Background:


This is an open letter of rebuke to Mr. Joel Rosenberg. I  harbor no hatred for any people of any race, creed or ethnicity. We love Israel and the Jews and believe the Jews are God’s chosen people as written clearly in the scriptures and abhor replacement theology. Accordingly, after this current church age dispensation of grace, God will fulfill his promises made to Abraham for God does not lie. Amen! We both believe in the Bible, King James Version Translation (all modern versions are corrupt - see Note 8 below in why Bible Translations are important) as is the infallible word of God. Certainly there are many faiths like Muslims who are sincerely trying to find truth and live godly lives. Although Catholics consider themselves Christian by the doctrine of the Vatican, sadly their belief system and religious practices and creed is far from the word of God.

Tragically the modern day church buildings and religions, traditions of man like the Evangelical Church, Baptists, and literally thousands of other denominations in their church buildings and practices are mostly apostate and far from the practice of the word of God. It is only the remnant of believers who comprise the true body of Christ, the Saints who are really The Church, The Body of Christ. See Note 8 below for details. As noted in note 8 we firmly believe we are in the last days of this church age, the age of grace and soon the body of Christ will be caught up, in the rapture of the church.


I harbor no ill will for Joel C. Rosenberg. He is a brilliant, gifted, kind, loving, godly man who loves God and country. His passion for Israel and his people is powerful and especially his love for the world. His devotion to the ideals and freedoms of the United States and the preservation of National Israel is strongly applauded. Most importantly, we are thankful God is using him to get people to start asking questions about their eternal soul and about Jesus Christ. We sincerely pray Joel’s eyes may be opened to the truth he is sinning against the Gospel and accept this rebuke and repent as did Peter when confronted by Paul in Galatians 2:11-21 at Antioch. We also acknowledge that certainly God is using him in these last days to get people to start asking questions about their eternal souls. However, he is misleading and leading people astray either through ignorance or with intent and sadly is being used by Satan as a Judas Goat see note 9. Therefore, The Purpose of This Letter Is An Open Rebuke of Joel C. Rosenberg as follows:


In accordance with Titus 1:9-16; 2:15; and 2 Timothy 4:2-4 I  Rebuke Joel C. Rosenberg. Joel must also answer to God for preaching a different Gospel in accordance with Galatians 1:8,9. Specifically for preaching the Kingdom Gospel in his audios and blogs note 3, and speaking appearances notes 4 and 5,  specifically. More detail provided below. Kingdom Gospel is the Gospel of the Dispensation of the Kingdom as introduced by John the Baptist and offered by Jesus Christ at His first advent spoken of primarily in the 4 Gospels of the New Testament instead of the Gospel of Paul, the church age, also known as the age of Grace which is the true  Gospel of Jesus Christ. This Gospel is as follows: Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that He was buried and that He rose again the third day according to the scriptures as written in 1 Corinthians 15: 1-4. Also Joel C. Rosenberg by speech, teaching, preaching and in his writings is a full fledged adherent of Kingdom Now, Dominion Theology which has the ultimate purpose of building the Kingdom of the Antichrist and not following scriptures according to rightly dividing the word of truth in proper dispensation. 2 Timothy 2:15. For details please refer to Note 8. In the name of Jesus Christ we ask this work stand as a testimony and as an eternal witness for the purpose of and for the Glory of God our Heavenly Father and to our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen!

Additionally and ironically as shown in Joel’s video embedded below in time 14:30 Note 4, Ezekiel 33 compels us to warn and call out Joel C. Rosenberg as he has been commissioned to warn people about what’s coming.

