The Mission: Mission Impossible = God's Mission
I can’t do what you’ve set before Lord, so I know it is your calling that I do it, because as your word says, “my strength is made perfect in your weakness,” THEREFORE, I pray this day that your will be done in my life. I will do my best and will expect your grace to sustain me and lead me and guide me to victory in and through Jesus Christ my Lord and savior. Amen, Amen…
I’m constantly reminded almost every minute of my life that the mission God has called me to do is impossible for me to do in my own effort and is therefore certainly God who is gets the glory when I do in fact accomplish the impossible tasks God has set before me.When I read scriptures almost daily that say things like I am righteous before God through Jesus Christ and that I am made perfect and I will not only do but will also desire to do his will and that I will have no sin; that I’m justified, sanctified and eventually glorified etc. (Hebrews 13:21; Philippians 1:6, 2:13; Genesis 17:1; 2 Corinthians 13:11; Romans Ch 6, 8, 10:6-8; Ephesians Chap 1 and 2)… and then I read Deuteronomy 31:6-8 and Hebrews 13:15 that says that God goes BEFORE ME, IS WITH ME, HE WILL NOT FAIL ME, OR FORSAKE ME….
When I read and meditate on these things I know and am strengthed and know I have victory over sin and the second death and will be invited by faith (Romans 1:17; Hebrews 10:38) to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb in Revelation 19.And here’s where this takes me. Originally, when my wife left me two years ago , I thought I'd be returning to the U.S. , leaving behind what I knew I had been called to accomplish. I was very uneasy and disturbed in my heart knowing I had to stay, but peer pressure and family ties were demanding I go back.
Over time God intervened in mysterious ways and I was stayed put where I belonged.
We are slaves and things have now been happening that are beyond my comprehension. I can’t do this, but I will through his great grace, amen.I read Oswald Chambers this morning, “My utmost for His highest” September 4, : “His” “A missionary is someone in whom the Holy Spirit has brought abut this realization; “ You are not your own” (1 Corinthians 6:19). To say, “I am not my own,” is to have reached a high point in my spiritual stature.” And in May 22 he writes, “The things that happen either made us evil, or they make us more saintly, depending entirely on our relationship with God and its level of intimacy. If we will pray, regarding our own lives, ‘Your will be done” ((Matthew 26:42) then we will be encouraged and comforted by john 17, knowing that our Father is working according to His own wisdom, accommplishing what is best. “OK... A seemingly impossible mission of which I needed my right arm to accomplish has now been changed drastically and now I know by God's great grace I will prevail. Amen...
