Darkness emanating from within - nevertheless the finished work of the cross stands eternal... Amen! Maranatha!
For the past few years I've wanted to devote the necessary time to expose this church operation here in Greenwood IN. The Lord has placed Emmanuel on my heart to pray for those who believe they're hearing the truth and to expose the false teaching that goes on in this operation.
I had been invited several times in the past by different people from all kinds of professions and backgrounds to attend Emmanuel. I was interested since there was so much positive impression - however there were some alarming things I had heard. A few years ago I finally did attend - I sat through an entire Sunday morning service shortly after the New Year.
In all truth - and honesty it was far worse than what I had expected. I made a few notes - determined to expose this operation. However I wanted to wait and observe more before exposing this 501C3 Brick and Mortar Operation run by an apostate - heretical - charlatan CEO calling himself a pastor: Pastor Danny as his flock call him.
Today, years later I noticed Emmanuel operation finished their new MIRRORED FACADE which is frankly quite dramatic - and ironically very revealing as the light of truth shining amidst the darkness within this building. Depending on your angle and sun direction this very prominent - massive mirrored façade reflects the sunlight through the cross behind the stark black background. Also interesting on a side note is the letter e - epsilon signified meaning is not what I'd want to be advertising as my brand.
As they were building this new front, I observed when occasionally driving by. And when finished I was surprised to see locals voicing a mixed review ranging from approval to disapproval. It was at this point I was moved in my spirit to finally sit down, get my notes together and write this Blog post.
I pray that eyes be opened to the truth of this operation whose members call a church. I send this in the spirit of love and as an eternal witness and testimony to God almighty in accordance with His Word.
In accordance with 2 Timothy 4:2-4 KJV and Titus 1:11, 2:15 KJV I submit this as an open letter and both a witness and testimony against the teaching of Emmanuel.
Usually when exposing false teaching I will go line by line of what a false teacher says and match it with scripture. Here in this case I need to present an overview of my personal experience in attending a Sunday morning service and add several witnesses I have spoken to that matches what I saw and heard personally from Pastor Danny and his crew.
There are a few "recorded words" proclaiming the faith and belief of Emmanuel that I will address separately below.
I humbly ask anyone at Emmanuel to discuss these issues with me. I'd love to sit down in the spirit of love and Christian civility discuss and or debate these points I make. I am unable to find an achieve of Emmanuel's sermons that I can obtain transcripts of what I personally witnessed in that service I attended. My email address is:

Certainly Emmanuel doing wonderful "works" for their community and even international outreach. Numerous members of this organization are highly motivated and I have personally witnessed an individual who had been suffering from some heavy set backs in life be uplifted and positively impacted in his personal life. I've had some good rather in depth personal conversations over the past few years with members of Emmanuel and we've ended the conversation with agreeing to disagree on doctrinal issues. The "good works" and social programs were and are never a point of contention with Emmanuel or their active work directly or through the efforts of their members. I am not addressing these "good things" Emmanuel does. I'm addressing the biblical practice of their teaching and focus.
My personal experience sitting in the Sunday morning service.
After listening to rock music to get the crowd warmed up, the lead singer, dressed in tight leather jacket yelled, "Let's get ready to Worship this 'crazy' 'amazing' God we serve." He then yelled - almost screamed into the microphone *****Yahhhhhh.... Here I must clarify that I believe in singing before the Lord and worshipping as David did before the lord. My point is not with the loud singing or raising voices in praise before the Lord, what was very disturbing was the spirit behind this and the dark rock music which is a different matter entirely is what I call out.
When Pastor Danny got up he was super pumped and an extremely charismatic powerful speaker. I immediately realized why so many different people I had met recommended Danny and had begged me to attend. I was quite impressed with his commanding presence and seemingly sincere love for his people. I was determined to keep an open mind and listen carefully to what Danny had to say.
