The Familiar spirit - NOT Samuel's spirit talks to Saul

 


Why this is important.  Today in this late hour as we the Saints find ourselves surrounded in a sea of apostasy, we need to know how to talk to those who believe they can reach out and communicate with their dead loved ones through a medium or even by themselves.

I urge the reader and viewer of the video to study this for yourself and comment if you'd wish.  

If you believe it was really Samuel's spirit - and not Samuel's "familiar spirit" that Saul spoke to, you're not alone.  Many, the majority of people and bible teachers and even scholars believe this is true. 

I pray you'll find, the majority of today's commentators using perverted bible translations and avoiding key scriptures that link FAMILIAR SPIRITS that is only in the King James bible leads so many astray.

So let's begin:

The King James Bible is the only translation that is correctly identifying the correct interpretation of how it was a familiar spirit of Samuel *not Samuel's spirit * summoned up from shoel by the witch and speaking to Saul.

From my earliest study on the subject going back years,  I was convinced God would never allow Samuel to be summoned by a witch and certainly be controlled by a witch to speak but now doing a deeper study and reviewing details I had forgotten, I'm now more convinced than ever that Saul was in fact speaking to the familiar spirit of Samuel. 

The preposition "OF" has over twelve meanings depending on the context of their application.  

I state The familiar spirit "OF" Samuel.

The contextual meaning of SPIRIT "OF" SAMUEL also implies the additional meaning of the Preposition "OF" as In the MANNER OF.

Terms

FAMILIAR SPIRITS are a group of fallen angels aka demons - that 1/3 of the original multitudes of angels - spirits who were cast out of heaven with Lucifer. Isaiah 14 and Ezekiel 28 refer.

Most likely these familiar ​spirits are in the ranking of those who are spiritual wickedness in high places beneath their hierarchical chain of command of principalities powers rulers of the darkness of this world.


We are in continual spiritual warfare against the forces of darkness and evil.

The devil wants people to think the invisible world including the boogeyman - the devil are myths.

I:  We see clearly in verse 7 that this witch has the ability to contact the spiritual world and has "at her command" a familiar spirit working with her like an assistant. Note: Although this is in the singular, this spirit can contact the attached spirits of a certain individual into the billions and billions of people. 

II:  We see here in verse 8 that Saul knows exactly how this works.  The conjuring or summoning - calling up FROM the underworld within She·ol (the abode of the dead - HELL)

Note these are the actual living souls (disembodied spirits that are *See Disembodied Spirits scriptures in notes below:

Mediums (Witches, Wicans, Fortune tellers, etc.) can order up a familiar spirit of an individual named.) These Spiritualists know that they worship the spiritual world and actually have 24/7 access to their familiar spirit of the need to contact. 

Note:  I do not care to and I'm not at liberty posting actual studies and procedures of Mediums.  They personally know they are not in contact with the departed person's spirit, but rather a familiar spirit.  They will always tell the observer that they are in actual contact with the actual person's spirit. ALTHOUGH THE TRUTH IS THEY RELY ON AND WORK WITH THEIR FAMILIAR.

Mediums claim that they can listen to and relay messages from spirits, or that they can allow a spirit to control their body and speak through it directly or by using automatic writing or drawing.

During seances, mediums are said to go into trances, varying from light to deep, that permit spirits to control their minds.[10]

Channeling can be seen as the modern form of the old mediumship, where the "channel" (or channeller) purportedly receives messages from "teaching-spirit", an "Ascended master", from God, or from an angelic entity, but essentially through the filter of his own waking consciousness (or "Higher Self").[11]

III. Verse 13 reveals the witch tells Saul she saw gods ascending out of the earth. 

gods (plural is not Samuel but rather the fallen angels H430 Strongs = angels who have the authority to function with strong authority, holding authority over others, in the sense of being yoked to one another. *Strongs page 54.

We know God gives us scripture by the true account NOT a PARABLE but true account of the Rich Man and Lazarus they cannot depart the earth until the time. Luke 16, Hebrews 9:27,28, 

27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.