Joel claims over and over again the purpose of his writing his Fiction Novels is 3 fold: 1. To Warn of the coming events, 2. To Entertain the reader and 3. To share the Gospel. Note 3. Over the past several years, I have personally read many of Joel’s Blogs and listened to a number of his audio presentations and high profile interviews. They are all very informative and well researched investigative journals providing great insight into the current time line we’re living. His warning is only mild suggesting that we need to get ready for the coming return of Jesus Christ (implying heavily the 2nd Advent and not the catching up of the body of Christ which is Biblically correct). There’s no entertainment value in my opinion and of course and the gospel message is completely twisted as Dominion Theology and the Kingdom Gospel taken completely out of the proper Dispensation. In reading many of his Blogs, listening to his many preaching, teaching, book selling promotional tours he never really confesses the Gospel according to 1 Corinthians 15:1-4; Ephesians 2:8,9. There is however a conclusion he writes in his website, note 3, under, “My Spiritual Journey” as follows:

Quote: “How much the world has changed since then. Today, there are an estimated 15,000 Jewish believers in Jesus in Israel alone. Worldwide, I believe the number is north of 250,000. What a startling increase, and my father and I and three of my four sons are part of those numbers, part of that dramatic trend. Jews are turning to Jesus in record numbers, and they are getting excited about His Second Coming. (here clearly be either design or ignorance, Joel C. Rosenberg is preparing his followers to go through the Tribulation and does not explain that the 2nd Advent is NOT the blessed hope for the Church. Red Letter the author’s note)

Which leads us back to the question I am asked so often, “How can a Jewish person believe in Jesus?”

It is simple, really. By coming to the realization that Jesus is the fulfillment of the Messianic prophecies set forth in the Jewish Scriptures. By realizing that Daniel 9:27 says that the Messiah had to come before the Second Temple would be destroyed, and Jesus did just that (and predicted the Temple’s destruction as well). By believing in your heart and confessing with your mouth that that Jesus’ death on the cross served as a once-for-all-time sacrifice to wash away your sins, and that His resurrection from the dead is proof of His divinity, proof that He is who He says He is: the only way to heaven. And by accepting that Jesus really is the Anointed One we Jewish people were waiting for—come to love us, come to save us, come to give us hope and purpose and a new, abundant, transformed life, better than we could have ever hoped for, dreamt of, or imagined.”


Obviously we say Amen! With the following observations: Daniel 9:27 is not referring to what Joel says, we address below. Confession of your mouth is taken from Romans 10:9-12 and is not a condition of salvation Please read this study: 




Otherwise, Praise God,  Joel C. Rosenberg is making an attempt to preach and proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ here. Sadly, however, as we’ve noted in speech and blogs he never proclaims this without twisting it into Dominion Theology. You can also notice in his statement that he’s subtly dangling a carrot in front of Jews without clearly telling them that the promises Joel mentions will NOT be fulfilled completely until the Millennial Kingdom of Jesus Christ. The reader is led to believe this will be and can be fulfilled on this side of the Tribulation and this is very misleading.


Many readers of Joel's books claim each book as good, well researched entertainment and insight into the geopolitical drama unfolding before our very eyes each day. Looking at Bible Eschatology there are great parallels that Joel uses very well. But as far as good bible based teaching or promoting the gospel there was never any true value found in any of Joel’s books. As far as warning people of the coming doom scenarios that are directly related to the Bible, Joel’s novels are indeed warning of the global events connected to the Bible, but are severely lacking and absent regarding the truth in the coming destruction and a warning to the Jews of the soon coming time of Jacob's trouble. For details see note 8. As for the Saints, the body of Christ, there is absolutely no to little value in Joel’s novels that prepare or get the reader excited for our blessed hope also known as the Catching away or Rapture of the Church in accordance with 1 Corinthians 15:51-53; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18. We have often discussed with alarm the continued work of Joel Rosenberg in the Ecumenical movement and his growing support of and teaching of Dominion Theology, and the Social Gospel. The question is: To what end and purpose? Let’s examine here as follows.


In the past 48 hours from the time of this letter, Joel has blogged and tweeted two very disturbing proclamations detailed and reposted here below in endnotes 1 and 2 for reference.