FIRST ALARM: Danny didn't use a scripture out of the Bible that I can recall and to the best of my knowledge (my own opinion - memory without video evidence) did not even have a Bible on his lectern. At the beginning of the service there was some scripture posted on the big screen. If my memory serves me correctly it was some scripture (from a perverted Bible translation * see my notes on why bible translations really matter below) that had to do with Hope. See in notes below needed to ask: Why is your pastor using a perverted modern bible translation.
To my complete shock, Danny didn't start with prayer or give us a bible verse to begin his preaching but rather had a "RED BOOK" in his hand and hit us very hard with the following message:
FOCUS FIRST - ON YOU - YOUR HEALTH AND WELLBEING - PHYSICAL - EMOTIONAL WELLBEING - BEFORE YOU CAN TAKE "THE MESSAGE" TO OTHERS. *
* Danny did not utter these words in verbatim. This is the theme - gist that was very clearly voiced by Danny through very effective communication that was in order of an oration. Although Danny didn't use the words of Gospel or Jesus... in direct quote to being fit to proclaim Jesus ... He did however, at times "implied "the message" is the good news. He did not at any time preach the Gospel, share the Gospel or proclaim the Gospel as the MISSION.
Note: I do not have the transcript of this sermon to break down the precise words. I am presenting here the gist of what I heard. My blog is submitted as my "personal opinion from observation of what I personally saw and heard to the best of my recollection and from what I have heard from others regarding Emmanuel. Update: Add: Also in attendance was my wife sitting next to me who witnessed same.
Danny walks around showing himself to be very healthy and physically fit. He referred to himself and mentioned how important and critical a good healthy diet, good exercise, sleeping habits and emotional fitness is in being "effective" in our community.
Note: I agree 100%. Physical health and Emotional health is absolutely essential to be effective in our community. No problem with the concept of wanting your flock to be healthy. But pumping this as your Sunday Sermon instead of having one of his laity announcing "health workshops" etc is extremely troubling. Danny would be an outstanding Fitness and Motivation Coach armed with all of the necessary tools of the philosophy and vain deceit, but certainly not a Bible Preacher.
But a Bible Preacher is NOT what this Laodicean church age wants. They will not endure sound doctrine, but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears. And they turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. (2 Timothy 4:3,4 KJV)
Problem: I could list several scriptures that are clear in three key areas that expose Danny. and explain why he would be lifted up so much by his people. But a few points: 1. We as Christians are NOT to be self absorbed - introspective on our "selves" our "inward" emotional well being or our physical well being as a "main focus" or driven purpose. Our concern must be our 'SPIRITUAL CONDITION . We need to continually be in this mind as Paul warned: To have the same mind as Christ had (Philippians 2:5 KJV) and it surely wasn't making yourself health. In fact Paul tells us that worrying about physical things like bodily exercise profiteth little - but godliness is profitable unto all things. 1 Timothy 4:8 KJV. Other pertinent scriptures Danny forgot are: 1 Corinthians 10:24 KJV, Corinthians 8:8 KJV, Matthew 15:11 KJV etc.
Major Problem: False Gospel: Danny at no time stopped from his Motivational Coaching to Preach the Gospel as the MISSION of his church. Anyone who didn't know any better sitting in the audience would be honestly thinking that Jesus Christ is all about being a super healthy super happy person who tells others to go to Emmanuel church to be happy and healthy and strong. Galatians 1:8,9 KJV is a very strong warning to Danny. I pray his eyes and especially the eyes of his attendees be opened to this truth. Danny is literally preaching the false gospel of: SELF HELP - life coaching evangelism - the step son of Social Gospel in its finest form. Here's the formula: I am going to focus on me and then I am going to fix you and your social ills by the formulas and rudiments of the world BUT not after Christ.
As in my Manna Leaven Paradigm of the false teachers - Clearly all false teachers will of course mix in elements - even powerful elements of sound biblical doctrine. They all know how to throw in at critical times the name of Jesus.