14 Lord, why castest thou off my soul? why hidest thou thy face from me?

14 They are dead, they shall not live; they are deceased, they shall not rise: therefore hast thou visited and destroyed them, and made all their memory to perish.



The King James strictly states bodies are reanimated in their eternal state with their soul in eternal glory forever.  Notice the NASB perverts this scripture and refers to spirits of the dead which false teachers use to justify Saul talking to Samuel. See how this is taken out of context completely seeing this is about the Millennial Kingdom with those in a completely different dispensation.

IV.  In Matthew 27:52 King James Bible

 

And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,

These were BODIES. Not spirits of the saints. 

V. A great Prophet of God would not be summoned up and obey a witch. God would never respond to a witch by breaking his word. We have to look at Acts 16:16 KJB. Read this entire context.

 6 And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying:

17 The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation.

VI.  God ceased talking to Saul and this included His prophets as we see in 1 Samuel 28:6:


It would be both illogical and blasphemous for God to then allow a witch to command His great Prophet Samuel to do the bidding of a witch and the REPROBATE SAUL.

Disembodied Spirit

There are over 60 scriptures discussing Disembodied spirits of which the Familiar spirits are among them. 

When man was created in the image (BODY PERSON) of Jesus Christ we were also created in His Likeness (comprised of 3 parts NOT PERSONS:  BODY, SOUL, SPIRIT - See 1 Thessalonians 5:23.  Our Body is obviously our physical body.  Our Soul is the faculty of our mind, will, volition, emotions, character, personality, etc.  Our spirit is our conscience, intuition, and communion (ability communicate with the Spirit of God for the saved OR the spiritual world of darkness for the lost souls).

Therefore, when we die our physical body returns to dust from hence, we came.  However, our SPIRIT without our body lives forever in either heaven or hell and eventually those in hell will be judged at the Great White Throne Judgment and be cast into the eternal lake of FIRE.  Our DISEMBODIED SPIRIT is also eternally connected to our SOUL identifying us for who we are our true essence. 

When the saved are Raptured our bodies will be quickened in a glorified form as was Jesus Christ at the resurrection either dead or alive.

 At the 2nd Advent when Jesus returns all the living dead will be raised and join their reanimated bodies for judgment.  Of course the Tribulation Saints, Jewish Remnant, and Old Testament Saints will also be in their reanimated bodies to join in the MARRIAGE SUPPER OF THE LAMB to exist as ISRAEL the wife - the bride to live and reign eternally with Jesus Christ.

“Soul sleep” is a belief that after a person dies, his/her soul “sleeps” until the resurrection and final judgment. The concept of “soul sleep” is not biblical. When the Bible describes a person “sleeping” in relation to death (Luke 8:52; 1 Corinthians 15:6), it does not mean literal sleep. Sleeping is just a way to describe death because a dead body appears to be asleep. The moment we die, we face the judgment of God (Hebrews 9:27). As can be clearly seen in Luke 16:19-31, neither in paradise nor in Hades are people sleeping. It could be said, though, that a person’s body is “sleeping” while his soul is in paradise or Hades. At the resurrection, this body is “awakened” and transformed into the everlasting body a person will possess for eternity, whether in heaven or hell. Those who were in paradise will be sent to the new heavens and new earth (Revelation 21:1). Those who were in Hades will be thrown into the lake of fire (Revelation 20:11-15). These are the final, eternal destinations of all people—based entirely on whether or not a person trusted in Jesus Christ for salvation.

Present-day defenders of soul sleep include the Seventh Day Adventist church, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Christadelphians, and others.


Saul's Disobedience And Samuel's Rebuke

1 Samuel Chapter 15

1 Samuel also said unto Saul, The LORD sent me to anoint thee to be king over his people, over Israel: now therefore hearken thou unto the voice of the words of the LORD.

2 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I remember that which Amalek did to Israel, how he laid wait for him in the way, when he came up from Egypt.

3 Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass.

4 And Saul gathered the people together, and numbered them in Telaim, two hundred thousand footmen, and ten thousand men of Judah.

5 And Saul came to a city of Amalek, and laid wait in the valley.

6 And Saul said unto the Kenites, Go, depart, get you down from among the Amalekites, lest I destroy you with them: for ye shewed kindness to all the children of Israel, when they came up out of Egypt. So the Kenites departed from among the Amalekites.

