Beth Moore now in open rebellion to the Bible - Capstone Report
The great IRONY here in Beth Moore's study: Breaking FREE is that the word Free - Freedom is synonymous with PRIDE.
Take a moment to go through Thesarus.com.
It all stems from the root of SELF RIGHTEOUSNESS to determine how we approach God through our vain imagination that is NOT BASED on God's word.
Beth starts out of the starting gate quoting a perverted translation of Galatians 5:1 that showcases FREEDOM as the Primary source of what Jesus Christ did for us at Calvary. However, it is not Freedom - to break free of sin that Jesus died on the cross for our sins, but rather to give us the LEGAL DECREE - LICENSE - AUTHORITY to stand back as RIGHTEOUS before him and not stand in our own self righteousness. She opens with commanding the reader in the introduction to memorize Phili
quote:
"Perhaps you’re also unconvinced that Christians can live in bondage. Don’t take my word for it. Take God’s: “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery” (Gal. 5:1). This liberty plea was directed not at the world but to the church. To genuine believers. If you’ve joined me in previous Bible studies, you’ll notice several differences. I will be asking you to join me in Scripture memorization this time. The Word of God, our book of truth, is the key to unlocking the gates of our prisons. Begin by memorizing Galatians 5:1. Tape it to your mirror or refrigerator, or take it in the car with you; but say it, say it, say it until the truth is engraved on your soul. "
My response:
NO THANKS. I do not study or memorize scripture from your perverted translation.
The King James Bible says:
Galatians 5:1
“Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.”
King James Version (KJV)
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden,
license (v.)c. 1400, "grant formal authorization to do what would be illegal to do without it," from licence (n.), which see for the modern attempt at differentiation of spelling. Related: Licensed;
Beth Moore's begins examining the apostate Kings of Judah before the fall of the temple to Babylon.
I'm going to focus on her study of UZZIAH and how Beth misses the mark.
Beth has set up her false narrative of FREEDOM being the purpose - reason Christ has set us free.
Now she continues in the narrative of her title BREAKING FREE which is honestly telling the reader it is our ACTION, FAITH, WORK that gives us Freedom. But let's look at Uzziah.
Beth builds the case that it was King Uzziah's PRIDE that caused him to fail. As if we can "work on our pride and change our behavior by Jesus setting us free" and not understanding scripture that says clearly that it is only through the FAITH OF JESUS CHRIST and being crucified with him by faith are we free. Read Galatians 2:16 and 2:20 King James Bible. Beth never talks about this.
Galatians 2:16
“Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.”
King James Version (KJV)
Galatians 2:20
“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”
King James Version (KJV)
When we thoroughly study this, we find this thread carries throughout her study. I will only showcase UZZIAH to show what I mean. Beth showcases PRIFE as causing the downfall of UZZIAH - and of course PRIDE was at work in this man - however, she puts the cart before the horse because she does not realize what is happening in 2 Chronicles 26:15, 16:
To say that PRIDE was the primary SIN of UZZIAH is extremely limited and myopic.
2 Chronicles 26:16 tells us that King Uzziah’s PRIDE brought him to destruction - specifically that he thought he could just barge into the Temple and burn incense upon the altar of incense.
We have to look at the ROOT of PRIDE and that is SELF RIGHTEOUSNESS in looking at one’s ability to WORK one's way into the GRACE of GOD circumventing LAW to go the way of Cain, Balaam and Core see Jude 1:11.
SELF RIGHTEOUSNESS creates PRIDE not the other way.
Self-righteousness discloses itself when a person has set up another standard for himself other than what God has dictated. God judged Moses’ attempt to obey God with His severe judgment. In other words, not one of us, no matter our position, problem, intimacy with God, or reasoning, should exclude ourselves from the full demand of God’s Word.

Romans 10:3 - For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

Titus 3:5 - Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
Galatians 2:16 - Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
WORKS BASED SALVATION is serious and God hates our WORKS of self Righteousness.
Isaiah 64:6
King James Version
6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

Romans 3:19-23
King James Version
19 Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
IF We Examine in detail verse 16 of 2 Chronicles Chapter 26 we see the following:
Lifted up = H1361 root word strong back from digging- work, heavy work (self reliance).
Now examine verse 15:
If we look at the context of where Uzziah’s strength came from we find from in depth study that he was a brilliant man and worked very hard in collaboration with the best minds of the people to devise highly sophisticated weapons and materials for warfare that gave Judah a remarkable advantage over the enemy.
STRONG = HEBREW H2388 = verb SEIZE A strong grabbing hold to refrain or support:
The word "refrain" comes from the Latin word "refrenare" which means "to bridle, hold in with a bit, check, curb, keep down, control"1. The Latin word is formed from "re-" meaning "back" and "frenare" meaning "restrain, furnish with a bridle"1. "Frenum", which means "a bridle", is a word of uncertain etymology1. The word "refrain" also has a French origin, from the Old French verb "refraindre" meaning "to break off, repeat"2.
The etymology of support is derived from the Latin word supportare, meaning "to carry,
convey, bring up, bring forward" The word entered the English language through Old French suporter, meaning "to bear, endure, sustain, support"1. The word support also displaced the Old English word wraĂľu, which had a similar meaning. The word help, which is often used as a synonym of support, has a different origin from the Proto-Germanic word *helpanan, meaning "to help, support, succor; benefit, do good to; cure, amend"
If we carefully look at the context of 2 Chronicles we see both RESTRAIN and SUPPORT at work here in UZZIAH's strength. His self reliance restrained him to acknowledge GOD and it also SUPPORTED his own VAIN imagination of his own capability to spawn PRIDE.
We Examine in detail verse 16 of 2 Chronicles Chapter 26 we see the following:
Lifted up = H1361 root word strong back from digging- work, heavy work (self reliance).
What is shocking is the Hebrew Strongs H1361 mentions several times the word: HUSBANDMAN. I hope you're sitting down but I have a study on the current STIFF NECKED (self righteous) state of Israel today and why they will soon go into the time of Jacob's trouble - Daniel's 70th week - aka The Tribulation.
Take the word : Husbandman and see the Parable of the Householder dealing with the Husbandmen of Matthew Chapter 21 and please read this within the context of all of chapter 21:
