The reader will note that in each change of dispensations there is always a period of change whereby the old gradually folds into the new.  In no instance is the change immediate. This phasing in period is explained in the link.

After Jesus Christ came and introduced the KINGDOM GOSPEL by John the Baptist, The Kingdom Dispensation came to an end with Pentecost, however the Little Flock under the Kingdom Dispensation was still transitioning, phasing into the GOSPEL OF GRACE given to Paul.

One of the great ironies here is that the Hyper-Dispensationalists try to remove the church from Revelation and yet here in Acts Chapter 20, Paul is speaking to the Elders at the Church of Ephesus and warning them as Jesus Christ warns them in the book of Revelation 2:1-7 KJV. And we see in Acts 20:28,29 Paul is referring to the FLOCK which is the church.

Back in 2018 and again in 2020 I read Dr. Andy Wood’ work, The coming kingdom and found numerous glaring and frankly jarring errors mostly stemming from his use of the NASB bible and not the King James. 

Recently,  I had to open his book again to find background information on why Dr. Woods insists that the FLAG of Israel represents JESUS CHRIST and that National Israel of today are God's chosen people. 

As I was doing this study that was prompted by his ABSURD declaration that people like myself - who believe the current state of Israel is certainly not the true Israel and that the Nation of Israel today - complete unrepentant - gay capital of the world - complete apostasy is NOT the chosen Jewish Remnant of scripture Hosea 10:1,2, Romans 9:24-27. Etc. - are following doctrine of demons and like the Pharisees accused Jesus of being of the Devil, Woods is throwing the Saints who read their King James Bibles under the same bus.

 MAKE NO MISTAKE.  The current flag of Israel is certainly not the representation of MESSIAH JESUS CHRIST whom they deny as the Messiah and will arrest a Christian for preaching the gospel in the street.

While Bock repeatedly refers to “a hope” and “a role for” national Israel,, perhaps more appropriate biblical terminology would be “the hope” and “the role”. Paul indicates that the hope for the entire world rests upon national Israel's response to the gospel (Rom. 11:12, 15). This disturbing pattern makes it quite apparent that the church runs the risk of becoming progressively more anti-Israel, both in its sentiment toward a future kingdom through Israel as well as toward the modern state of Israel, the further she experiences an ecclesiastical drift into “kingdom now” theology."  End quote.

On page 68 of The Coming Kingdom he claims that IF Israel would have repented to Peter’s call quoting Joel 2:32 that the Kingdom would have been established. Andy honestly has no idea of who the Jewish Remnant are and why Peter and Paul (Romans 9-11) quote Joel REFERRING TO THE TIME OF JACOB’S TROUBLE.


Woods using his perverted Bible claims on page 40 of the Nation of Israel NOT the Biblical ISRAEL detailed in Romans 9, Isaiah 50:1, 10:22, 6:13, Jeremiah 11:14, Hosea 1:10,11, Daniel 9:24-27, Revelation 2:9, 3:9 Zechariah 13:9, Micah 2:12 has PREEMINENCE.

Woods claims Ezekiel 37:21-22 that God says he will take the sons of Israel from among the nations and make them one nation in the land but the KING JAMES BIBLE states clearly these are the REMNANT because it is the children of Israel taken from the HEATHEN. Woods has no clue of the “Mystery” given to Paul. In fact he goes from outright heretical to blasphemous when he says on page 89 of the Coming Kingdom that “it is best to retain the traditional understanding of the word “mystery’ as something both unrevealed and unrealized in the Old Testament rather than following the inaccurate definition advocated by Progressive Dispensationalism as something revealed but unrealized.”

He has to go into agonizing, excruciating rant for over seventeen pages, page 81 to 98.

Andy pathetically goes through this excruciating seventeen page rambling that attempts to try to tell us uneducated plowboys what Paul understood as the mystery (although Paul clearly tells us in Ephesians chapter 3 and throughout the Pauline Epistles) and that Romans 16:25-26 doesn’t really say what it says in the King James Bible. 