7 And Saul smote the Amalekites from Havilah until thou comest to Shur, that is over against Egypt.

8 And he took Agag the king of the Amalekites alive, and utterly destroyed all the people with the edge of the sword.

9 But Saul and the people spared Agag, and the best of the sheep, and of the oxen, and of the fatlings, and the lambs, and all that was good, and would not utterly destroy them: but every thing that was vile and refuse, that they destroyed utterly.

10 Then came the word of the LORD unto Samuel, saying,

11 It repenteth me that I have set up Saul to be king: for he is turned back from following me, and hath not performed my commandments. And it grieved Samuel; and he cried unto the LORD all night.

12 And when Samuel rose early to meet Saul in the morning, it was told Samuel, saying, Saul came to Carmel, and, behold, he set him up a place, and is gone about, and passed on, and gone down to Gilgal.

13 And Samuel came to Saul: and Saul said unto him, Blessed be thou of the LORD: I have performed the commandment of the LORD.

14 And Samuel said, What meaneth then this bleating of the sheep in mine ears, and the lowing of the oxen which I hear?

15 And Saul said, They have brought them from the Amalekites: for the people spared the best of the sheep and of the oxen, to sacrifice unto the LORD thy God; and the rest we have utterly destroyed.

16 Then Samuel said unto Saul, Stay, and I will tell thee what the LORD hath said to me this night. And he said unto him, Say on.

17 And Samuel said, When thou wast little in thine own sight, wast thou not made the head of the tribes of Israel, and the LORD anointed thee king over Israel?

18 And the LORD sent thee on a journey, and said, Go and utterly destroy the sinners the Amalekites, and fight against them until they be consumed.

19 Wherefore then didst thou not obey the voice of the LORD, but didst fly upon the spoil, and didst evil in the sight of the LORD?

20 And Saul said unto Samuel, Yea, I have obeyed the voice of the LORD, and have gone the way which the LORD sent me, and have brought Agag the king of Amalek, and have utterly destroyed the Amalekites.

21 But the people took of the spoil, sheep and oxen, the chief of the things which should have been utterly destroyed, to sacrifice unto the LORD thy God in Gilgal.

22 And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.

23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.

24 And Saul said unto Samuel, I have sinned: for I have transgressed the commandment of the LORD, and thy words: because I feared the people, and obeyed their voice.

25 Now therefore, I pray thee, pardon my sin, and turn again with me, that I may worship the LORD.

26 And Samuel said unto Saul, I will not return with thee: for thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, and the LORD hath rejected thee from being king over Israel.

27 And as Samuel turned about to go away, he laid hold upon the skirt of his mantle, and it rent.

28 And Samuel said unto him, The LORD hath rent the kingdom of Israel from thee this day, and hath given it to a neighbour of thine, that is better than thou.

29 And also the Strength of Israel will not lie nor repent: for he is not a man, that he should repent.

30 Then he said, I have sinned: yet honour me now, I pray thee, before the elders of my people, and before Israel, and turn again with me, that I may worship the LORD thy God.

31 So Samuel turned again after Saul; and Saul worshipped the LORD.

32 Then said Samuel, Bring ye hither to me Agag the king of the Amalekites. And Agag came unto him delicately. And Agag said, Surely the bitterness of death is past.

33 And Samuel said, As thy sword hath made women childless, so shall thy mother be childless among women. And Samuel hewed Agag in pieces before the LORD in Gilgal.

34 Then Samuel went to Ramah; and Saul went up to his house to Gibeah of Saul.

35 And Samuel came no more to see Saul until the day of his death: nevertheless Samuel mourned for Saul: and the LORD repented that he had made Saul king over Israel.



Let’s look at a typical encounter with a familiar spirit in the Bible. And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying: The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the Most High God, which shew unto us the way of salvation. And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.-Acts 16:16-18

This damsel according to scripture, was possessed by a spirit that predicted and told her masters about the state of other people to their gain. This is not a spirit of discernment as we know as part of the gifts of the Spirit. This was
