." This reminds me of this Scripture:

Daniel 2: 34: "Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces."

The brick wall, to me, was obviously built by the Lord. The brick wall was behind you and to your right. The sheep are on the right and the goats are on the left. So since you looked to the right, this is very positive. Since the wall was behind you, I believe this means that you are not going back to your previous life or way of living, because the Lord has built a wall between you and your past. As we plow for the Lord, we must not look back.

  5. Wow! Thanks Tim, very insightful as usual. Praise God! Yeah, the wall position location was very clear for some reason and what you say really makes sense. Praise God I don't have to go back. Thank God for that wall. Also, really great tie in to Daniel. Thank God for the separation. Praise God. I tell you it is so wonderful. Thank you Tim. God bless you dear brother.

  7. Dunamis, what a wonderful name, thank you very much for your encouragement and thoughts. It took me some time to post this. At first I thought it was too strange to post and after a few hours the next morning I knew I had to post it because it seemed as strong and as foreboding as my one and only 930 premonition. Blessings to you and your family as well. I look forward to reading about you. God bless. In His love

  8. Randy: Speaking of dreams. I remember the first comment you put on one of my posts, it had some good insight. The post was "Wearing a Rough Garment" (http://tim-shey.blogspot.com/2010/11/wearing-rough-garment.html). In that post, there is a guy who is whipping me because he hates my life of obedience to the Lord. It was a few weeks later that I finally realized who that guy was. His name is Jack Burwell; he has a wife and several children; he used to live in Absarokee, Montana; he is now on the road (I think) preaching the Gospel with some church group.

In my travels, I have stayed with the Burwell family several times. They go to some church meeting on Sunday and they read the Bible a lot. But Jack Burwell rejects Christ--he is not saved--he hates the Holy Ghost. All he has is head knowledge--he is spiritually dead (John 5: 39-40: "Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life").

Why do I mention this? First of all it is good to expose false Christians. Second, last night I had a dream where I saw Jack Burwell. He looked at me with absolute hatred and anger. He had a book in his hands--I think it was the Bible--and he was ripping and tearing it apart. I saw one page of that book and it was written in Hebrew.

Let's look at this dream. Jack Burwell reads the Bible--probably every day. At first glance, that's good, right? But if Jack Burwell rejects Christ (which he does) then reading the Bible doesn't do a whole lot of good. The Jewish Pharisees read the Bible all the time and they rejected Christ. Christian Pharisees read the Bible all the time and they reject Christ. We worship the Lord in Spirit and in truth: if we don't have the Holy Ghost, then how can we really extract anything good out of the Bible?--it becomes just an external written moral code to live by. Scripture needs to be internalized through the Holy Ghost, so that the Lord can truly govern our lives. The Christian life is NOT our brain trying to figure out some moral code, which is idolatry.

Also, what is interesting in the dream is that I saw a page of the book and it was written in Hebrew. Bible verse idolatry types like Jack Burwell usually hate the nation of Israel. I don't know if Jack rejects Israel or not. Maybe the page written in Hebrew means something else.

Just curious if you had any thoughts on this dream.

  9. I think it is interesting that you spoke of Genesis Chapter 37. Around twenty years ago this Christian told me that I was a Joseph (I went through a lot of rejection from my family).

"Who is my mother, my brother, my sister, but those who do the will of my Father in heaven."

Tim, Here's your comment re: wearing rough garments which nails it:

"I believe the guy with the whip in my dream are "Christians" who hate the power of the Holy Ghost.

When Jesus was walking the earth, most of the Jews rejected him. Today Jesus is rejected by most people who call themselves Christians. People have to realize that following Christ is a narrow path. The Scripture "Take up your cross and follow me" really separates the wheat from the chaff."

Interesting that not too long ago I had this pious devoted christian man who sits in the second row pew, the pastor and deacons sit in the front row, every Sunday and sings in the choir, come up to me and verbally assault me and honestly I thought he wanted to punch me, FOR NO REASON WHATSOEVER. He was very angry that I hadn't said hello to him when he walked by and walked up to my table and started a terrible verbal assault. I had visited the house of this same man after his wife invited me and when I said something like, "In the name of Jesus." He became upset and said, "Oh you believe in that stuff. I suppose you also believe in the Bible."

I was shocked, and asked why he sang in the choir and never missed a Sunday if he didn't believe in the Bible and had a problem professing Christ Jesus etc... He said he liked the music and his wife is happy when he attends the service.

I've also been under terrible attacks from other Christians including my own son who coming home from 3 combat tours (Iraq and Afghanistan) as an Army Ranger Captain suffering severe PTSD and physical injuries etc entered into and graduated from theological seminary; from a self-proclaimed Jesus Freak who always walks around town with both forefingers pointing in the sky saying, "Jesus is the only way!"; from a self-proclaimed "God fearing Man who learned about God from his old grandma; and from a young man who works for YFC; ETC.

Tim the anointing is under attack. Study the lives of Moses, Joseph, Ruth, Samson, David, Paul and the diciples and John the Baptist and the greatest example Jesus Christ. I heard a great sermon once about Samson's anointing and how the Devil's main goal is to first take away the anointing (cut off his hair), and once this is done to take away his vision. Without vision a people perish.. they can't see their identity,.. their true identity.

Also, please see my old Blog I am going to post again called: The anointing is under attack.....

God bless dear Brother and thank you for asking for my thoughts.. I'm greatly honored .
