Thou God are Great and Doeth Wonderous Things 1588; The Spanish Armada scourge of Catholicism Defeated

The Defeat of the Spanish Armada in 1588

A Powerful Story here in analyzing The Epic Battle between Spain King Philip II a devout Catholic determined to bring England under control of the Vatican and ultimately a Catholic nation and crush Queen Elizabeth I of England, a fierce and devout Protestant, in 1588.

Both King Philip and Queen Elizabeth were incapable and incompetent war monarchs, but both had relied on God granting them victory in spite of their blunders in military matters. Both were praying fervently to the same God. But God answered the prayers of England and her Queen in the most powerful way imaginable.

To fully understand and gain a deeper insight,  I'd highly recommend this amazing documentary of the Armada by Magellan TV.

God clearly prevailed for England against overwhelming odds and numerous adversities to destroy the mighty Spanish fleet.

England would become the greatest empire on earth following this great victory.

I am certain that God allowed England to stop the Vatican and raise up James I of England (King of Scotland as James VI of Scotland from 24 July 1567 and King of England and Ireland as James I from the union of the Scottish and English crowns on 24 March 1603 until his death in 1625) a devout Christian, despised by the Vatican, to commission the 1611 King James Bible and promote Christianity and the word of God throughout the modern world.  In spite of the Vatican's attempts to stop the printing and distribution of the Bible in English, God prevailed over the works of Satan and it was accomplished.

Armada: The Untold Story

Episodes(3)

When Elizabeth I ascended to the English throne in 1558, she rejected Philip II, Emperor of Spain, as a suitor. Thirty years later, he would lead a huge invasion force against her, seeking to depose Elizabeth and bring Protestant England back into the Catholic fold. It was a decision that would define them both, and change the future course of their respective countries. With exclusive access to a cache of 3,000 documents, including some written by Philip himself, this series journeys from the royal corridors of power, where two frail, aging monarchs fought hard to maintain control to the brutal reality of war and its tragic aftermath, offering fresh insight into a pivotal moment in European history. Armada: The Untold Story mixes authoritative documentary, world-class contributors, vivid drama reconstructions, and visceral in-the-moment battle scenes, brought to life with state-of-the art CGI to bring the key events of 1588 to life as never before.