Endnote 1 is cause for a clear alarm, a warning from the watchman to alert Joel C. Rosenberg and his followers that he is and has fully embraced and is promoting Ecumenism specifically the Vatican Catholic church, all Christian religions and Islam. He has completely through inclusion placed the Christian church in bed with the harlot Catholic church and with Islam. Endnote 2 is a clear indictment against Joel C. Rosenberg in that he has openly declared that Christianity, including Catholicism which does not follow the doctrine of the Christian church which is the body of Christ in accordance with the word of God, Judaism, and Islam are now poised and positioned to be embraced as one in peace which is clearly a push for the one world religion and is completely against any scripture. Please see note 8 detailing the eschatology of the end time 1 world government, 1 world religion, and 1 world economy of the Beast System of the Antichrist during the Tribulation period also known as the time of Jacob’s trouble.

Anyone or institution which follows and supports and defends Joel C. Rosenberg is not a victim but rather an accomplice in the heretical doctrine and practice of Ecumenism, Dominion Theology, and a perverted false gospel declaring that it is the duty of Christians to bring about the Kingdom of God to ensure that Jews and Muslims all accept Jesus Christ and be saved and the Kingdom of God be established here on earth. Read note 8 links to see that such teaching as preparing people for the Tribulation period and establishing God’s kingdom here on earth is actually preparing for and building the kingdom of the Antichrist. Joel C. Rosenberg needs to be preaching the Gospel in accordance with 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 and preparing people to be saved through Jesus Christ and looking up for our blessed hope our redemption in the Catching up, the rapture of the body of Christ and not preparing to go through the Tribulation period.

Additionally, Joel C. Rosenberg preaches and teaches it is the duty of every Christian to engage and get active to promote the Kingdom Now, Dominion theology in order to embrace (love, participate in events with; engage in dialog and inter faith based working groups, join in a myriad of functions and activities, help by serving, ministering and giving financial support to the Joshua Fund so the Joshua Fund may supposedly fund these efforts in Israel and Israel’s neighbors including her enemies ) all other religions, namely Judaism and Islam and Catholicism with true Christianity to bring them into oneness for the Kingdom of God to be established here on earth. Note: An updated posted November 3, 2019. Joel has double downed on his Ecumenical,  Dominion Theology by pressuring Israel to as appoint an ambassador to the Christian world. Anyone who is awake can clearly see that there are several glaring problems here. Primarily mocking true Christianity to fit into the mold of political Zionism who believe Catholics,  Jews, Mormons and any false teaching of Christianity can claim to belong to the same goal of seeking common ground. Jesus Christ never attempted to fit into any religion and tradition of man. I am rebuking Joel and implore him to stop and repent from using God for filthy lucre, Titus 1:11; 1 Timothy 3:3; Jude 1:11 to profit from the Joshua Fund to promote the Kingdom Gospel Message and to promote Dominion Theology and the Social Gospel. To profit through tourism to promote the Kingdom Gospel which is not this current dispensation. To falsely claim he is using Joshua Fund Ministry to bring the gospel to and to bring about the Kingdom of God here on earth by working directly in Israel and the neighbors of Israel.


Joel C. Rosenberg,  I implore you to stop and repent of, confess of and turn from:

  • Embracing and espousing and professing ECUMENISM clearly delineated in notes 1 and 2 below.
  • Preaching the kingdom gospel. (clearly outlined by your own mouth in notes 3, 4 and 5 and throughout your website and embedded videos)   Instead of preaching the Gospel Message of Jesus Christ in the Church age as given to Paul in the age of grace as in: 1 Corinthians 15:1-4; Ephesians 2:8,9. (details in note 8)
  • Taking scripture completely out of context thereby distorting scriptures applied to essential doctrine. Most glaring examples are as follows: Misquoting Daniel 9:27 as an event having taken place and not the truth which will take place at the mid point of the Tribulation Note 3, Note 8; That Matthew 23:39 means what you quote as follow: “Just before His crucifixion, Jesus said this to His Jewish neighbors. “For I tell you, you will not see Me again until you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord’” (Matthew 23:39). In other words, until lots of Jewish people become followers of Jesus and get excited about His return to earth, He said He isn’t coming back.” No Joel! This is a lie Joel. This scripture has nothing whatsoever to do with this current age and dispensation in what you’re spouting. The truth is this scripture is referring directly to the Millennial Kingdom reign of Jesus Christ following the Time of Jacob’s trouble when the remnant of Jews who turn have accepted Jesus Christ as their messiah actually inherit the physical kingdom. See note 8 links. Dr. Andy Woods wrote an extensive study on this in his book “The Coming Kingdom” that addresses this issue specifically. (As noted in note 8 comments, we do not agree with Dr. Woods on some aspects of his book and his use of the perverted NASB Bible translation, however his overall study is superb on this subject. You continually mix in the gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John which are Kingdom Gospel books and misapply them to the church age. Note we are not hyper dispensationalists and truly believe all the Bible applies, but there are scriptures that if taken out of context in accordance with 2 Timothy 2:15, it causes great confusion and another reason Peter was so sternly rebuked by Paul as noted in Galatians 2:11-21.
  • Methodically preparing people for the Tribulation and detailing them through false teaching to go through the time of Jacob’s trouble as if this were for the church to go through along with Israel.
  • Promoting, teaching and preaching the Kingdom Now, Dominion Theology.
  • Promoting, teaching, and capitalizing through filthy lucre Social Gospel. And Pushing your books to promote the Gospel which they’re not and using false teachers like that Dr. Don Wilton to sell your books to evangelize.
  • Promoting, teaching and preaching an upside down version of Replacement Theology whereby mixing what is promised to and applies to the Jews and what is promised to and applies to the Church (body of christ, not a church religion or tradition of man). 
  • Promoting Joshua Fund as a Godly Bible based 501C3 that is promoting the Kingdom of God which it is NOT. Read note 8 links to see what is clearly the Kingdom of God according to scripture.
  • A willing pawn and agent if not an actual Judas Goat for and of the Luciferian Global Elite, the Neo Con Conservatives and Evangelical movement to restore the Kingdom of God upon this earth. See note 8 discussing Billy Graham and His friends and how Billy The Goat Graham was actually an agent of the Luciferian Global Elite and a TRUE NICOLAITAN.
  • Living and working much like Billy Graham have been “puffed” up by the Elite and have inside information to share making yourself a self-proclaimed Watchman and insinuating by craft as a Prophet of the hour.
  • Being of the same cloth as Reverend Johnnie Moore The Ecumenical PEACE Rick Warren, Kenneth Copeland, Joel Osteen, Ravi Zacharias, Greg Laurie and the countless other false teachers, prophets, wolves in sheep’s clothing discussed in note 8.


I could stop here, but first a few questions:


Who are you Joel C. Rosenberg? The obvious answer is what's plastered all over your website, to wit a few questions?


How can you be Jewish and believe in Jesus? You ask this several times and you should say what the scriptures say in Galatians 3:28-29 King James Version (KJV)

28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

In reference to note 3 below following questions continue:


Ezekiel 33 warning of the Watchman. Do you understand that to be a Watchman you have to know what you’re watching for? You’re allowing the wolves to enter the gates and calling out the boogie man as an existential threat that has been created by the New World Order. There is too much literature out there today (aside from the tin foil hats and conspiracy theorists ) that really raise questions about the legitimacy of the 911 attacks. Why are you over sensationalizing 911?


In Note 4 you begin by clearly trying to convey to us that the Bible teaches us to use prophecy in a very practical way. For sure. But why do you turn this around to your program?


