This Blog is about our Spiritual Life IN Jesus Christ and Him IN us who believe on Him and how we apply this existence to our physical world. The Gospel is found 1 Corinthians 15:1-4KJV
By the Grace of God this Blog is my written record of a "third heaven traveler", someone whose spirit lives in Christ in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6). Who is passing through this world and like Abraham a stranger and a pilgrim, rejecting those "cities" (religions) built by the hands of men. Maranatha!

This is Part 4 of the 7 Part Study on the Messianic Psalms and how vital they are to our faith.
The focus of this study is Psalm 16 which is
Our Hope in the Resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
For this reason, I open with
verse 10 as the centerpiece to this study.
Psalms 16:10
“For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.”
King James Version (KJV)
Note: I will address the details of verse 10 below as I go through the 11 verses in ascending order.
See the connection of our corrupted mortal bodies redeemed by the uncorrupted in detail of verse 10 below
Prelude:
Just as in Psalm 2 whereby
The Holy Ghost -The Spirit of Christ - The Mind of Christ speaking through the mouth of David - once again establishes Jesus Christ as God Almighty who will reign for eternity and "the Saints" will reign with Him. And that all the enemies of God will be destroyed forever.
Here in Psalm 16, we see The Holy Ghost -The Spirit of Christ - The Mind of Christ speaking through the mouth of David - once again establishes Jesus Christ as God Almighty and declares prophetically:
OUR HOPE IN SALVATION COMES FROM THE RESURRECTION OF JESUS CHRIST raised from the dead.
And the miracle
Jesus ROSE* from the dead without decomposing to show the miracle of our hope in knowing we the Saints will have "glorified" bodies UNCORRUPTED raised from corrupted earthly bodies. To receive our inheritance* as the sons of God in our glorified bodies to be like Him.
* To Rise Oxford English Dictionary page 2556 4. To return to life; to come back from death or out of the grave.
“Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.”
King James Version (KJV)
1 Corinthians 15:13
“But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen:”
King James Version (KJV)
I strongly encourage you to stop here and read all of 1 Corinthians Chapter 15 KJV. It is of no coincidence Chapter 15 contains the GOSPEL and the Rapture verses and this very precious connection to Psalm Chapter 16.
Our inheritance that is eternal with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
We see here in 1 Corinthians 15:20 Firstfruits (plural) used with the preposition "OF" them (3rd person object plural pronoun referring to all the Saints as the object of existing as the "firstfruits" meaning who have died and are awaiting their resurrection from the dead to be with Christ Jesus.
Firsfruits discussed in more detail below in verse 10.
Essential Background studies
Perquisite* reading
A prerequisite is something that is necessary before something else can be done
“(Michtam of David.) Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.”
King James Version (KJV)
Michtam (Golden Psalm*): The term "Michtam" signifies something valuable or hidden. Psalm 16, a "Golden Psalm," speaks of trust in God and the hope of resurrection.
* Golden: Figurative sense of "excellent, precious, best, most valuable"
* Psalm: from Greek to mean a Song sung to the accompaniment of a harp. In Hebrew the word means Praises.
This aligns with Jesus' resurrection, fulfilling the prophecy that He would not see corruption.
Several references refer to the Golden Psalm as a Musical term.
Some scholars believe "Michtam" could indeed have a musical connotation. In the Psalms, titles often indicate the intended use or musical setting. "Michtam" might refer to a particular style or melody used in worship, much like "Maschil" (a teaching psalm) or "Shiggaion" (a lyrical poem).
Here are a few possible interpretations:
Golden Melody: Some think it could indicate a precious or valuable tune, fitting for a psalm of great significance.
Engraved Song: It may suggest a song meant to be inscribed or memorized, hence its enduring value.
Secret Hymn: It could imply a private, intimate song of deep, personal reflection.
These psalms were likely sung or chanted, embedding their messages deep within the hearts of the faithful. The musical element adds an emotional layer, connecting worshippers to the divine through melody and lyric.
