The 7 churches in Revelation chapters 2 and 3 were actual physical churches in Asia Minor who literally exhibited the traits that Jesus called out. We have Paul discussing the issues of the beasts at Ephesus, by expressing deep concern about them in his letter to Timothy, and of course his concerns directly in his letter to the church at Ephesus. as a perfect example. (1 Corinthians 15:52, 1 Timothy 6:9,10; Ephesians chapters 2, 5 and 6.) What is astounding is these same churches applied directly to historical church ages since the first century.

Note: I fully realize that in Luke 13 Jesus is talking to the Jews who have rejected him.