A political thriller. January 2001, puts us in a cockpit of a plane to attack the USA. 9 MONTHS BEFORE 9-11. How did you gain so much knowledge into this event? You openly admit in Note 4 time 25:30 that you “personally know two (2) former directors of the CIA and a former Mossad director. You claim you used this knowledge in private conversations to write about your new books regarding ISIS. Okay, but what about 9-11. Why don’t you tell us how you obtained this information. Also, who can say they personally know 2 former directors of the CIA and a former Mossad director? How did this come about? The last time a nobody came from obscurity, a self proclaimed failed political consultant, as you say, was a failing preacher boy named Billy Graham in Los Angeles before William Randolph Hearst told his people to “puff Graham” after that day Graham became a super star. Just a thought.


Time 12:30-13:33 in Note 4 You admit that your God given talent, you don’t know how to do anything else, you’re a failed political consultant and your talent and calling is to create fiction and have a gift of “making things up.” and this is an “honorable profession”. If you were a fact based fiction writer like the former Tom Clancy, we wouldn’t care. But to turn and say you write to warn, entertain and to share the gospel is very unsettling at best. Why would you say this?


In Note 4 you are pleased to make sure we understand that you had the world’s attention. Over 160 T.V. shows in less than 60 days after 911. You became an instant super star. Again do you not realize that friendship with this world is not a friend of God James 4:4? Also Luke 6:26 King James Version (KJV)

26 Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets. Question: Why are you bragging about the love and adoration and attention of the world? If you closely study the true followers of Jesus Christ, you’ll find they were not loved by the world nor did they love the things of this world.


In Note 4 time 15:55 you warn the wicked. And say you’re an Ambassador of Jesus and we must as Ambassadors of Jesus, must know, study and share what’s coming, warn of judgement and the gospel. Amen! We agree, but do you realize you’re speaking truth and mixing in leaven by lying about what’s really going to come in the tribulation and the true gospel is in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, Ephesians 2:8,9? And not your Kingdom message as preached by John the Baptist and Jesus Christ in the Kingdom message?


Why would the King of Jordan Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein invite you and your wife to his home for 5 days and read your book and recommend it to his staff when he is a devout Sunni Muslim? The superficial answer of course is God’s divine plan and obviously King Abdullah is a very well read educated, and intelligent man who wants to know all about the world out there. But let’s not fool ourselves. The King as are all political rulers and leaders of today members of the global elite New World Order. Why would the King of Jordan travel to the United States on supposedly official business and not be met by the President of the United States but rather spend time with you hanging out? It doesn’t add up. If you bother to read Billy Graham and His friends exposing the super elite mixing in the religious ECUMENICAL issues of this world you’ll find the exact paradigm you’ve built upon Mr. Rosenberg.


Why at time 32 of note 3 are you saying quote: “the gospel is NOT ENOUGH?” Are we missing something? And following this why are you trying to tell your followers and readers that Genesis 12:1-3, the Abrahamic Covenant is tied in with your mission and your purpose in the Joshua Fund. Where is this found in the Bible?


At time 33:30 through 35 of note 3, why are you trying to shoehorn the body of Christ into unscriptural social gospel and the kingdom gospel and worse a hidden insinuation of the full blown apostasy of ECUMENISM driving in the kingdom of the Antichrist and the NEW WORLD ORDER? We openly rebuke you and your kind Joel C. Rosenberg. How dare you! It is NOT the church (body of Christ) mission statement to take on the social gospel and the agenda of the New World Order through Ecumenism. Please see details in note 8 about defining what LOVE is and how it applies to scripture and what is the mission of the body of Christ. You’ve perverted the true mission of the body of Christ Mr. Rosenberg.


All the way through note 3 you’re sowing in leaven especially getting people to buy into Evangelising the world through “your gospel, false kingdom gospel”


Why at time 42 do you mix up and confuse the second coming of Jesus Christ, the second advent with the Rapture and judgement?