MICHTAM of David
MUSIC
The term "Michtam" (or "Miktam" in Hebrew) appears in
the titles of several Psalms attributed to David, such as
Psalms 16, 56, 57, 58, 59, and 60. The exact meaning of "Michtam" is uncertain, but it has
been interpreted in various ways:
Historical Perspective
Etymology: The word "Michtam" is derived from the Hebrew root כתם (katam), which means "to cover" or "to hide"2. This suggests that the term might have originally referred to something that is covered or hidden3.
Here are the themes for each of the "Michtam" Psalms:
Psalm 16: Trust and Hope in God. David expresses his trust in God, finding his security and joy in Him. It also contains a prophetic reference to the Messiah's resurrection.
Psalm 56: Trusting God in Fear. Written during a time of danger and fear, David emphasizes his reliance on God's mercy and protection.
Psalm 57: Seeking Refuge in God. In this prayer, David seeks God's mercy and protection while hiding from his enemies, expressing confidence that God will save him.
Psalm 58: Divine Justice. David calls for God's justice against the wicked and expresses trust that God will eventually judge righteously.
Psalm 59: Deliverance from Enemies. David prays for deliverance from his enemies, affirming his trust in God's protection and expressing his hope in divine intervention.
Psalm 60: National Lament and Hope. A prayer for help and restoration after a military defeat, reflecting on God's past deliverance and expressing hope for future victory through divine aid.
Each Psalm carries a unique message but is united by themes of trust, protection, justice, and hope in God.
TRUST as we will discuss further is BELIEF.
I maintain the MICHTAM or GOLDEN Psalms is THE GOSPEL.
The Golden Psalms are specifically proclaiming SALVATION found in The Messiah Jesus Christ. Salvation is not found in Savior as the Yeshua wolves proclaiming another Jesus in the spirit of the antichrist. No, salvation is found in JESUS CHRIST.
Read my research. Yahweh is not Jehovah (Jesus) Yeshuah means savior but is not the name of Jesus. The Yeshua deception is a strong delusion of the Judaizers and is an extremely strong seducing spirit. It is another christ - antichrist spirit. 1 John 4:3 KJB and is as wicked as the pagan Trinity.
Acts 4:12
“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”
While researching the significance of the Michtam the word "superscription" kept appearing and noted as a significant factor in these GOLDEN PSALMS related to the Messianic Psalms which led me to the "ultimate superscription which hung over Jesus' cross "THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS" written in Greek, Latin and Hebrew.
Luke 23:38
“And a superscription also was written over him in letters of Greek, and Latin, and Hebrew, THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.”
King James Version (KJV)
The other Gospels:
Matthew 27:37: "And set up over his head his accusation written, THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS."
Mark 15:26: "And the superscription of his accusation was written over, THE KING OF THE JEWS."
John 19:19: "And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the cross. And the writing was, JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS."
A MAJOR DIRE WARNING TO THE JUDAIZERS of the YAWYEH YESHUA deception
The connection between the "Michtam" superscription in Psalm 16 and the superscription over Jesus' cross—"King of the Jews"—is deeply symbolic:
King of the Jews: The sign above Jesus' cross proclaimed His kingship in a literal and prophetic sense. It highlighted His role as the awaited Messiah, the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecies, including those seen in the Psalms.
Both superscriptions point to Jesus' divine mission and the profound mystery of His kingship and resurrection.
The "golden" nature of Psalm 16's message resonates with the supreme value of Jesus' sacrifice and triumph over death.
It’s a beautiful intersection of prophecy and fulfillment.
I understand that I spent a great deal of time talking about The GOLDEN Michtam. This is to portray the ESSENTIAL importance of what David is declaring here which is the foreshadowing of the GOSPEL BELIEF that Jesus DIED for our sins - according to the scriptures, that he was Buried, and that He Rose again the third day according to the Scriptures. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJB.
Death - Burial and RESURRECTION of Jesus Christ

See comely below in this study and the Song of Solomon 2:2 As a Lilly among the thorns H2336-1169 Ancient Hebrew Lexicon (thicket of thorns) Jesus was crowned with a crown of thorns - the connection to salvation - protecting the sheep is astounding.
The King James Bible uses Italics - slanted letters - to indicate words added by the translators for clarity or readability in English. These words do not appear in the original Hebrew or Greek texts but help the sentences make sense in English.