Continuing:
The Gran Climax hitting the Crescendo of Danny's powerful show was when - to my shock - he pulls out his 'red book' and holds it up and declares he wants all of his people to get this book (in his bookstore of course) that "must" be read. Was Danny holding up the Bible? No. Even - God forbid - he held up a modern translation like the NIV ESV NASB instead of the KJV - at least it could be said he was using scripture for his people to read. BUT NO Danny wanted his sheeple to read this book by some woman. He pounded on this hard and I looked around to see people making notes as if they had to get their hands on the red book.
I quickly pulled out my phone and entered the name of the book and the author.
The first thing that came up was this book "seemed" (my personal opinion) to be heavy into Self Help, Centering of Eastern Mysticism.
However, when I entered the name of this author and her works into deeper search including a cult watch - I found no less than 3 links exposing this woman as being a "Christian Mystic" into New Age / Eastern Mystic / Gnostic specializing in - spirituality - through life changing meditation, etc.
Note: I do not remember the female author's name or the name of her book. I am attempting to find it. If a reader would be able to provide this I'd really appreciate this. A transcript of this particular service would also be helpful. This would have been approximately the first Sunday in January 2017. Again: I am posting this observation as a "personal observation" based on what I heard and saw and confirmed on my phone in the google search. This is my own personal opinion and is NOT an official declaration provided with substantiating document proof. Normally I would have an actual transcript or video to comment on.
I do however stand before God as making this statement and I am aware that witnesses 2 or more are required. My wife was with me in attendance. I would still really appreciate a transcript if available with documentation. I am rebuking the Emmanuel "pastor" Danny based on his usage of said "Red Book." I am stating that I vividly recall he was promoting the book that was not the bible to encourage his followers to read. My wife as a witness was also with me that day in attendance. Additionally, to clarify: At no time was Danny lifting up Eastern Mysticism or Gnosticism directly emphasized or any associated word or words or terminology directly expressed.
Major Problem: Although Danny was not officially promoting a heretical philosophy to his congregation - He was approaching his entire presentation on the key themes of "building up your inner man to be a better you" "only by being a better person - are you able to serve God better. " Of course - On the surface this sounds most noble and sound teaching. The major danger here however, this is a direct violation to the warnings of Jesus Christ and his apostles to avoid mankind's philosophy but to focus on the cross and Christ crucified. Read clearly for yourself the stark warning in Colossians 2:8 KJV
“Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.”
At no time did Danny preach the cross and Christ crucified as the only way for mankind to be regenerated and then through godly - biblical discipleship in sanctification - be that "better person IN Christ '. God does not want you fixed through self help fix it programs - even those supposedly Christians self help gurus who take your money. No God wants you crucified with Christ. Read Galatians 2:20 KJV ....
King James Version (KJV)
We know in scripture that the GOSPEL is We are saved by believing that Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins. He was buried and rose again on the third day. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV. Our mission and purpose is to bring the Gospel to the lost world. We are to grow in Christ and understand that Christ and Him crucified is what we live by and proclaim. Instead of pumping the vain philosophy of man. Danny needs to be preaching the word of God out of the KJV Bible.
To begin with the message of Salvation that Danny presents:
Commentary: Jesus did not come to this world to be our friend and that was NOT his mission - the dispensation of the kingdom for the Jews aside - Jesus came to save mankind from eternal spiritual death. The Gospels and Pauline Epistles are thorough on these points.
What I can speak to directly on written content from the Emmanuel website and their Facebook page I address as follows:
To begin with the message of Salvation that Danny presents on the Website video:
What Danny gives the audience is a history lesson of Jesus Christ in that he died on the cross and rose again. He presents Jesus Christ as a loving hug bunny who desperately needs to be your friend and implies that you just ask him to be your friend you’re half way to salvation because if you need a friend and you acknowledge that Jesus really needs you to be his friend you’re ready for the next step.
Problem: Jesus did not come to this world with the MISSION to be our friend and that was NOT his mission - the dispensation of the kingdom for the Jews aside - Jesus came to save mankind from eternal spiritual death and set us free from the bondage of sin. In the context of salvation - in depth understanding of soteriology there is nowhere where Jesus needs us to be his friend nor does he ask us to be his friend when coming to the cross. The Scriptures found in the gospels including Pauline Epistles clearly lay this out.