Why is this person I to be Dr. Don Wilton pumping your book as a go to Evangelising tool? Even pushing his sheeple to buy 10 copies and hand them out and evangelize ?


What is this about time 54: note 3 Sending in Evangelizing teams? A commission team from that Baptist Brick and Mortar? What is their mission statement? Sounds like taking your books and your Ecumenism and JOSHUA FUND to the world.


Why are you telling us that we “must engage” the world, the Arab World, The Jews, the nations with you through your “JOSHUA FUND” . ?

Please use your God given great mind and heart for the people of Israel and the Middle East to preach the Gospel as we discussed and stop building the kingdom of the Antichrist by your Dominion Theology and Ecumenism of the 1 world religion of the Antichrist. AMEN!

UAE welcomes Pope for first-ever visit to Arabian Peninsula. Why did this Muslim nation invite him? And why was it so significant? Some insights.



(Jerusalem, Israel) — Three months ago, I had the opportunity to lead the first-ever Delegation of Evangelical leaders to visit the United Arab Emirates, at the invitation of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi.

My colleagues and I were deeply encouraged to meet privately with the Crown Prince for more than two hours, and to meet with other senior government officials. We also loved meeting and praying with senior Christian leaders, and learning that there are more than 700 churches operating openly and safely in the U.A.E., and that nearly one million followers of Jesus Christ live there, nearly ten percent of the population.

This week, the Crown Prince and his fellow sheikhs made another bold step, hosting the first-ever visit by a Roman Catholic Pope to the Arabian Peninsula in the history of Islam. They even permitted Pope Francis to hold a mass this morning. An estimated 120,000 Catholics showed up to the outdoor stadium, making this the largest Christian worship service in the history of the Middle East.

The three-day visit made front page headlines and led TV news programs throughout the Arab world, including Saudi Arabia, which as of yet has not allowed any church buildings to be constructed.

So, why exactly did this Sunni Muslim nation invite us and Pope Francis? And in the eyes of at least one prominent American Evangelical leader, what is the significance of the Pope’s visit this week?

To address these questions, I commend to your attention two op-eds, each written by friends of mine:


Why We Invited the Pope to the Arabian Peninsula by His Excellency Yousef al-Otaiba, the U.A.E.’s Ambassador to the United States.


The significance of Pope Francis’ UAE visit is impossible to exaggerate (Nobel Committee, take note) by Rev. Johnnie Moore (who joined our Evangelical Delegation to the UAE last November and was in Abu Dhabi this week to witness the Pope’s visit first-hand.)

I was moved by both articles, and hope you will be, too.

One additional thought for now: Do significant theological differences remain between Muslims and Christians, as well as between Catholics and Evangelicals? To be sure. My goal is not to blur those differences nor suggest they are not important. They are very important. Rather, my goal it is to see if people of different faiths who have deep disagreements over central theological matters (as well as social, cultural and political ones) can love and respect one another and encourage peace rather than the genocidal violence the region has known far too long. To this end, I’m glad to say I am seeing some hopeful signs of progress.

Dear Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al-Nahyan, crown prince of Abu Dhabi, Greetings from the holy city of Jerusalem, beloved and venerated by the world’s 15 million Jews, two billion Christians, and 1.6 billion Muslims, and by you.

I write this letter first and foremost to commend you, your fellow sheikhs, and the people of the United Arab Emirates on declaring 2019 as the Year of Tolerance. From the moment your father, the widely respected Sheikh Zayed, led his nation to independence and admittance into the United Nations in December of 1971, the UAE has endeavored to chart a path of social, religious and political moderation, as well as economic innovation, growth and progress. The results to date have been impressive.

Recently, however, you have taken even more dramatic and courageous steps. You have sought to demonstrate in both symbolic and practical ways that Muslims, Christians and Jews can live together in peace and mutual respect for one another, even while holding different (and deeply held) theological and political views on a range of significant issues.

