Christian Zionism isn’t about defending a government or its policies, it’s about obeying what Scripture actually says and standing against the forces that have tried to wipe out the Jewish people since long before modern Israel even existed. God made an everlasting covenant with Israel, and He didn’t revoke it (Genesis 17:7). He commands us to bless Abraham’s descendants and warns us not to curse them (Genesis 12:3). Salvation came through the Jewish people. And Scripture tells us He’s coming back there (Romans 9:5, Zechariah 14:4, Acts 1:11-12). We’re called to be salt and light, and that means we can’t just sit on the fence when people are calling for destruction. Our authority is Scripture, not governments or whatever’s trending on social media (Matthew 5:13-16, Isaiah 5:20). Here’s the thing: saying you’re “not a Christian Zionist” isn’t some neutral theological position. Replacement theology isn’t about Israel’s government it’s about erasing Israel itself. And the Bible is explicitly clear that God hasn’t rejected His people. Romans flat-out says God hasn’t cast off Israel and that His gifts and calling to them are irrevocable (Romans 11:1, 28-29). It teaches that Gentile believers are grafted in through Christ, not that we replaced Israel (Romans 11:17-18). Denying this means rejecting what Romans plainly teaches. You can play semantic games if you want, but Scripture doesn’t allow Israel to be erased or replaced. And rejecting that isn’t really about Jewish people, it’s about rejecting God’s Word. Now, what you do with that is between you and God. But here’s some context: “Christian Zionism” as a political term was weaponized later by groups like the KGB and the Muslim Brotherhood. The biblical reality it points to? That’s ancient. Our Deliverer comes from Zion. Scripture is the final authority for Christians, period. We don’t get to have opinions about what God does with His covenants. We’re called to obedience and submission to Him. It really is that simple.