Next: Danny preaches the gospel like this to lead the sinner to salvation.

What needs to be said:
The GOSPEL = SALVATION. The most simple message of Salvation is found in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV as follows:
WE ARE SAVED BY BELIEVING THAT JESUS CHRIST CAME AND DIED ON THE CROSS FOR OUR SINS. HE WAS BURIED. HE ROSE AGAIN ON THE 3RD DAY. SIN is what separates us from God. Sin is what needs to be erased.. Salvation brings this about. It's called Propitiation = atonement. The ass saved by the lamb. Read Exodus 13:13 KJV. Believing there was a Jesus and he died on the cross for your sins without full understanding that your sins were nailed on that cross and Jesus Died FOR YOUR SINS = Atonement. Teaching anything else is simply Church History 101. Stick to Scripture.
Danny did not give this Salvation message. What Danny gave his audience is the HISTORY OF JESUS CHRIST and a misunderstanding that IF you BELIEVE JESUS DIED FOR YOU ON THE CROSS - leaving out died for your sins on the cross - that he was buried and rose again on the 3rd day. These so called pastors need to stick with what is written in scripture and STOP going off script in their own vain imagination of they think Jesus is. This is a dangerous path. Heed the warning in Jude 1:11 KJV... The souls mentioned in Jude 1:11 KJV followed Religion in their own vain imagination and for gain.
One can only pray that the repentant sinner knows his condition is hopeless and in need of salvation. One can only pray that somehow the person listening to Danny knows they are believing Jesus Christ died FOR THEIR SINS on the cross. It is a very personal issue. Your sins were paid for on the cross. Without the BLOOD there is NO remission of sins there is no regeneration. The books of Hebrews, John, and Romans primarily refer.
Critics may point out that these are minor points. I will let the reader decide. I know these are major points and the purpose of this Blog is to point out as a witness and testimony. I couldn't care less what people think. I only care about what God's word says.

Nowhere in scripture are we told to focus on the life right here and now. This is pure Dominion Theology and is exactly what has overtaken the church operations of this day. Emmanuel is not looking UP they are focused with looking at this world and in its full operation. Scripture after scripture tells us to look up for our redemption and blessed hope. To not be focused on the things of this world. The things of this world are not important. The things of this world are temporal. The things of the unseen world are eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:18 KJV, Titus 2:11-13 KJV, Matthew 6:19 KJV, 1 Timothy 6:9 KJV . 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 KJV Etc. Therefore instead of the false teaching of Jesus came to give you and abundant life- scripture reads: Jesus came to give you (eternal) life in more abundance. The word abundantly here is used as an adjective. Life is used as the noun. Interpreting scripture with scripture we find this word abundantly used in several other scriptures like Matthew 5, Romans 3, etc. When used together we clearly see that this means: A large amount: A qualitative NOT quantitative amount. This means Jesus came to give us a very large amount of LIFE - ETERNAL LIFE. While we're on this, let's look at the perverted modern bible translations for John 10:10. Look at the NIV: "I came that you might have life and have it to the full.
False teachers love this verse. Especially the Kenneth Copeland Prosperity Gospel and the NAR Bill Johnson's @ BETHEL Church etc. I came out of this false world. Please read where I spent 50 years plus going to church to learn hard lessons. I send this in love and a plea to wake up. I wish someone could have told me this 50 years ago.

Updates on the Apostate Church of Today
This is exactly in accordance with the message I personally witnessed Danny preaching on that Sunday service I attended. The central drive and focus of this brick and mortar operation is to promote the things of this world and focus on the here and now. Of course they mix in manna - truth with the leaven of lies and deception.

Accordingly the Official Website proves to me in writing some further problematic issues I'd like to address that bear witness to what comments I've gleaned from members, former and active, from my own personal observation and from experience with operations that are similar in nature to Emmanuel. See my notes below. Aside from the donate and heavy reliance on "groups" which I address in notes below.