Extend in the Oxford English Dictionary page 936 reach, prolong in duration in the sense of the means to magnify in representation. In the context of Psalm 16:2 this is powerful in its meaning:

Essential Note:
It is here I need to insert a powerful connection that will hopefully make this clearer:
In the Messianic Psalms we are seeing the extensive display of the spiritual life of the Saints and our lives IN Christ and Him IN us.
In my Part 2 study, Sister Ursula noted the following:
Thank you for this heartfelt study. I wonder if this could be the meaning of:
2 Corinthians 5:16
“Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.”
King James Version (KJV)
2Co 5:16
Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.
...that we get to know Christ as the Father, who is Spirit?"
End quote
My response:
@ExposeDarkness511 Yes. Praise the Lord. How often I've read 2 Corinthians 5:16 without deeper thought. Now here today especially in light of this study how perfect. Amen! God bless you and Thank you Sister Ursula. Yes, absolutely. Jesus no longer walks among us in the flesh. From here, now throughout eternity, we know him no longer in the flesh, but as Spirit who is our Heavenly Father . I will add this scripture to the blog and in future references ...
•ExposeDarkness511 You know, 2 Corinthians 5:16 is really extraordinary in the light of this study. This deserves its own study which I would very much like to address please feel free to send me anything you may have on this. The body of Christ is amazing how one member is able to add to what others have found. Praise the Lord and thank you again. You know, this requires us to go into the depths of 2 Corinthians chapter 5 which all seems to be the theme of our lives existing as the SPIRITUAL beings we are. A subject Paul discusses frequently as you're aware. We know after Jesus' resurrection from the dead he walked among mankind for 40 days being witnessed by over 500. My point is I know we will always - for eternity - see Jesus' BODY, His PERSON as we will see each other in our glorified (SPIRITUAL) BODIES for eternity. And in summary, yes, all things are spiritual to us as Paul states in 1 Corinthians 2:14-16 KJB: 14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. 16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
Her response
ExposeDarkness511 @vietrandy1 Amen! 1Co 15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. 1Co 15:51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 1Co 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 1Co 15:53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 1Co 15:54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. Even the first and last Adam show flesh to spirit. 1Co 15:42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: 1Co 15:43 It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: 1Co 15:44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. 1Co 15:45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. 1Co 15:46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. 1Co 15:47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven. 1Co 15:48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. 1Co 15:49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly." End Quote
Final thought: ...that we get to know Christ as the Father, who is Spirit?"
This means that every time we see Jesus referring to His Father who we know is Spirit - the Spirit within Him - Himself Spiritually - We know Jesus Christ Spiritually.
Likewise as well we know Jesus as our KINSMAN REDEEMER we know Him as Jesus Christ who is our HEAVENLY FATHER.
OUR FATHER WHICH ART IN HEAVEN HALLOWED BE THINE NAME. THY KINGDOM COME, THY WILL BE DONE ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN.
Matthew 6:9-13 Version (KJV)
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
The Holy Ghost - The Spirit of Christ, Jesus Christ himself speaking through the mouth of David harmonizes with Jesus Christ speaking to the Church of Philadelphia.

1 Samuel 13:14
“But now thy kingdom shall not continue: the LORD hath sought him a man after his own heart, and the LORD hath commanded him to be captain over his people, because thou hast not kept that which the LORD commanded thee.”
Matthew Henry's commentary on this verse explains that it contrasts the blessedness of the saints with the misery of idolaters. The "sorrows shall be multiplied" refers to the increased troubles and afflictions that those who pursue false gods will experience. The "drink offerings of blood" likely refers to the blood sacrifices that were part of idolatrous worship, which David refuses to partake in or even mention.
Henry emphasizes that true delight and joy are found in following the true God, while those who turn to idols will face greater sorrows and consequences.
As we learned in Part 3 of this series. Again this is huge we see the SPIRITUL - SOUL Connection of how our soul must be under the authority of our spirit that has been born again to be a new creature whereby the SPIRIT OF TRUTH (Jesus Christ abides in us) John 16:13, Romans 8:9 guiding us into ALL TRUTH.
