That's kind of mean. Islam is peaceful religion. Just because few Muslims do terror attack, doesn't make all of them bad. What about Sandy Hook shooting, the shooter was white Christian, you don't say the same thing, like ' White Christian shoot the students, like Columbine and Texas.' I'm Muslims. This is not fair. The Quran is source of peace, if you see verse, like violence, know that is is our of context. You read the Bible, did you read any violence, how do you react? Go to YouTube and searched FTD facts misunderstood verses of the Quran and myth and biggest lies on Islam. The media is nothing but biased toward Muslims. How would you feel, If I do same things do your religion? Then stop doing this now!
ReplyDeleteIqra. Thank you for your comment. No doubt Islam is a peaceful religion to those Muslims who are not fundamentalists like you for example. The problem is there is - are large groups of Muslims who take the "violent" scriptures of your religion and apply them as you've stated, "out of context". This has been documented. We - you, me, Dr. Woods, and any person on this planet earth living in a democratic society has the God given right to express an opinion. In this presentation of Dr. Woods there is compelling evidence that should be studied. This Blog article was posted over 8 years ago during a time when the former President of the US kept telling Americans that Islam is a religion of peace. I began to study this for myself. There is also a preponderance of evidence by Dr. Bill Warner of the Institute of political Islam on this subject that warrants your attention. However, what you've written is correct. There are terror attacks by non-Muslims as well. You've no doubt read the Christian Bible. There are scriptures that promote violence no doubt. An Islamic scholar once asked me why Jesus said, "Think not that I came to bring peace but a sword." Matthew 10:34. If someone told me that Christianity is not a peaceful religion because of this scripture I would tell them the truth: "We are to pursue peace with all men, but, because of Jesus Christ, the world hates and divides us." I understand there are fundamental Christians who do not understand the scriptures and take them out of context and think this scripture in Matthew 10:34 gives them justification to do wrong. However, the Holy Bible commands us to pursue peace, Romans 12:18, Hebrews 12:14. I hope we can study this further. Thank you.
