My Heavenly Father Knows All About This...

My Heavenly Father knows all about this...

It was a morning I will never forget. Over three years ago, I stood in the garage of my beautiful home in southern California after just having finished sweeping up the last bit of debris. The house was barren empty and now clean. A car pulled up and two men got out and briskly walked up. One of the men grunted and quickly, almost running got into the house and began walking around to check the place out. The other man, a tall, strong man with a commanding presence asked me why I was cleaning the house they were about to take possession of. (Through bank foreclosure).

He said He'd never seen the likes of this, and in fact many people tear up, destroy, and leave their foreclosed property in shambles. Hence the other man's urgency to get in the house as soon as he had the deed.I laughed unconsciously. I didn't really know what to say and I was preparing to get my car keys to the car I would soon be turning into the car dealer. But something made me stop. The man wanted to talk to me. The Holy Spirit told me that this was a moment that needed to be addressed, so I stood next to him quietly as he was trying to sort out what his eyes were witnessing.

He felt pain. His face looked like he was thinking, "what is going on here? what am I witnessing?" I let him speak. He slowly got out the words, "I've never seen this before. Can I ask.... ?" I answered with an unction of the Holy Spirit, "I don't understand either. But God knows! All I know sir is it is God's will you are standing here with the deed to this house and I'm supposed to clean it for you." He seemed stunned and I talked to him more about Jesus Christ and about how I was learning to see that which is unseen and that that which is unseen is eternal and the things that are seen are very temporary. I didn't leave until I felt peace in my heart that there was nothing else to be said.I found this in my devotions this morning: Oswald Chambers: My Utmost for His Highest: "The Concept of Divine Control."Fill your mind with the thought that God is there. And once your mind is truly filled with that thought, when you experience difficulties it will be as easy as breathing for you to remember, "My heavenly Father knows all about this!" "God is my Father, He loves me, and I will never think of anything that He will forget, so why should I worry?"My prayer: "Dear Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior, through the Holy Spirit, help me to always remember that you are always with me and that you know all about everything in my life. That there is nothing too big or too small for you, and even the smallest detail in my life happens because of your will. May I be your obedient servant always. Your will be done. Amen."