The GIVING LINK The calculator is quite disgusting. Yes, Let's make sure they extract the 10 % tithe. Read where this IS NOT a requirement for the church age. This is another reason these modern day churches do not teach dispensationalism. If their sheeple learned they didn't have to give 10% of their gross income - imagine the loss these charlatans would suffer by writing off their 501C3 filthy lure income. Wake up people these false teachers and church operations are making merchandise of you and your children's inheritance. I know of personal interviews that Emmanuel tracks each personal monthly giving and if you're behind you have to donate personal time service in service of Danny's operation.
The key area of concern is the WHAT WE BELIEVE PAGE which speaks volumes:
In all areas beginning with the Bible. The scriptures used to defend the Bible are not complete with exception of 2 Timothy 3:16. Sadly using perverted Translations that you support, please compare 2 Timothy 3:16 and Psalms 12:6,7 with your translation (you probably use NASB) and with the King James Version. (not to be confused with the NKJV which is also from corrupted text. Also, a concern is you should stick to the bible using scripture to tell us what the Bible which is the word of God truly is. You leave out major issues of why we have God's word. For further discussion please read my notes below and we can discuss.
Your thoughts on the Trinity is not based on scripture meaning GODHEAD which is NOT Trinity. Please see my notes. Your thoughts on Father: Your scriptures used do not say what you write. Please check your use of Father with what you post. Regarding Son: Jesus Christ is NOT the only son of God. This comment you have in your statement of faith is proof that using perverted bible translations and repeating what you've heard from false teachers brings your testimony as a church to open shame. We are commanded in 2 Timothy 2:15 to Study to show ourselves approved unto God..." There are many who are also "sons of God" . Your thoughts on Genesis 6:4 KJV (fallen angels) Romans 8:19 KJV (the saints as we await our glorified bodies) etc?
If your belief is Jesus is the "only" son - then who are the other sons? My KJV bible clearly tells me Jesus is the "only begotten son" of God. You're getting only vs only begotten from your perverted translation NIV ESV etc. But oddly enough the NASB does use begotten. There are however countless other errors in NASB. see my studies below. I urge you to read Dr. Hinton's work in my notes below on why only begotten which proves DIVINITY through DNA . Holy Spirit: What you write is not accurately written in accordance with scripture. Also what you list as scripture references are not even remotely related to what you post on the Holy Spirit. Please study this further. Sin: Your scripture verses are far from what you're writing. Genesis 1:3 is "Let there be Light". This scripture is referring to creation not man born into sin. This is disturbing because you're not focused on scripture to say what you say which means you are repeating things you've read or heard but have not studied God's word for yourselves. This is the same spirit I witnessed when Danny got up in his Motivational Coaching speech without using the power found in none other than the pure FINAL AUTHORITY of God's Word. Dr. Grady's work: The Final Authority addresses this in detail.
Salvation: Major issue: you say quote: Anyone can receive this free gift by placing their faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus.
My KJV bible tells me that salvation is found by: BELIEVING JESUS CHRIST DIED ON THE CROSS FOR MY SINS, HE WAS BURIED, AND ROSE AGAIN ON THE THIRD DAY. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV.
Please clarify this to your readers and followers. The words: "placing faith in." is not what is written in the GOSPEL. See notes on why this is so important and why too many so called church operations and in their evangelism are not teaching this. Where faith is in fact written is what you've correctly written: Ephesians 2:8,9 KJV is: Faith is what saved us and not our works. But what is faith? Believing something in someone we can not see. What we believe in is: JESUS CAME AND DIED FOR OUR SINS, he was buried and rose again on the 3rd day. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV ... Please stick to scripture and use the correct scripture.