In Psalm 16:8 KJV, the word "reins" is translated from the Hebrew word ×›ִּלְ×™ָ×” (kilyah), which is Strong's Hebrew number H36291. This word can also be translated as "kidneys" and is often used figuratively to refer to the inner self or mind
Night Seasons:
In Psalm 16:7 KJV, "night seasons"
refers to the times of reflection, meditation,
and perhaps even distress that occur during the night. It's a poetic way of describing the quiet, often introspective moments when one contemplates deeply and receives guidance or wisdom. In this context, David is expressing gratitude for God's counsel and the comfort he receives, even during the stillness and solitude of the night.
"At my right hand" in Psalm 16:8 KJV symbolizes a position of honor, support, and protection. In ancient times, the right hand was considered the place of favor and strength. David is expressing his confidence in God's constant presence and assistance. This implies that with God beside him, he will not be shaken or moved by life's challenges. It's a powerful image of trust and divine companionship.
“For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.”
King James Version (KJV)
1 Samuel 13:14
“But now thy kingdom shall not continue: the LORD hath sought him a man after his own heart, and the LORD hath commanded him to be captain over his people, because thou hast not kept that which the LORD commanded thee.”
King James Version (KJV)
The Holy Ghost - The Spirit of Christ,
Jesus Christ himself speaking through
the mouth of David he David has the
blessed Hope of Salvation in Jesus
and that Jesus Christ will die and rise
from the dead without corruption
meaning his body will not decay. This
is the foreshadowing of scripture I
describe below.
Psalms 16:10
“For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.”
King James Version (KJV)
“Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.”
King James Version (KJV)
Acts 13:35
“Wherefore he saith also in another psalm, Thou shalt not suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.”
King James Version (KJV)
The bottom line to Psalm 16 is the Prophecy that Jesus Christ would die and RISE FROM THE DEAD before his body began to decay
The Hebrew word used in Psalm 16:10 is "Shachath" (Strong's H7843 H7844 H7845), meaning "pit" or "grave," but in context of corruption we see it meaning to spoil, ruined, wasted.
The Greek word in Acts 2:27 and 13:35, G13212 diaphthora, "decay of the body after death. Emphasizes decay and decomposition, rottenness. G1311 root: To change for the worse.
It’s fascinating how translation and linguistic nuances can impact interpretation. Despite these nuances, the core message aligns: the prophecy in Psalm 16 emphasizes that the Messiah would not undergo the corruption typically associated with death, pointing to Jesus’ resurrection before his body could decay.
Psalm 16: Discusses the resurrection (Quoted in Acts 2:25-28, 13:35)
Acts 2:25-28
25For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:
26 Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope:
27 Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
28 Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.
1 Corinthians 15:22
“For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.”
King James Version (KJV)
1 Peter 1:18
“Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;”
King James Version (KJV)
1 Corinthians 15:20
“But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.”
King James Version (KJV)
Note: Jesus Christ is The Firstfruit (singular).
Deuteronomy 18:4
“The firstfruit also of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the first of the fleece of thy sheep, shalt thou give him.”
King James Version (KJV)
We see here in 1 Corinthians 15:20 Firstfruits (plural) used with the preposition "OF" them (3rd person object plural pronoun referring to all the Saints as the object of existing as the "firstfruits" meaning who have died and are awaiting their resurrection from the dead to be with Christ Jesus.
1 Corinthians 15:21
“For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.”
King James Version (KJV)
1 Corinthians 15:22
“For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.”
King James Version (KJV)
Jesus Christ is the First Fruit. He exists from the Type And Shadow of the Harvest Wave Offering of Leviticus
Deuteronomy 18:4
“The firstfruitalso of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the first of the fleece of thy sheep, shalt thou give him.”
King James Version (KJV)
Scriptures from the James Version (KJV) that focus on the hope of resurrection through Jesus Christ:
1 Corinthians 15:20-22: "But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive."
John 11:25-26: "Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?"
Romans 6:4-5: "Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection."
1 Peter 1:3-4: "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you."
1 Corinthians 15:19
“If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.”