Note:  On page 85 he even uses a disgusting strawman to say Paul didn't use the pagan concept of what is the mystery, but rather the LXX (Septuagint) translation of mystery which is not the simplistic explanation that Paul gives in Ephesians Chapter 3. KJB.

He and his like minded reprobates call believers like me Progressive Dispensationalists when in reality Woods and his kind are the Progressive or what I have termed HYPER DISPENSATIONIST.

Woods' continued misunderstanding of the MYSTERY revealed to Paul raises its ugly head extensively in his false teaching of The Church and Israel as in Heirs of the kingdom Pages 147-148, Jew and Gentile in one body pages 141-42; 263 in his book The Coming Kingdom. Over and over again he throws those like me who rightly divide the word of God into the REPLACEMENT THEOLOGY camp.

Accepting this view does not exclude the fact that there were no references to Gentile blessings (Gen 12:3; 22:18; 26:4; 28:14) or Gentile inclusion within Israel (Lev 19:34; Deut 10:18–19; 1 Kgs 8:41–43). However, in all these passages there was never the suggestion that Jews and Gentiles were one body. On the contrary, a Gentile had to become a Jew to be fully accepted within Israel. There are many passages which allude to Gentiles being blessed along with Israel (Isa 2:1–4; 11:10; 49:6; 60:1–3; 61:5–6; Jer 3:17; Zech 8:20–23; 14:16–19), but they do not refer to the past but rather to the future kingdom (cf. Acts 3:18–20). Again, there is no portrayal of one body; rather Israel and the Gentiles remain distinct, though both will enjoy God’s blessing. The body of believers is an entirely new concept in the NT. A discussion of the concept of the body is also found in 1 Cor 12:12–25. The two distinct features of the body of Christ given in 1 Cor 12:13 are: (1) that Jews and Gentiles are not distinguished from one another and (2) that entrance into the body is by the baptism of the Spirit, a ministry of the Spirit which began after the death of Christ. These two features were absent in OT times. Hence, the mystery of Jews and Gentiles as one body was entirely hidden in God (v. 9) and only revealed in the NT era.


The church consists of all people, including both the Jewish remnant as well as Gentiles, who have trusted in the very Messiah that first-century national Israel rejected. Unlike Israel, which was a national identity, the church is a spiritual organism consisting of all nations and ethnicities (Gal. 3:28; Rom. 10:19; Eph. 2:14). Page 141


Page 149 The Church Is Not Israel Another reason that the church should not be confused with the kingdom is that the kingdom program revolves around national Israel. This truth has been demonstrated in prior chapters that have carefully traced Israel’s covenants and unique offer of the kingdom. Interestingly, the New Testament never designates the church as “Israel.” In fact, the word Israel is found seventy-three times in the New Testament and it always refers to the physical descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.19 Sometimes the term “Israel” in the New Testament refers to Jews in faith and sometimes it refers to Jews in unbelief.

However, the term Israel in the New Testament always refers to those who are physical Jews. This word never refers to Gentiles, the Church, or even a group that is a mixture of both Jews and Gentiles. This generalization even holds true with respect to the oft cited Galatians 6:16 passage, which employs the expression “the Israel of God.” Exegetically, the expression “the Israel of God” found in Galatians 6:16 only refers to believing Jews within the Galatian churches.

The church, which began in Acts 2, has a peculiar divine purpose and calling. This purpose and calling is quite different from Old Testament revelation concerning the kingdom. The kingdom concerns Israel. Since the church is never called Israel and in fact represents a different program than the kingdom, the church cannot be considered the kingdom in any sense. All of this to say, God is clearly at work in the present mystery age as revealed in both the Matthew 13 parables and what the New Testament reveals concerning the church. However, neither of these divine programs should be confused with what the Scripture predicts concerning the long-awaited kingdom of God. At this point, we find ourselves in agreement with Stanley Toussaint, who notes, “Because of Israel’s rejection the kingdom still has not come and is yet future. God is today ruling over His universe, and He is calling out people for Himself, but the kingdom is not present in any form.” End Quote.