Growth:
Other than Romans 12:2 your scripture reference are not what you write. Also please define clearly what you mean by transformation in reference to growth - discipleship and the relationship to sanctification. You do NOT even remotely discuss this and this is the heart of Growth. It's honestly as if your marketing gurus gave you the buzz words - but someone failed to know what it means. If you would like scripture and reference material to discuss please contact me. This is the heart of what a church should do in ministering and "developing" the flock to be disciples of Christ. In my blog studies below I have personally witnessed in many church operations that churches are not growing their followers it seems they're in a continued state of DRINKING MILK. Paul was deeply bothered by this with the Corinthians.
Baptism:
I think I know why you use Romans 6:4. Not really clear however using scripture with scripture. Please clarify in your statement of faith. Thankfully you're not making Baptism as a requirement for salvation as do many denominations especially those of the Baptist sects.
Communion:
Scriptures are solid. However major issue: Request you clearly tell your viewers what you use as scriptural justification: The CUP is the BLOOD Jesus Christ shed for many for the REMISSION OF SIN. Today's modern churches shy away from "the blood of the lamb" and when they do mention blood, they gloss over it politely like I see here in your
website: WHAT WE BELIEVE...
Heaven, Hell & Satan:
1 Thessalonians 4:16; Matthew 8:11-12; Isaiah 14:12-17; Ephesians 2:2, 6:12
Fortunately Emmanuel teaches the literal heaven, hell and the devil. It is unsettling however, your use of scriptures in the context.
1 Thessalonians 4:16 KJV is the Rapture. I guess this is your way of saying true believers will be Raptured? Who knows what you're trying to teach with this scripture. What you should be saying is: "This is our blessed hope"... and yet you mention nothing of this. No surprise. As per my research in notes below, although over 1/4 of the Bible is about Prophecy and end time events, over 80 % of so called churches rarely address these scriptures. Instead of this awesome event we should be looking for, you mention the devil , heaven and hell - emphasizing that the devil is real.
Why you'd use Matthew 8:11-12 in the context of heaven, hell and satan is beyond me. Matthew 8:11 KJV Is talking about the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. This event takes place at the end of the Tribulation, after the Battle of Armageddon, and at the beginning of the millennial kingdom of Jesus Christ on earth. This will take place on earth in the new kingdom with the church age saints and the tribulations saints. This has nothing to do with Heaven, Hell or especially Satan. Verse 12 of Chapter 8 of the book of Matthew is referring to those Jews who think - call themselves Jews but are not - but are the synagogue of Satan (Revelation 3:9 KJV). This has nothing to do with Heaven in the context you post or hell considered for this dispensation nor does it address Satan. These referenced in Matthew 8:12 who "think" they're going to sit down with Christ in the Kingdom on earth NOT HEAVEN (this is an actual physical theocracy of Jesus Christ) where those who assume in error that through their Jewish bloodlines to Abraham will save them. This is primarily addressing the Pharisees and their kind (both figurative and literal blood lines - reference to why God said he loved Jacob and hated Esau) who will get booted out of the Millennial Kingdom and be sent to Shoal - Hades - Hell to await the final Great White Throne Judgement which follows the Millennial kingdom and be cast into the eternal lake of fire. However in the context of your Website I believe you're telling your audience that there's a real place called hell. If so then why aren't you telling them scripture that refers to this age and dispensation regarding hell and not what's happening during the Tribulation to those who think they are Jews but are not. This would be very confusing to anyone even half awake. This is also a huge reason churches need to teach Dispensational truth. I know for a fact from interviewing some of the Emmanuel members that they are not taught or believe in Dispensational doctrine.
You address Hell. what about the BEMA Judgement? The Great White Throne Judgement? The Eternal Lake of Fire? I only mention this because of the scriptures you use. I ask you to take a moment to open your NASB or NIV or ESV bible you use and compare what you quote as referring to Satan. The reasons I believe you don't use the book of Revelation is many if not most of the modern day churches avoid the book of Revelation like the plague. I do not speak without knowledge. Please read my notes. But this stems primarily with Kingdom Building - Dominion Theology and the New Apostolic Reformation movement in the church today. I invite you to share with your flock and how that is so importantly connected to the biblical premillennial eschatological doctrine you do not teach your people.