This week you made history by welcoming His Holiness Pope Francis to the UAE, the first papal visit to a Sunni Arab Gulf country in the 14 centuries since the establishment of Islam.

You rolled out the red carpet for him, embraced him on live national television, and met privately with him to discuss matters of mutual importance. You also gave him a beautiful gift, the deed to the first Catholic church ever built in the UAE, back in 1962.

You arranged special meetings between the pope and Emirati Muslim scholars and clerics, as well as with Sheikh Ahmed al-Tayeb, the grand imam of Egypt’s al-Azhar mosque and university, the foremost institution of higher learning for Sunni Muslim scholars in the world.


You organized and hosted a two-day conference on how to advance peaceful coexistence that included Muslim, Christian and Jewish leaders.


At that event, the pope and grand imam became recipients of the first Human Fraternity Award, because of their outspoken efforts to oppose religious violence and extremism and promote tolerance and cooperation between peoples of different faiths, and no faith.

“Continue to embrace your brothers the Christian citizens everywhere, for they are our partners in our nation,” the grand imam urged Muslims during his televised speech in the UAE capital of Abu Dhabi.

Then he addressed the UAE’s Christian community, saying, “You are part of this nation. You are citizens, you are not a minority. You are citizens with full rights and responsibilities.”

Coming just weeks after the grand imam joined with Coptic Orthodox Pope Tawadros II to dedicate the Nativity of the Christ Cathedral in Egypt’s new administrative capital – the largest church ever built in the Middle East – such remarks made headlines throughout the region, including on the front pages of newspapers in Saudi Arabia, where no churches have yet been built.

If this were not enough, you and your colleagues then not only permitted but encouraged the pope to hold a morning mass in the largest stadium in your country. Upward of 150,000 Catholics attended, making this the largest Christian worship service ever held on the Arabian Peninsula.

Inviting the leader of Roman Catholicism was a powerful way to mark this Year of Tolerance. Yet you have done more.


Several months ago, you graciously invited me, a dual US-Israeli citizen, to bring the first-ever delegation of Evangelical Christian leaders to visit the UAE. Our meetings with you, your minister of tolerance, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak al-Nahyan, and a range of other senior government and religious leaders were illuminating.


We were deeply encouraged, for example, to learn that you and your government happily permit more than 700 Christian church congregations to meet and operate openly and safely in the UAE, and that nearly one million followers of Jesus live in the UAE, approximately 10% of the population. We were also encouraged that there is a small but thriving Jewish community in your country that, because of your leadership, is feeling increasingly comfortable to come out of the shadows.

CLEARLY, YOUR Year of Tolerance is off to an impressive start. I am writing now to invite you to go even further.


Would you come and visit the holy city of Jerusalem this year, and bring a delegation of Muslim, Christian and Jewish leaders with you?

I am not writing in an official capacity. As you know, because we discussed this when we met, I work neither for the government of the United States nor for Israel. I do not work for any political leader, nor am I writing on behalf of any officials in either country, or any country. I write to you simply as a Jew, an Evangelical, and a resident of Jerusalem.


Come visit al-Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock, locations of tremendous importance to your faith.


Come visit the Western Wall, the Jewish Quarter of the Old City, and the Yad Vashem Holocaust museum and memorial, locations that hold such tremendous importance to our faith.


Come, as well, to walk where Jesus – revered by us both – walked, from the Mount of Olives and the shores of the Sea of Galilee, to Bethlehem and Nazareth, to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and the Garden Tomb.


Come meet with Israeli and Palestinian government, business, civic and religious leaders. Come meet with Israeli and Palestinian young people. Share with us your much needed message of peace, mutual respect and tolerance. Share with us lessons you have learned from your father, and lessons you are teaching your children.


I have every reason to believe you would be welcomed warmly by the people of both sides. Indeed, I pray that God would use your visit to help bring a fresh breeze of healing and hope to a land much in need of both.
