Do not use Perverted Bibles to Understand the King James Bible




Here is a comment I received today regarding the King James Bible:



"You can always use the easier version to compare and help on understanding the KJV."


My response:


Tell me please how comparing these scriptures helps me understand the KJV better? All this tells me is ONE VERSION IS A LIE. Here is the NIV: Psalm 12:6,7: " “I will protect them from those who malign them.”

6 And the words of the Lord are flawless,

like silver purified in a crucible,

like gold[c] refined seven times.


7 You, Lord, will keep the needy safe

and will protect us forever from the wicked


Here is the King James Bible:

6 The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.


7 Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.


Note: The antecedent of the 3rd person object pronoun "them" in verse 7 is "The WORDS of the Lord." in verse 6. Any English professor will attest to this truth.


Now, HOW can I use a PERVERTED TRANSLATION TO HELP ME UNDERSTAND THE KING JAMES BIBLE?

The answer to my rhetorical question is. "IT CAN NOT."



PEOPLE DO NOT USE PERVERTED BIBLES TO UNDERSTAND THE KING JAMES BIBLE. USE A GOOD DICTIONARY LIKE THE OXFORD ENGLISH DICTIONARY IF YOU NEED HELP.
