Be it unto me according to your word.

BE IT UNTO ME according to your word. Luke 1:38

When Mary said these words to the angel Gabriel, she wasn't talking about words she read in the Bible since of course the Bible wasn't written. She was talking about the words Gabriel spoke directly from God which told her she'd be the mother of Jesus Christ. God uses the written word in the scriptures to teach us the law, build our faith, and teach us more of himself. But it's the Holy Spirit who gives us all we need to BE. And I will pray the Father, and he will give you another Comforter, to be with you for ever, even the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him; you know him, for he dwells with you, and will be in you." John 14.16-17."But the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you." John 14.26"But when the Comforter comes, whom I shall send you from the Father, even the Spirit of Truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will bear witness to me." John 15.26"Nevertheless I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Comforter will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you." John 16.7"So, LIFE comes by the Spirit and not the written word. There is no life changing power and authority in the written word. "the letter killeth, but the Spirit giveth life. (2 Cor. 3:6).""When I am born again by the Spirit of God, I know that Jesus Christ did not come only to teach - he came to make me what he teaches I should be." Oswald Chambers, My Utmost For His Highest. Heavenly Father, may we BE what the Holy Spirit teaches us through Jesus Christ our Lord.Amen.
