Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, do I really understand this?

Can you even begin to get your mind around this thought, "Worthy is the Lamb who was slain." ???

I've decided to post this and meditate on it and each day for the next week, I will enter a date along with revelation I receive from our Lord.

I ask any of the Saints to please add if you're led to do so.

God bless....

May 9th,  2012:  Worthy:    having adequate or great merit, character, or value:

2.
of commendable excellence or merit; deserving: a bookworthy of praise; a person worthy to lead.

we know we have been given a sacrifice in our stead of great merit who is also deserving to be slain as handed over by the Father God.  Although, spotless, innocent, and undeserving, God placed the sins of the world on the lamb, Jesus and since he became you and me on that cross, he became deserving of death (the wages of sin is death). Isaiah 53.

May 10th 2012:  So happy my sister in Christ Sarah is discussing the Communion. The Lord's Supper. I just did a Blog on how God wants us to experience him to really learn about him and believe in him. What better way to understand "Worthy is The Lamb who was slain" than to practice as our Lord Jesus instructed us in breaking the bread in remembrance of his broken body for us and taking the cup in remembrance of for his blood shed for us.. All for our eternal salvation and wholeness on this earth. Amen.

May 11th 2012:  When I consider what I once was before Jesus Christ began his great work in me, it is nothing less than a miracle. This more than makes the Lamb, Jesus, who was sacrificed for me, more than worthy to be the perfect sacrifice. Amen. Thank you Jesus.

May 12th 2012:  When I consider what I am today, saved by God's grace, working out my salvation with fear and trembling (Philippians 2:12) http://www.gotquestions.org/fear-and-trembling.html
I know that if it wasn't for the perfect sacrifice I would be hopelessly damned as a vessel of God's wrath awaiting the final days of judgement.

May 13th 2012:  What is a perfect sacrifice? This is the question that demands being asked when pondering  the statement, "Worthy is the Lamb who was slain." A perfect sacrifice can only be perfect if God Himself has selected this sacrifice and deemed it so because only God is perfect. And since God is perfect he'd only select something perfect and since only He is perfect He would have to chose something most perfect and treasured and that would be His only begotten son.  A perfect, blameless lamb.  Therefore, a perfect sacrifice is God choosing an offering to himself that is perfect and precious for the sake of saving lost mankind.  (Definition of sacrifice: an act of offering to a deity something precious; especially :the killing of a victim on an altar; something offered in sacrifice; destruction or surrender of something for the sake of something else; something given up or lost. Hebrews 10:12
12But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God,

May 14th 2012: I've been fasting for 2 days now, pressing into a deeper understanding of our Lord Jesus in order that I may have a deeper, more meaningful relationship.  In pondering the meaning of "Worthy is the Lamb who was slain", today I have to ask this question: "What was the purpose of a perfect sacrifice?"  I know we're taught that Jesus had to save fallen man and that all the old covenants that God had previously made with man were all broken by mankind going back to the original fall of Adam. I would like to add that for me personally, "the purpose is VERY PERSONAL for ME personally and that's what God intended. God loved me, wicked ole me, sooo much he send his son, Jesus to die on the cross for me.  Jesus had to save me and bring me back to God the father. If he didn't I would be eternally lost. Praise God. Thank you Jesus. Now I'm compelled to spread the gospel and share it with the lost. Amen.

May 15th 2012:  My Blog on The great pardox of all paradoxes sums up my thought today on "Worthy is the Lamb who was slain.    http://thirdheaventraveler.blogspot.com/2012/04/great-paradox-of-all-paradoxes.html       But the firstling of an ass thou shalt redeem with a lamb, and if thou redeem him not then thou shalt break his neck. NO WAY OF ESCAPE REMAINS BUT REDEMPTION.  The unclean creature must be saved by the substitution of a lamb in its place or it must die.  The unclean creature (the ass)  is you and me and the lamb is Jesus.   My unworthiness makes Christ Jesus all the more WORTHY. AMEN.  "What is the ONLY animal that man is compared to? The "ass" is the only animal that man is compared to: see Job 11:12, "For vain man would be wise, though man be born a wild ass's colt."
I sit here now and praise God for his great grace and mercy for Jesus who saved me. Dear Jesus you are certainly worthy to have humbled yourself to the Father's will until death for the unworthy ass that I am. Thank you, Amen.   I now humbly come before your throne of grace, the blood sprinkled mercy seat and sup with you in communion.  I now break my fast and partake of the bread which represents your broken body given for me and I drink of the cup which represents your blood shed for me. Hallelujah!

  1. Absolutely wonderful Sarah, thank you for sharing this miraculous insight. I just knew a saint would post something of great value. In my morning prayer I was listening to the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir singing "Worthy Is The Lamb." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Gae-n0Pb7Q , over and over again.. I couldn't get the words out of my mind. The Holy Spirit led me to understand a saint could add to this.. Amen.. I read the article you attached. Wonderful. Several years ago, back in my youth, I remember my mother placing significant emphasis on the Lords Supper as in performing it. I'm going to practice this more often as part of my daily routine. God bless sister.. Thank you... And I pray with you for your healing.. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

  2. Sarah, It doesn't sound strange to the saints.

  3. I understand Sarah, it didn't even enter my mind when you brought this up. I know the Catholic church has perverted communion as well as every other aspect of Christianity. The Devil is a copycat.
